Dominique is a professional photographer based in Carlsbad California who has been creating captivating images for over 15 years. Growing up in Hawaii he appreciates beauty and strives to capture these special moments. Choosing Dom to be our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made. We absolutely loved how all of our photos turned out & are very thankful an engagement shoot was included. Not only were our e-​pics incredible, but it really gave us a chance to get comfortable in front of a camera. I’m constantly receiving compliments on how great of a job Dom did at creatively capturing our entire wedding. And our photos are soo unique! I think it’s a pretty good ratio when 2,000 out of 4,500 photos are frame-​worthy. We’ve since used Dom for family photos & have recommended him to many friends. Overall, we have been very impressed with the quality of service, professionalism, flexibility, and especially the creativity of Dominique Labrecque Photography. Highly, highly recommended.

Update: Dom has been nothing shy of amazing. Him and his girlfriend Lauren helped me capture one of the most special moments in my life and gave me some pictures my now Husband and I will remember forever. I found Dom through Unilocal and contacted him regarding taking photos at my Husband’s homecoming from deployment. He was so flexible and easy to schedule with and was very responsive. I feel he is reasonably priced considering deployments are so uncertain. He charged me $ 300 for around 6 – 8 hours of his and his gf Lauren’s time and provided me with digitial files of our photos (around 150 – 300 photos or so, can’t remember exactly). The photos were high quality and he and Lauren were very warm, professional and made me feel very comfortable. We recently got engaged, and married and I contacted him again to capture our small special day at the courthouse. We’re planning on doing a bigger wedding soon and will definitely use him again. Same price and easily as many photos. Such a great deal. I’m very happy I met Dom and his GF Lauren. They are quite the duo and I can promise you without a doubt he can capture moments you never want to forget. I’ll cherish these photos for the rest of my life! Thanks Dom & Lauren, you Rock!

I found Dominique through thumbtack. I was looking for professional head shots to use on a website of a company I just joined. The website was not of the highest quality and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on generic photos. His rates attracted me at first but the end product was more than I ever hoped for. I have never had portrait photographs done before and I was a little uncomfortable with the process. However Dom, made me feel so at ease and we had a lot of laughs during the session and that relaxed atmosphere definitely helped with the end product. The photos came out very well and were a big hit with my new boss. I want him to shoot my daughters wedding but he is already booked! He is a talented photographer and super professional — I would definitely recommend him!

We are really happy we had Dominique as our wedding photographer. He was really easy to work with, both relaxed and professional at the same time! We have so many great photos — now the only thing is parsing them down — but the situation of having so many excellent photos is a good one to be in, of course :)
We also did an engagement shoot with Dom and he ran our photobooth. The photobooth was a hit. I didn’t realize how much guests, young and old, would love the photobooth– we are really glad we took Dom’s recommendation about having it!
I also really love the getting ready photos I had with my bridesmaids– and Dom was flexible as the time table and location for all this came together.
If you want a wedding photographer who is both professional and relaxed, go with Dom! A relaxed photographer is definitely a must to keep the groom and groomsmen happy and calm, I think :)

Thanks to Dom for coming through with flying colors — big pressure when I told him this photo shoot must produce killer pics for the 2014 family Christmas card :) We found him through Groupon but he was willing to work specifically with me and upgrade our package so that I may «own» our pictures electronically after the shoot. If you’ve ever worked with a private photographer, you may learn the hard way that it is not always the case… some charge $ 500 plus to have the DVD or digital downloads of YOUR pics! Big bummer! In this case, Dom not only worked with our schedule, our location but came well prepared for amazing beach sunset pics as well as his own lighting for beautiful pics once the sun went down. We are thrilled with the results, our families far away love them — sometimes pictures are all we have when miles separate us! These are ones to be proud of and grateful for! Thanks for rocking our family Christmas card and pics that I ordered for our families and have now decorated our own living room walls :) Namaste to this genuine photographer, yogi, surfer, artist and kind friend!

We chose Dominique as the photographer for our 10th wedding anniversary. So happy with our selection! He was able to recommend a perfect beach site for the shoot. We were hoping for some ideas beyond the basic Stand-​on-​the-​beach-​and-​smile photos, and he did not disappoint… interesting camera angles, cool pose suggestions, and a wonderful ability to put us at ease.
After contacting around a dozen «photographers» who advertised via Groupons, Dom truly stood out above the rest as a serious professional. He answered all of my questions in a timely and informative manner. Even better, after the shoot, we were able to view our photos so quickly!
I hope to have the pleasure of working with him again for future anniversaries!

We have family photos taken at my parent’s house about an hour from Carlsbad. Dom and Sara came out that distance, without a travel fee, and worked with our family for over an hour. They were very easy to work with and were able to get in all the different combinations of pictures that we wanted as we tried to get them all in the last good light! I would highly recommend them.
Oh — and we ended up with beautiful and memorable pictures that captured the personality of our family!

I have used Dominique Labrecque photography on several occasions and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing photographer. I have used Dominique for corporate headshots, fashion/​modeling shoots and event coverage and have found him to be extremely professional, prompt, creative and intuitive. Dominique shot my wedding in December and he was able to give me exactly the look I was hoping for! He is a master at finding the perfect lighting and he knows how to pose his subjects to get just the right photo. I have also hired Dominique for photo booths at my own wedding and several charity events that I have been a part of. He will also be doing my child’s headshots soon. His action sports and water photos are mind blowing as well! If you are looking for an amazing photographer who is super creative, look no further, call Dom!
