We loved this hotel!
We stayed there last Dec. because we wanted to visit Lego land. We have two small kids. Room is spacious, bathroom is clean, though it is small there is kitchen in the room. Fridge is normal size so if you are staying longer, it is a big plus. Kids approve TV channel choices, (our kids loves Disney Jr.) I love how the bedroom and living room are separated. They serve breakfast AND dinner (supper) so this is perfect for family who does not want to run around getting dinner after going to lego land! Also they have shuttle to lego land if you want to avoid parking fees.
The staff were all young but friendly and nice. My son got sick and he was throwing up everywhere– on the carpet in the room, also in the lobby. They took care of them quickly and very nice about it. Also they asked us how he’s doing later. I am truly thankful and highest compliments to the staff of the hotel making us feel comfortable though it was not fun situation.
The only setback is seating in the dining area are limited. Sometimes it is hard to find place to sit down… well then we just bring dishes back to the room. and I thought that’s ok.
We definitely will stay here again!

Great, affordable hotel chain. 12 o’clock check out. Good breakfasts. Will seek out Homewood Suites in the future — surprised these guys got it right!

We stayed here for 2 nights and im sorry to say we will not be coming back nor be recommending it to any friends or family. The first day, we didnt get housekeeping service and the guy at the reception nonchalantly told me that they dont do housekeeping on weekends to conserve water and we should have been told when we checked in.
Youre better off staying somewhere else.

we had issues with the shuttle service with where to be picked up and dropped off, we waited about 15min for them to actually Find where we were waiting for them. they also had us schedule a pickup time when I set up a drop off time, although I told them I wasn’t sure I’d be able to confirm a time since it was dependent on how long my kids would be able to handle at the theme park.
also during our two night stay, we know of two cars that were broken into in their parking lot. I really liked it here the first time, especially with their great complimentary full breakfast. but after this last visit, I’m weary to stay here again cuz of the issues we encountered. kinda expect a little more when we r paying over $ 150/​night.

Very clean, so clean in fact that it still smells like bleach the second day… The wifi won’t fully connect to mobile devices. Other than that, very nice rooms and very helpful staff. Definitely recommend a cleaning mix with a little less bleach yikes!!!

Great Breakfast and full set kitchen!

This place was wonderful. I came down here on a business trip with my husband from northern Calif. I was to stay the day while he had a big meeting. It was so nice having a kitchen to cook myself some lunch. I was able to do some work at the dining table and it was great having a living room to hang out in instead be being stuck sitting on a bed all day. They serve free dinner during the week with a choice of beer or wine. The beer was yummy along with all the food. This also included free breakfast and not just a coffee and donut. I had french toast with eggs the first day and waffles the second. I was even able to bring my dog and there was a grass area for him outside. From now on I’ll be looking for theses Home wood Suites when ever I travel. The people were also great to us.

I was there over Labor Day Weekend 2015. I used my Hilton Honor points and was able to get a room on Sunday night. The problem we faced was the following:
It was understaffed for the last big weekend of summer. One would think they would have had additional help.
Guaranteed check in time 4:00 pm didn’t happen. We had to wait until 5:15 pm. I had been checking with them since around 1:00 pm when we got down there. The response was each time, «Still cleaning the rooms.» I asked for the manager, but there was not one «on site.» Maybe there was one next door at the Hampton Inn, I don’t know. So we hung out by the pool until all the Legoland kids came back and infiltrated the small pool area. We were getting splashed by their water guns…
Now we’re in our room. Clean room, bright and airy and a nice kitchette. We pulled out the sofa bed and it was broken in the corner. When you laid on it, it sunk down rather quickly. It was quiet and I did have a good night’s sleep.
The morning breakfast was very nice. We arrived there at 7 am, and it looked very inviting. Don’t get there past 9 am, because it becomes very hectic. One woman is working it and she was very busy. We actually gave her a tip before we left b/​c she deserved it.
I will probably go back again, but maybe not on a «busy weekend» b/​c I don’t think they were able to handle the «sold out» weekend. I think it is good for families, as Legoland is adjacent. We were a couple with no children and came down to enjoy Carlsbad before the summer came to a close.

