Description

Specialties

Christ Presbyterian Church is a place for grace in the midst of a chaotic and often impersonal world. If you are looking for something more in life, searching for a spiritual home, or wanting to make a difference in your world, we invite you to come to CPC. Check us out on a Sunday morning, when worship is at 9:00 (contemporary) and 11:00 a.m. (traditional), with Sunday School for all ages at 10:10 a.m.

We are slightly hard to find on the La Costa (south) side of Carlsbad, a quick drive from Encinitas, San Marcos and Vista. We are people of all ages and stages, seeking to find a home in Christ, build a life of faith, and make a difference in the world.

Christ Presbyterian Church is a place where…

…the truths of a 2000 year old faith address a 21st century world

…faith is not a one-time decision, but a lifelong journey

…theology is not rigidly applied but openly discovered

…questions are welcome as part of a faith that is real

…children are cherished and encouraged in faith and life

…prayer and care unite as we help each other along the way

…people find friends and a spiritual family

…we sometimes do mission with our dollars, sometimes with our hands, but always with our hearts.

Christ Presbyterian Church offers a weekday preschool open to the community, an interfaith outreach with our Jewish and Muslim friends, and a community garden opening in the spring. CPC is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA). We’ll be glad to see you anytime!

Meet the Manager

Greg B.

Manager

Pastor Greg Bostrom arrived at CPC in 2014 after serving a Presbyterian Church in Grayslake, Illinois for 23 years as co-pastor with his wife Kathy. She has now retired from active pastoral ministry to focus on her career as an award-winning children’s author, leaving the preaching to Greg. Their three adult children live in Los Angeles, each pursuing a career in the film business.

Greg grew up in Indiana and Illinois. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois (economics), Princeton Seminary (New Jersey) and McCormick Seminary (Chicago), where he received his Doctor of Ministry degree in 1998. Greg plays a lot of soccer and a little basketball, enjoys the great outdoors, follows baseball and college hoops (the Fighting Illini, of course) and loves watching kids grow up – his own and everyone else’s. In another life he might have been a whitewater rafting guide or high school basketball coach, but most of the time he wouldn’t trade professions with anyone.
