With today’s enhancements Audio Video San Diego is able to provide a full line of services from professional installation, home theater design, home automation, and surveillance systems. We work directly with home-​owners as well as architects, builders and designers.

History

Established in 2010.

I have personally been serving San Diego County for the past 18 years starting with Circuit City and then Tweeter. In 2010 I started my own company, CAVElectronics and in 2013 changed the name to Audio Video San Diego to better describe our services.

We look forward to serving you and San Diego for many years to come.

I started in the electronic industry back in 1996 working for Sony on the assembly line. In 1999 I went on to work for Circuit City and quickly advanced through the ranks into management. Being a top earner — in 2001 I was recruited by Tweeter Electronics. I earned the distinction of becoming the company’s first Operation Manager. I then moved to Las Vegas as the Store Manager. I still have many customers I take care of in Las Vegas. After Tweeter closed in 2009 I started open my own company. I am proud to serve the San Diego area and to have made many great friends of my customers along the way.

After going through a list of audio specialist, David and his team were able to complete a project I’ve been working on for 3 months. Very knowledgable, professional, friendly and they were able to complete the job in a timely manner. My back yard looks, sounds amazing! My husband is so happy with his surprise! We have had David perform work in our home on two separate occasions and have recommended him to several friends and family members.
He recommended and installed in-​wall speakers in our family room, including running all of the cabling in the walls and ceiling. He has also recommended, installed, and mounted three flat-​screen TVs for us. Most recently, we asked him to run network (ethernet) cables to every room in our home, including a few new electrical outlets. The work was done quickly, efficiently, accurately and neatly. Dave has an excellent drywall repair & painter that he recommends, so the minimal drywall repairs were completed quickly and flawlessly.
His equipment recommendations and work are outstanding and will definitely keep us coming back to Dave for all of our AV needs.

I can’t say enough about our experience with Audio Video San Diego… Our home came with an 8 year old Bose System, completely pre-​wired for 5 additional rooms and courtyard. We were considering going with the Bose system until Dave introduced the Sonos system and provided a cost difference between the systems… The cost was negligible, but the Sonos platform and user interface was something that we would will never get with a Bose system. Dave walk us through our options and itemized every component cost as needed. His pricing is transparent and his labor is more than fair… He’s extremely hands on and his and Jason’s attention to every detail is incredible… You can always find someone cheaper, but you won’t find another company more professional… Thanks Dave and Jason for a job well done!

I had the chance recently to visit the Audio Video San Diego showroom in Carlsbad and WOW! It was absolutely amazing. I have met the owner David T. and can honestly say he is a great guy with a passion for what he does. I can’t wait to have David and AVSD set up a home theatre at my house (now I just need to figure out where to put it… we don’t really n-​e-​e-​d a master bedroom do we… hmm…)

All i have to say i WOW! David is a great guy to work with, and he shows how much he loves his work by his comforting attitude towards his customers. his display shows everything that any homeowner needs to upgrade their house. From tvs that are in the mirrors to TV’s with speakers that look like décor to couches with outlets in them, this place is definitely a display of the future. And you dont feel overwhelmed like if you were to go to a best buy.

I’ve used David for two projects in my home. The first was to design and install a home theater system with speakers throughout the house, including the outdoor patio. I was very impressed with David’s technical skills and ability to troubleshoot solutions. I was also impressed by David’s knowledge of the equipment and his recommendations for high quality components within our budget. The second project was the installation of security cameras and the related DVR (the fact that I used David for a second project speaks volumes about my satisfaction with his work). One last thing– David promptly returns phone calls and checks his emails regularly. I’ve had a few «how do I do this» questions after both projects were completed and I’ve been blown away by David’s quick responses.

David at Audio Video has been an ALL STAR in installation and technical support. I just got back from a trip and my whole system was down and he helped me on the phone trouble shoot the problem. We have worked with other companies who are only interested in installation, but not supporting the customer after the install. We would highly recommend David and his team!

David had installed and programmed our Denon Home Theater system a couple of years ago. I went back to Pac Sales to get some outdoor speakers for the patio, and wanted them integrated with the HTS. They again recommended Dave’s company. It was a tricky installation and program since my receiver is a few years old but they did a great job and it works well for TV, Pandora, FM Radio – you name it, and with a separate external volume control.
Recently the sound during TV broadcasts quit working. Tried numerous ways to fix/​reprogram it, finally called Dave. He was able to pull up my receiver and remote on line, WAHHLAA in 5 minutes he had me reprogram the remote and fix the «Multichannel Stereo» I wrote it down in case it happens again! :) Highly recommend these guys!

