Releaf Spa

Went in for a wax after searching on Unilocal for a Brazilian and Reyna did a great job. The whole experience was professional and relaxing. Love their no «double dipping» waxing policy and excellent skills. Would definitely recommend Releaf to others!

I love ReLeaf. If you haven’t been you have to check them out. I see Reyna to get my brows waxed and dyed. She does such a great job. I recently tried the dermaplaning and my face has never felt smoother.

From the minute you walk in the door you are treated amazingly! The spa is beautiful and the two facial treatments I’ve received were incredible. My skin has never felt so refreshed!

I will start by saying that my 90 minute facial with Reyna was wonderful. I was sad when it was over. I had corresponded with her previous to my appointment because I really wanted to experience a facial with ilike, which is one of the lines that they carry. It definitely did not disappoint.
Driving into Cardiff is a little different from the roads I am used to; two-​lane road going down hill stopping at stop signs and going over bumps. The road that Releaf Spa resides on was moderately busy on a Tuesday afternoon. There were quite a few semi trucks that drove down the street so it was a bit noisy, though only in the reception area, thankfully. The building it resides in is a little funky, I first thought it was apartments. Not the most attractive building. There were a few other beauty salons next store. It was easy to find parking, but there isn’t a very large «designated» parking area. ³⁄₅
As I entered I was hit with the green tea ice cream colored walls behind the reception desk and left wall. A very vibrant green very similar to the green in their logo, it makes sense. But what I found to be odd is the right wall is a cold almost charcoal grey color. I feel like the space could bring those two colors together better with different furniture etc. right now it feels a little disjointed to me. The retail could also use some unifying, it’s all over the place and doesn’t inspire you to look at it or pick it up. However the branch beveled mirror and glass terrariums hanging in the window are awesome and completely go with the more modern eco spa look I feel like they are going for. ³⁄₅
The room I entered was the furthest from the entrance. It was all green tea, which was nice. It was a hodge-​podge of styles, not all of which went together and weren’t quite different enough to be eclectic. What stood out most to me was the contrasting coverlet of vine-​y leaves that was black and what looked like cream. It reminds me of the Releaf logo. I think it would be really nice if that became the theme of the treatment rooms. I was also partial to the damask chair and chandelier. The one thing I would definitely discard are the flameless candles. In a room with a dimmed overhead light, which the chandelier was, flameless candles just aren’t very noticeable. I’d suggest ditching them, turning off the chandelier or using real candles. 3.5÷5.0
Now to the person interaction!
When I walked in Reyna immediately introduced herself and asked me if I would like anything to drink. I happily accepted and she returned with some cold water in a small ball jar, very cute! I was also happily surprised to find that it had lemon juice squeezed into it, very refreshing and lovely. She led me back to the room and asked me a few questions, «have you had a facial before», «what I was looking for in my facial today» etc… She instructed me what to do and left the room. I quickly readied myself and got under the covers. I got pretty warm very fast but I am a cold normally and it was pleasant. When she came back she did a quick skin analysis, I purposefully wore no makeup to make this easier. Then we got to the good stuff. Reyna has a wonderful, firm and comforting touch. Her movements flowed beautifully and I relaxed very quickly. Her massage on my feet, hands and arms was better than many that I had received during massages. Everything smelled fantastic! The cleansers, exfoliant, peel, mask, toner, moisturizer/​serum and even the hot towels which had lavender essential oil; it was beautiful. I suggest noting this and telling her before hand if you aren’t partial to the scent or are sensitive to it since I wasn’t aware of it before I was receiving the treatment. The one portion I didn’t particularly enjoy is when she gommaged the exfoliant off of my skin. My muscles and skin are sensitive to suddenly forceful movements and it was a bit uncomfortable. So I don’t think gommage is for me. I would have liked more of a scalp massage, and I don’t think I received the foot exfoliation, though I did have a wonderful foot massage. I put this off to the fact that she did quite a few extractions and I think it went into the relaxing time. It had been too long since I had my pores properly taken care of. She propped me up (her table is hydraulic) and got me some more yummy lemon water before I got dressed. I asked her how often she thought I should come in to maintain and she said at least once a month. She didn’t push me, but she also didn’t take the time to convey to me the importance of regular skin maintenance. It is a luxury to get a treatment true, but it increases your happiness and confidence so much that if you are able to you should. She is a great esthetician and I felt like she sold herself sort. 4.5÷5.0
I will happily go back and I am looking forward to trying some of the other treatments that are offered.

I had a facial here the other day and I will definitely be back. I love the décor and ambience. Both of the ladies who run the spa are so nice and accommodating. My esthetician recommended the 90 minute «awake» facial to revitalize my skin and it definitely did not dissapoint. She also gave me the most relaxing aromatherapy hand/​foot/​head massage during the mask portion of the facial. My face is still glowing and feels baby skin smooth. This is definitely a perfect little gem by the beach!

Releaf Spa is amazing! I love everything from the ambiance to the treatments, it’s simply the best! Both Reyna & Jamie are incredible at their skill. They are truly passionate about what they do, and their clients. Reyna gives the most amazing facials ever. I buy them as gifts & also get them myself. Jamie also does Make-​up, and damn, she is good! The products they use are organic & the best! You don’t know what you’re missing, you must try them out!

I have been getting facials/​peels from Jamie on a monthly basis for the last couple of years.
Why? Because she keeps my skin looking amazing!
I used to have hormonal/​cystic acne, but not any more since I have been seeing Jamie. I am 36 years old and have an active social life and stressful work schedule, and under Jamie’s care my pores have stayed small, wrinkles are a minimum, my acne (and scarring) has disappeared.
Prior experiences with facialists I saw before Jamie are ones I would rather not detail (for they were not pleasant or beneficial to my skin). What is more useful is to tell you that a facial with Jamie is completely rejuvenating from head to toe. If I skip a month, my skin is sure to let me know that it is time to go in and get pampered.
Not to mention, the salon is adorable, there is plenty of parking, and both girls are total dolls.

I’ve been a client of Jamie Louro for several years, and was thrilled when she and Reyna opened Releaf Spa. The space is wonderful: inviting, soothing, modern décor with a decidedly feminine touch. There is tons of parking available in the adjacent lot.
The spa offers a complete array of facials and body treatments as well as waxing and makeup services. Jamie is amazing. She has the touch and I can’t wait to try more of the spa offerings.

I have been a once a month client of Reyna’s for over 5 years, and I was so excited to hear the news about her and Jamie opening Releaf Spa! The spa is a little old Hollywood glamour with a modern touch and a gorgeous ocean view. Parking is plentiful. When I get a facial from Reyna, it feels like more than just a facial… with soothing foot, arm and head massages. Her technique is amazing and I feel more relaxed and rejuvenated after one of her 1.5-hour facials than an actual whole body massage!
I love that she always evaluates the current condition of my skin and gives me personalized care to address any issues I may be experiencing.
My skin has never been as good as in the hands of Reyna!

I get facials every few months or so and since my last place shut down I’ve been trying to find somewhere new and it has to be good for the moolah I fork out. I discovered Releaf Spa on Daily Save and purchased a facial which included a foot massage and brow wax. Reyna is awesome. She knows what she’s doing and you get a little of everything which I love. It’s so annoying when you get a basic facial and they don’t even bother doing an extraction or two. The spa is really cute and has a clean and girly feel to it. She talks to you about your skin and what you’re looking for and what she can do for you. Huge plus. Another good thing, the temperature in the room was just right. Hate when it’s too warm or too cold. I’ll definitely be back and looking forward to my next pampering day.
