History

Established in 2012.

Icon Helicopters was started in 2012 to provide Helicopter Services based out of Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, Ca.

After six years working as a Flight Instructor and for the past three years as Assistant Chief Instructor at Civic Helicopters. In 2012, decided to expand our services beyond the instruction level. With the acquisition of a beautiful AS350 Astar helicopter and a new Robinson R44, Icon began providing only the best in Helicopter services.

We continue to provide the safest and most professional helicopter experience possible.

Business Owner

Icon is an FAA certificated air carrier under Part 135 offering charters, tours, aerial photography/​cinematography, skydiving and race support.

Dave has extensive aerial photography and filming experience in a variety of sports and across a wide range of terrain types, from downtown LA to Mexico, and spanning events from L.A. Marathon to TV shows.

In over 20 years of involvement in the Action sports and Motorsports industry, David has developed a deep insight for race support and photography. His extensive Automobile and Motorcycle racing experience on and off-​road includes Gumball, Skip Barber, and Poker Runs, as well as Baja 1000 and more.