I got David’s name from one of the sale reps at Pacific Sales. I wasn’t expecting that much, but I was pleasantly surprised. David was outstanding in his professional promptness to calling me back, setting up an appointment, and giving me a quick estimate on my wiring needs. He did the wiring in one outing and I’m in the process of utilizing his expertise in picking out speakers, TV, and other components. Not only did he recommend the right equipment to match our style, the sound and budget, but also secured the equipment and did a top notch installation! Nothing is easy and David brought a great deal of knowledge and experience that was greatly appreciated! I’ve known David for a number of years. He has come to my house on at least three occasions. The first time was to set up and connect the components to create my home A/​V system. I remember that visit well, because he used phrases like «this model costs too much» and «you don’t need that — try this one instead». In other words, he doesn’t try to «upsell».
He came earlier this week to hook-​up a new Roku and look at my Logitech all-​in-​one remote. Once again, he saved me money, because he told me that my all-​in-​one was fine; why spend money to change it out?
David will always be my «go to» guy for A/​V work. You don’t need to have fancy, La Jolla-​style, equipment. David works within your budget, and he fixes things promptly, and with a minimum of fuss.

The world of Audio/​Video is complicated, and setting up the best possible Home Theater is challenging. I had a great experience with Dave. Awesome service, follow up and response. The guy who set up my system a year ago had done amazingly sloppy work and I could never get my home sound system to work right after several visits and lots of extra charges. I called AVSD to see if someone could take a look at the system since I had already purchased all the equipment I needed. Dave came over, made a few tweaks, cleaned up a really sloppy installation and got me up and running in no time. He didn’t try and oversell me on anything but did suggest a universal remote which I did purchase and boy am I glad I did! He also told me about Sonos, which I had seen at Best Buy but didn’t really understand how it worked. Long story short, after two short visits with a fair price, I am up and running and couldn’t be happier with great sound on my TV and throughout my house. His business demeanor couldn’t be better with a nice thank you e-​mail that asked for any recommendations for service levels AND what really impressed me was that Dave actually followed up with me a couple of times when I didn’t immediately call him back when we were trading calls regarding a question I had. If I ran a company, this is exactly the way I would run it!

I have worked with David since the days he was at Tweeter. He was professional enough to contact his customers when the business went under and offered to honor any in service warranty on the products he sold under Tweeter. I’ve stayed with him when he started CAVElectronics with another existing business that was dedicated to computers. But his focus and expertise has always been with audio and video and his commitment to his customers is what is most admirable. His word is solid and he always follows through. So with his new company Audio Video San Diego — it’s all his and you get David 100%.
I had a terrific in-​door Polk Audio system I purchased from him 9 years ago, but I wanted to be able to expand to other rooms and outdoors with more than just the typical outdoor speaker ‘rocks’. What he designed and set up for me so far exceeds my expectations in terms of aesthetics and sound that I am blown away. He not only takes your budget into account, but how you want to use the system at the moment, and he is able to project how you can use it in the future. (If only CalTrans could do the same!) He takes the time to ‘work with you’ and be your personal expert. When I ran into trouble — due to my ignorance — he came out to teach me — again — how to use the system and was professional, patient and personable. I never felt dumb for not understanding.
David is the old fashion ‘customer service oriented’ professional that we rarely see anymore. His stands behind his product and more importantly, his service. I would highly recommend David Troisi and Audio Video San Diego to anyone considering a new system, revamping a current system, adding on, new building pre-​wire or simply making an existing system better. Because his bottom line is customer satisfaction, he is a true find worth his weight in gold.

Dave is super friendly, patient, and diligent. He installed an amazing living room setup for me last year. I set a budget and he found the perfect pieces to fit it. A few months later I was having trouble with a subwoofer wireless receiver. He came out, had it returned to the manufacturer, and worked through the six month process it took to get a replacement. Almost a year later I have a new wireless receiver and my living room is complete. All the additional support came at no additional charge.

Dave is the most patient and detailed consumer electronics professional I have met. He is very thorough in his work and his explanation of how your entertainment system will work when he has finished the installation. He also gave me great tips on how to enjoy my entertainment center even more. I would recommend CAVElectronics for all people purchasing new consumer electronics just so they can more easily learn the new features and functions to derive the most from their purchase.
