Established in 1991.

Al & Barbara moved to beautiful Carlsbad from Hawaii. They opened Al’s Café in the Village in 1991, and wanted to bring the Aloha Spirit to Carlsbad.

Carlsbad resident since 1991. Seasoned food service professional. Background includes airline catering, restaurants, country clubs and bakeries. Happily married to Barbara with 2 children and grandchildren. Dedicated to customer service and community service. A 20 year Rotarian, club Past President, and Rotarian of the Year twice.
