My son has been training here at AK Martial Arts & Fitness for close to five years now and loves it! He has made a lot of really good friends and enjoys not only the training but the activities, international tournaments and black belt events.

We have belonged for 2 years, and we love this gym! My son is always excited to go to class, and after one month asked to go twice a week rather than just once. I love the lessons that are taught in class in addition to the physical activity. So happy we joined!

Great instruction for kids and adults! My son is loving his new class, it is fun for him but he is also learning self control and confidence. The studio is great, we found them thru donating to our school. They really do a lot in the community. I noticed they are on Groupon sometimes :)

We are with Ak Martial Arts since the past 7 years. My son is currently a Black Belt. He loves doing karate so much and plans to continue further.
It is the BEST place to train in Martial Arts. We’ve always had such a wonderful experience .My son has participated in various International and in-​house Tournaments .
The studio has such a warm, inviting and family atmosphere .Each and every instructor is excellent –the right balance of discipline, kindness fun and learning .Kids from all age groups will benefit by training .Not only does it boosts their confidence, physical fitness and mental strength it even helps them to perform better at school. If you are looking for a karate studio for your child this is the place to go –Highly recommend !!!

Awesome place. We send our five year old boy here and the instructors have just the right balance of discipline and patience for kids this age. Very friendly and positive atmosphere all around.

We. came for my nieces birthday and this place porvided excellent activities for all ages! It a. plus since even. the adults in our family are kids.

I started going to this studio almost a month ago to try an evening workout class for adults and I LOVE IT! It is a mixed weights and cardio class at 8pm at night. The instructor Jenny is very friendly and supportive. I am not a fitness pro and she is always showing a low impact version as well as a more challenging version of the exercise. There is a great supportive moral among the people in this class for everyone to succeed. I love this place so much that I introduced my 3 year old to the karate classes that they have here too and he is having so much fun. Prices are reasonable and for the adult fitness classes you can just drop in and pay or buy several in advance.

Great school! My daughter (8 yrs) loves it. They’re great with kids. My husband is now also training there and he also really likes it. We love taking part of the Parent Night Out events which the proceeds go to different schools, including our elementary school. I highly recommend this school.

AK Martial Arts & Fitness is the best studio you will ever find! No need to look elsewhere. No contracts. No ego. The owners & instructors are respectful, kind, loving and FUN! This is serious martial arts made FUN! My daughter has been with AK for more than 4 years now and she LOVES it! This place really is «Woohoo! Great karate place! I have trained with them for 4 years. They moved to a bigger gym not to long ago, it’s huge! The instructors are extremely kind and giving. If you want to take karate this is the place to go!

Excellent martial arts school. Good for kids, good for adults, good for most anyone to try.
Highpoints:
The studio is large enough to accommodate many students or give each student plenty of room for moving.
The instructor staff is dedicated, competent, serious (but capable of humor!) and approachable.
There are many materials available for class, such as balance beam, jelly pads, medicine balls, etc.
The student body has a good work ethic and a sense of community.
People I recommend try traditional Tang Soo Do at AK Martial Arts & Fitness:
Any well-​formed child from 3 years on up. Yes, 3. You would be amazed at the lessons they can learn and the fun they can have!
Any adult looking for a different kind of workout. You will use different muscles and coordination than you use in any other athletic endeavor, so if you are looking for a cross-​training activity or just something to keep you from getting bored with treadmills, this is great!
Any adult serious about self-​defense. Honestly, that should be all of us. You won’t be able to take on a legion of bad guys just because you studied martial arts for 6 months, but you will be able to give one attacker way more trouble than he bargained for. Some of the training exercises practice defense against 4 simultaneous attackers! I hope I never need that, but at least I’ve practiced it a few times now.
I started training at AK because my kids were doing it. Now we all have an activity we can talk about together, something we do together, and something healthy to do at least a couple times per week. I’m stronger, have better posture and am generally more relaxed, plus I’ve discovered I actually enjoy sparring. I never would have expected that.
The owners of this studio put their hearts and souls into the place, and it shows. It is a very positive environment, and I cannot recommend it more highly.

Okay, this may be a bit pre-​mature. I just bought deal thru my kids school from
since I was looking for something new for my daughter to try out. I’m just excited to find out about a place close to our house that is so generous with our local school! Can’t wait to get my daughter started.

AK Martial Arts and Fitness is the best karate school on the planet. The instructors are really nice and helpful. They took me through my belts from a complete novice to now having a shot at getting my black (blue) belt. They help keep me focused and alert in class. The school also provides lots of community events as well as parties for students and families which are lots of fun. There is a great sense of family at the do jong and I would encourage anyone thinking about training in martial arts to check out AK Martial Arts. You will see the difference immediately!
