History

Established in 1994.

Although we have been DJ’ing in San Diego since 1992, Advanced Entertainment was officially established in 1994. Since then, we have dedicated over 15 years to helping couplles have the most memorable wedding for them and their guest.

I started DJ’ing in 1992 as a Navy Corpsman in San Diego. My friends had a party every Friday and Saturday night and it wasn’t long before I found my place in the role of entertaining the crowd with music.

In 1993, I attended a wedding where a cheesy DJ did the worst job possible and I just KNEW I could do it better. I actually went to work for this DJ for about 3 months to learn «what NOT to do» and began my own company shortly thereafter.

I am now one of the most visible DJ’s in the wedding community as I actively participate in many professional wedding associations and have established myself as a leading in the wedding industry.

Steve is a horrible person to work with. I saw that he does DJ’ing and I hope to warn people that this man is horrible. We tried to do business with him and when he screwed up, he wouldn’t take responsibility for his actions… instead he wanted to blame all of the employees!
His review that he left on the business used fowl language and had been flagged and removed… so he had Hasty K. leave the same review… He also had her leave a review on his page!
Steve, you should try to talk to us before you jump the gun and try to defame our name

I have had Steve DJ many events for my friends, family, and myself. He does everything from weddings, to bar-​mitzvahs, to birthday parties, to Christmas parties, to high school dances, to night clubs, etc. Anything type of event that would need music, he does.
He is always willing to work with my special requests and needs. Never have a hard time getting on contact with him. He is very prompt with returning calls if I do miss him.
He does so much more than DJING though. He makes recommendations, helps you plan whatever your event may be, at no cost at all. He has over 20 years of experiences and every event he has helped host with me, has been a hit!
There have been a few times he personally was unable to work an event so he would send out one of his guys, and they always did a phenomenal job.
Keep up the good work Steve and the gang!

These guys are AMAZING. My husband and I got married on 11−11−11 and we paid for the majority of the wedding ourselves. We don’t make a lot of money and had to cut back on a lot of the things we had originally wanted for our wedding. Steve was so amazing through the whole process and gave us so many amazing tips on everything!
My husband and I ended up over drafting our wedding bank account and Steve did not get paid, a week after our honeymoon we found out about the funds. We spoke with Steve and he was so sweet about it. He never made us feel guilty about it and was so wonderful about helping us figure out a payment. He even went as far as driving over an hour out of his way to pick up the funds so we didn’t have to pay gas out of our pocket.
Steve was so helpful during the entire planning and made us feel more important than just a «paying client». He was easy to get a hold of when we had questions. Everyone at our wedding still talks about how great the music was and how nice our DJ, Steve was. Steve also did our lights which look amazing in all of the photos! I highly recommend this company and plan on using them in the future! :)

I have to say, though a little pricey– I have been getting nothing but compliments on the music (and DJ) we had at our wedding last weekend. Our DJ Rob «Martini» was So accommodating. When I emailed him with a concern, he called me back immediately. For all the stress of a wedding, Rob was one vendor I was 100% confident in, and I can’t say how much I appreciated all his help. This was a Vietnamese/​White mixed reception. He even supplied our Vietnamese music. I can’t remember much, but doing a lot of dancing and getting a lot of compliments the following week of the reception. Thank you!!!
