History

Established in 2009.

After years of performing nationally and internationally, and recording in studios from California to Nashville, vocal veteran, Shelli Frances formed her band Firefly in January of 2009. Ms. Frances noticed that MOST of the area bands were playing almost the same repertoire of tired dance tunes. She wanted to create something unique with a more rockin’ but still dance-​able song list. From a relaxed low key acoustic vibe, to a full on energized concert feel, Firefly’s balance of both classic and newer songs, performed with their own flair, adds just the right musical atmosphere to any event, and for all ages. Never one to settle for less than excellence, she enlisted a group of creative, experienced road traveled studio pros to bring the highest level of musicianship to «Firefly». Business Owner

Seasoned music professional, Shelli Frances is the owner/​manager of Firefly. As a young musician in Central California, Shelli’s influences were mostly rock, pop, & country. Over the years she expanded her musical tastes and vocal range and ventured into R & B, some jazz & blues, disco & dance music and cultivated a reputation of being one of the most versatile female vocalists, both onstage and in the recording studio, in the San Diego area and beyond, performing nationally and internationally. Shelli has recorded in various California studios, in Nashville at Curb Studios, and has performed in most of the major San Diego area hotels and casino show rooms, convention venues and nightclubs.
