I was referred to Jenni through a coworker and I can definitely say she is one of the best! I am so thankful to have met her as well as her lovely counterpart Alissa. The whole experience was amazing. Jenni happily worked with my budget and was so sweet and understanding about it. She has an a great eye for color and being a blonde it’s hard to find someone who can get you to the shade of blonde that you like. She explained the whole process and made sure I was comfortable through out the whole treatment. She’s so knowledgable and has such a big heart! You can truly see how passionate she is about what she does. It’s so warming to find someone who comes to work with a focus to make a change in the world and community and isn’t just about the money. Not only did she do a fantastic job but she also told me to come back if there’s anything I wanted changed or touched up and she would do it for FREE. No salon I’ve ever been to has offered that. Jenni!!! She is the absolute BEST. I have never been more satisfied with my hair or customer service. She is the sweetest gal you’ll meet! Not to mention she is amazing with hair and BLONDES! This is hard to find. I recommend her to all my friends and family! And she WILL be doing my wedding hair and make up (in the future, whenever that happens, a girl can dream, right?) love her! Love my hair!

First of all, every single one of the Head for Change ladies is absolutely genuine, talented, friendly, and welcoming. They have the best hearts and their talent is simply a reflection of that.
Alissa Vallee did my hair extensions for my wedding. They were absolutely perfect and I got SO many compliments from them. My hair was already long but she made it longer and more full with so much body! She is so incredibly talented and will make your hair look so natural and beautiful.
Jenni Lorenz does my hair, cut, and coloring and she is so incredibly talented. I see her every six weeks for a conditioning and cut and every few months for color. Just show her a picture of what you want and she can do it! Or if you’re not sure, she will give you so many ideas of what she thinks. She always welcomes me with a smile and makes me feel so relaxed. Every time I leave, I have a full heart and a beautiful head of hair thanks to Head for Change.

I highly recommend Alyssa for any hair treatment. Even when you feel like going for extreme changes, such as blue or pink, she stays calm and humors me. She always figures out how to make my visions come to life. Plus if doesn’t hurt that she is an incredibly caring and sweet human being.

Alissa Vallee is one of a kind. Simply the best! She’s excellent at what she does, but she really makes you feel welcome and at home from the minute you walk in to when you leave. You’ll look amazing and everyone will comment on how awesome your hair looks. Like seriously, she knows how to make your every hair dream come to life.
She recently did my extensions for my wedding, and I’m SO obsessed with them I still have them in… that was 4 months ago. I wanted to feel my most confident and beautiful on my wedding day, and she helped deliver with mermaid locks!

Natalie is by far my favourite stylist in the entire world! I’ve been going to her for years now and her cuts are always perfect. Even over time after a good cut from her, the style just keeps getting better! She is personable, professional and SO cheerful. I love this cute new salon, too and trust her with my hair completely. Can’t say enough good things. Her up dos are also spectacular. I had her do my hair for an event a while back and it was exactly how I envisioned it. Thanks Natalie!

I have been thinking about getting my hair done for months and have been completely scared to bite the bullet. Well, then I came to Head For Change. Upon walking in I was greeted in a way that made me feel like family, truly!
I started explaining what I was thinking and my lovely hair stylist immediately understood and said «Let’s do it!». I was so excited for a change. And then afterwards I looked in the mirror, and was even more excited.
The color was exactly what I was looking for and made me feel pretty again. Oh the power of a good hair stylist. You can bet that I will be back again.

A couple of weeks ago I got the most devastating phone call from my hair salon — they told me that my girl — Natalie — no longer worked there. I was so distraught I couldn’t focus for 2 hours, until I found her and got a hold of her (Yes, I totally stalked her online)! Long story short, she’s now in her own salon with Jenni, also formerly of KCS and still in Carlsbad. Thank GOODNESS! I don’t have to start all over after finding a new stylist (this girl is the stylist of my dreams) I just have to drive to a new location — I can handle that!
I just got back from my first visit at the new set up and I couldn’t be happier — and honestly — it’s so much better than before. First of all the place is super cute, comfortable, not overly feminine or masculine but just perfectly designed — sleek and simple without being cold. (Sorry I totally spaced taking pics!) The atmosphere is much more relaxed and comfortable than KCS and you get the awesome one on one time with your stylist that (at least us girls crave). Natalie and Jenni are even glowing; you can tell that their new space is a much better fit. We laughed, we cried, and I left with the most amazing hair (as always) courtesy of Natalie. Jenni is also a rockstar — she’s never done my hair but I would absolutely trust her with mine or anyone else I know too! They’re also bringing a third stylist into the business in the next week or so — so there are plenty of awesome stylists to go around!
They’re still in the early stages of the business but you’d never know it walking in there and being made beautiful (or handsome) because of course, they brought their years of training and expertise with them. I’m SO happy and relieved and just on Cloud 9 that I didn’t lose my stylist and that they’re both doing so well! They also mentioned that at the end of every month they donate a portion of the profits to various charities. Big hearts and no shortage of talent — I’m telling you it’s all here.
If you’re still seeking the perfect cut, color, and style consistently you need to come support these ladies at their new salon! I’ve been seeing Natalie one month shy of two years now and I’ve NEVER once left disappointed — just with an extra bounce in step (and hair)!
Just as an FYI they are located in the Sola Salons building! When you walk in go to the right and they’re right there in the corner — they got a prime location with two giant windows!