My family and I, celebrated my daughters 4^th birthday at Legoland. Originally we wanted to stay at the Legoland Hotel, for easy access to the theme park and so that my daughter can enjoy all the activities the hotel has to offer. However, of course, the Legoland hotel was a bit pricey per night.
I google & reviewed «HOMEWOOD SUITES» in Carlsbad, and without a doubt, am completely satisfied with my choice of booking our hotel here. My family SAVED a great amount of money + enjoyed our daughter bday/​mini vacation. We were able to have the complimentary breakfast, before our 4pm check-​in. Along with getting shuttle to the theme park before check-​in.
Saving $$$, I was able to do a treasure hunt for my daughter with better prizes than the Legoland hotel offered.

Just came back from a weekend stay, celebrating my daughter’s 5^th birthday. Check-​in was extremely smooth, I used online check in and chose my room via the app. When I got to the hotel it was earlier than the approved check in time. The room I reserved wasn’t ready, but several others were. The front desk clerk suggested a different room, a better room than what I had chosen and set me up. He also gave me a special welcome package.
Rooms: 1 bedroom King suite. It was a nice size for a family of four. There was a sofa bed that our young children used. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable and the sheets were a quality thread count. All of the kitchen items were extremely clean and the bathrooms were clean. I could smell the products used and that made me happy. (We were early so the smell was still there) Everything worked perfectly and the temp was good.
Breakfast: pretty good spread. Had all the basics: hot/​cold cereals, bagels/​muffins/​toasts, fruit, scrambled eggs, and meat. The prize here was the six waffle makers with different patterns and sizes. Really cut down on the wait time and gave the kids a variety. The breakfast room was a nice size too, lots of tables with different seating arrangements.
Staff: see above. It was just really great service.
I had to take a star away because our first night we received a call about noise control. We had literally walked in 5 minutes prior to the call and the kids were excited about the weekend trip. They may have jumped and squealed a tiny bit. Nothing to write home about. I thought it was just a bit quick to receive a call. Oh, and the corned beef hash this morning wasn’t the best. Other than that, perfect stay.

This is and was the best place to stay at during our trip to Legoland! Very clean, roomy, quiet, and accommodating! Huge rooms, nice kitchenette, great pool, and very comfortable beds! The kids had there own room while the hubs and me had ours. Our experience here was very comfortable and felt like vacation!
I will definetly be coming back here!

