The absolutely worst catered meal for an event in my life! Super soggy breaded chicken stuffed with even soggier flavorless stuffing, soggy frozen green beans, stale bread rolls, roasted potatoes that looked and tasted as if done days before. Terrible.

I work right around the corner and Wenger’s was recommended to me by multiple coworkers. I’ve had the BLT and the Rueben(both were phenomenal) and I plan on trying everything! Such a nice place!

Neat place. Just went for the first time and tried the ham and tuna salad. Both are great. Also got a cup of the seafood bisque in the refrigerator case. Lots of seafood in it but has a definite strange taste. Can’t figure out quite what it is but almost tastes like chemicals. Everyone was very friendly. Didn’t try the salad bar, it looked a little up impressive but we will definitely be back to try some of their deli sandwiches. Very reasonable prices!

Best broccoli salad fresh veggies and nice chunks of cheese. Coleslaw is my favorite actually shredded long strands not food processed.

I’ve lived in Carlisle for about two years and have been slowly sampling the local eats. We have plenty of choices for fried chicken, from chains, to grocery stores, to local joints. After checking out their menu online, I stopped by Wenger’s Deli for an 8-piece bucket of fried chicken. The woman working the hot food area told me it’d take 15 minutes, so I ran some errands and got back right in time to see them packing up my food. Took it home, which was a two minute drive, and sat down, ready to enjoy some local fried chicken. Boy did it suck. The frying oil must not have been at the right tempeture, because the skin on half the pieces was mushy and SOAKED in oil. I kept eating, because I love fried chicken, and it never got any better. I lifted the bucket at one point and the bottom broke, soaked in oil, spilling the chicken onto a chair. This should never happen. Disgusted, I tore the rest of the chicken apart to feed to my three greyhounds and watched in amazement as oil flowed out of some pieces. Never have I ate such terrible chicken. Maybe this was an off day for the Deli, but it doesn’t matter, I’m never returning. Stick with Stamm’s on High Street, or even Weis or the Giant.

Great little Deli/Meat place. Came here to get some salsa and ended up buying a few dishes of other things, Macaroni salad, some cheese, some ham. Everything was tasty and was decently priced. Not bad for a small shop in an our of the way spot.

On the hunt for something to grill for the folks coming into town this weekend got us to Wengers. Not a huge selection but the case was being prepped for the weekend. Told us to come back. Fresh cut steaks and chops. Lots of homemade/hand jarred salsa and jams. You can get a sandwich or hot dog or wings for lunch. Drinks, candy and sweets. A few tables and chairs to park yourself. They also had a hot dog stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon. Yes, you heard me right. Mike asked if they came with a side of Lipitor. We did land some homemade deviled eggs and some awesome potato salad. Worth the trip.
