In Motion, Inc., is a full service, turnkey event marketing and management firm based in the seaside community of Carlsbad in north county San Diego. We are a family owned and operated business and while small, our company produces a number of large road races. We are recognized nationally for our creativity and attention to detail as well as our passion for our work.

Our highly knowledgeable and very creative team is made up of qualified and experienced professionals of both family and «might as well be family» members. We love what we do and take pride in the positive impact our events and training programs have on the participants, the sponsors, and the community.

History

Established in 1981.

In Motion:

Founded by Lynn Flanagan, who’s daughters now run the company as CEO, Vice President and Training Program Director.

Carlsbad Marathon:

The San Diego Marathon name was officially retired just after the 2004 event, and the Carlsbad Marathon name was introduced. Now known as the Tri-​City Medical Center Carlsbad Marathon & Half Marathon, this boutique event is an unforgettable winter race that takes place every January.