This hotel doesn’t deserve less than 5 stars. I had the most amazing experience here. I am a big time Unilocaler on reading reviews for almost every hotel or restaurant before I make a decision and this hotel made it to the list as #2 behind the Legoland Hotel but who wants to spend $ 599 a night there!?! Let’s be practical guys!
What was nice about this hotel was that they let me use the shuttle for a total of 4 people on Friday morning even though I couldn’t check in until late afternoon. That saved me $ 25.00 on preferred parking at Legoland. They offered to hold my luggage but I just decided to leave it in the car. So my shuttle was right on time on Friday at 10:20 am. Bryce was the gentleman I spoke to over the phone because I had to move my shuttle time up because I was running late. He was also the guy that dropped us off at Legoland. He is so sweet. I wish I can put him in my pocket & take him home! I also wish he can offer classes on how to give the best Customer Service because he is amazing. I would send everyone there because I wish everyone was exactly like him. He goes above & beyond well over what you expect a decent Customer Service person can provide. For an example: He was dropping off this lady at a hair salon place. She was frustrating me because #1 — She was late & rushing to be dropped off first, #2 — She didn’t even know the exact name of the place she was going. I had to Unilocal it myself to find out just to get her out of the van & we just assumed it was the same salon because of the similarities in the name. Bryce apologized to me about having to drop her off first. When we got there, Bryce ran all the way upstairs to see if this lady had an appointment with them & they did confirm. He ran back downstairs to the van & told the lady she was at the right place. So glad she was gone! When I say «ran» he was literally sprinting! Go Track Star!!!
Anyway, after our Day 1 Trip to Legoland, they picked us up at the exact location where we were dropped off. My check in went smooth. They put us right in front of the pool in Room 130 on the 1^st floor. The room was perfectly cleaned and spacious with a King Bed, Sofa bed in the living room, the central air was working great, & the fridge was colder than the fridge I have at home. 2 tv’s with 1 in each room. There was extra blankets, sheets, & pillows in the closet. There was a coffee maker & complimentary popcorn on the kitchen counter. Which was perfect because the girls were able to make a late night snack using the microwave. The kitchen had nice plates for meals & even pots and pans to cook with. There’s not an oven but there are burners & even a dish washer. They will even grocery shop for you if you make them a list! How awesome is that?! They have a heated pool & a really nicely heated jacuzzi. They even have a big bin of clean pool towels you can use & a bin for used towels.
We slept so comfortable. I did not even hear a peep from upstairs or in the hall or people splashing around in the pool. They had complimentary hot breakfast in the morning. You seriouslysave money at this hotel with not paying parking at Legoland and they have complimentary hot breakfast that is so worth it. Non of that bagels and cereal crap. Their coffee is great. They have hot chocolate & hot teas. They have a waffle station where you can make your own waffles which is super easy to do & it only takes 3 minutes since they have the batter all prepared & all you have to do is pour it into the waffle maker, put some strawberry toppings & whip cream on it and it’s gold! They have an oatmeal station where you can have plain oatmeal or top it with oatmeal toppings such as fruit and granola and etc. They also have cheesy scrambled eggs, ham, & hash browns. They had fruits & yogurts. They had an area where you can carb up on toasted bagels with cream cheese & they also had muffins & cookies. Everything was amazing!
I checked out after breakfast & they still let us use their shuttle. There’s another $ 25.00 saved on parking plus the complimentary breakfast for the 4 of us. We ate breakfast at Denny’s the day before and it cost me $ 60.00. So imagine all those savings! I ran into Bryce again & for the trouble of dropping that lady off first the day before, he let the girls pick some snacks out from their snack shop!
I would most definitely stay there again!!! I think Bryce was the cherry on top. Seriously you would feel the same way if you met him! I hope you guys get him if you decide to stay at this hotel so you can feel what I felt. Even if you don’t everyone is so nice! You will not be disappointed.

For families our room was perfect because lugging kids back and forth for breakfast was the most important part of our location. Also our room was located near one entrance to the parking area which was nice for our large family.
The room wasn’t that big. But for a smaller family would have been good.
Free breakfast every morning (everyday — waffles, cereal, bagels; different menu every morning — eggs, sausage, breakfast sandwich, pancakes, hash browns, etc)

Food — breakfast was very comfortable and convenient but the quality isn’t great.
except self-​serve waffles were as good as they get. Everything else is what you would expect from a homewood suites. cheap imitation eggs etc. but it was great for our family.
Service — entire staff was friendly and awesome.
Cleanliness — on point (except maybe the high chairs for the dining area)
Wi-​fi — free but the connection was terrible (at least in our room)
Parking — spots are really small.
Nearby — nothing is in walking distance. short drive to 24 hr fitness, trader joe’s. a little further away is the target and costco.

Stayed on Memorial Day weekend for the Jazz festival and loved everything about it! Minus one star for the couch/​sofa bed that needs to be replaced. Our room was on the 3^rd floor and we didn’t hear any noise from other rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff! The service elevator is SUPER slow, but it’s easy enough to use the main elevator

My family and I stayed here this weekend. What a wonderful hotel! The staff is just so friendly from the front desk to housekeeping. Walking down the hall the staff smiles or says hello to you, one of the many things I look for when I travel. The hotel is close to a lot. If your going to Legoland/​beacg this is a great hotel to stay at, just a few miles. Oh did I mention free breakfast, parking and WiFi. The room was great, nice spacious living area, great sized bedroom (which is separate), lots of drawers and closet for the clothes.
The complimenty breakfast is decent. They offer a couple hot items, which rotate, make your own waffles, whole fruit, breads/​muffins, oatmeal, 3 different cereals, granola parfait and juice /​milk.
I will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

This was a really nice hotel near LEGOLAND. They have a manager’s dinner and drinks (yup, alcohol is free). I did not like the dinner but my wife and kids did, a pulled pork that I thought was runny. The breakfast was very nice and very clean. A good selection. Our room was clean. Winner-​winner!

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. One of the finest family oriented hotels I have been to. Really catering to families needs. Wanted to stay on the top floor away from all the noise. Yes there are kids running around, but mostly maintained. Very clean hotel which is very important especially now a days. Fully loaded with a large fridge, freezer, microwave, dish washer and stove. They provided real plates, utensils, cutlery, coffee/​tea maker, popcorn to pop, cookware. Everyday the maid would wash our dirty dishes in the sink. The rooms are spacious ours in particular had a separate living room area with pullout sofa bed. The dining area had a nice table for 4. Separate sink & vanity area from the shower/​bath & toilet. Flat screen T.V.s in the bedroom & living room. Mon-​Thurs the hotel offers free hot dinners. I mean it wasn’t the best thing in the world close to being whatever. but the menu does change & its buffet style. Loved the hot breakfast included with our stay as well with kids this is a major plus. Hot coffee & Teas always downstairs with your choice of gourmet teas & decent tasting coffee.
Free shuttle to Legoland close by or into town where all the shopping and fun is if you don’t feel like driving. In my book any great hotel offering free parking & WiFi is always a go & referable in my book. Only downside was our a/​c was freezing the room or making it unbreathabley warm & took 3 times for maintenance to come & go & try to fix the unit. So 1 minus star for that.

This hotel was great for our recent Legoland trip, being a mere two miles from the park.
Arriving on a Saturday night, check-​in was a breeze and the front desk person was extremely friendly. I had a choice of floors, so I went with the third (top) floor to hopefully minimize noise. I’m not sure if it would have mattered because the whole place seems fairly quiet.
We had a suite with two queen beds. It’s tough to top the spacious place we had the previous week at Lake Las Vegas, but Homewood Suites is still nice. The kitchen has a full size fridge, electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, and most of what you might need (just missing a kettle). We had three adults and a toddler, plus an extra adult for one night, so having the dual queen beds plus the sofa bed in the living room was handy. The sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but what sofa bed is? I slept well enough on it for a night.
Breakfast during each of our three mornings was decent. It’s about on par with other hotels. The dining area is quite large to match the size of the hotel. As usual, I enjoyed the waffle machines the most, especially with the strawberry batter (only the first morning) and the strawberries and whipped cream toppings.
Weekday evenings provide a Manager’s Reception complete with beer kegs. Score! Again, the food was just decent but since this isn’t something you usually get, I’m not complaining. The beer selection on our lone weeknight was Stone Pale Ale, ACE Pumpkin Cider, and Bud Light. Two out of three isn’t bad.
As with check-​in, leaving was just as easy. I woke up the final morning with a copy of the bill slid under the door. All we had to do was leave the keys in the room and we were out! Now that’s service.
Speaking of service, I want to give props to housekeeping. One night, let’s just say the toddler had a bit too much fluid. We removed all of the bedding in the morning. Not only did we return to a perfectly made room, the employee didn’t even take the tip we left. It wasn’t that much, but perhaps they thought it was an unusually large amount?
The only thing I wasn’t sure about was the wifi. The sign-​in process seemed to imply that you only get one user per room. No big deal because only one of us really needed it and I had pretty good data service.
Anyway, we had a great stay. I would definitely return.
