We went on Fat Tuesday and the place was jumping. They had appropriate beads and decorations on all tables. I had the special Cajun seafood, it was delicious! We’ll definitely be back.

We ordered food out for the first time eating there. The pasta we ordered tasted like nothing. No flavor. The other dish we ordered looked and tasted like frozen raviolis… The sampler platter was ok… Just heard good things about the food and was very disappointed. Very expensive to be so let down.

Wonderful and outstanding service, food, and cleanliness. The Wallis family have gone over and beyond. Great place to go and just relax and have a great time.

Loved the small town feel in a classy big town themed restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff very friendly

Attended a catered event here. The appetizers included chicken wing egg rolls which were delicious. They served NY Strip with potatoes. Asked for medium and got well done. The steak was tough and chewy. Potatoes were ok. The mousse served for dessert was ok. There were no condiments available and the limited staff were a little overwhelmed for the amount of people present.

For Carbondale this place is a gem. The place is smaller and dark inside and could definitely use some lighter color paint. The service wAs good, however the waitress was asking us if we were good every 2 – 3 minutes, which at times became annoying. Overall the food was excellent and neatly prepared. My wife got the seafood pasta and the pasta was homemade, however there was not a lot of seafood in it, but it was tasty. The prices are a bit high but the food is top quality. Id come back.

Coming from New York I thought this place might have stood out against a town full of mediocre — below average food. WRONG! Seating was ridiculous: tall tables with stools.. overly crowded; don’t even know how the waitresses maneuver. Asked yo be seated outdoors so I wouldn’t have to be nut to butt with another loud table. Outdoor seating area = nice. There was a table therr with two children who were well behaved and quiet UNTIL the manager came ouy and began playing with them and encouraging them to run around up and down the seating area playing sharades and yelling loudly(kids were fine UNTIL idiot manager came) we ordered our food, rice balls were ok, took a half hour to get them but were ok, vodka sauce was bitter though. Husband ordered filet mignon with seafood pasta, order comes 45 minutes later and his steak is cut for him looking like grizzle. I ordered a veal chop which I swapped for the original pork chop that came with the meal and veal chop is cold and raw, not rare, RAW!. I’m sure this place is a diamond in the rough for the rest of the population which is fine, I understand; But I don’t recommend it. Crowded, noisy and management that doesn’t know what they’re doing. Uncomfortable atmosphere but upscale and fancy for the small town folk. Manhattan manor wouldn’t last in Manhattan, they have higher standards. Oh and I’m a experienced caterer, cook and a hospitality Major… I would take my advice! I will say that the waitress was very nice and apologetic and that they did take everything off the bill. So shout out to the waitress! Very nice girl.

Great little place for downtown Carbondale. Nice ambiance inside… and some seating that’s away from the bar which is nice if you want to converse. The staff was so courteous to my mom and her friends who were there for a reunion(just the night after we ate there for dinner). I splurged and had the Jodi’s Lobster dinner which was decent(Three, 3 oz lobster tails dusted with a blend of spices(which seems to be largely paprika which I’m not a huge fan of) and baked with a drizzle of butter paired with our potato and vegetable. This was good… but some of the appetizers we shared at the table were even better… boom-boom shrimp and loaded chips were out of this world! And the drinks we had were great as well! Give it a try if you’re in Carbondale and looking for someplace good to try…

I have to admit that downtown Carbondale is really looking kinda nice lately. Improvements of the sidewalks, street lights, building facades and a new hotel actually make it seem quaint and homey. Adding to the downtown revitalization is Manhattan Manor. The exterior of the building is completely renovated as is the dining space. We ordered two appetizers, Mark’s Favorite Chips and crab cakes. The crab cakes were just okay, but the chips were home made potato chips topped with buffalo sauce and blue cheese and very good. For an entrée I ordered Lauren’s Pasta which was cooked properly al dente and was tasty but just a little under salted. Two friends ordered Chicken Parmesan, the chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked but the marinara sauce had too much oregano for my taste. But I’m not a big fan of oregano in the first place so for a lot of people I’m sure it will be just fine. Another friend ordered Chicken Marsala which looked and smelled very good but I didn’t taste it. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. We never had to wait do have a drink filled or a plate cleared. Overall, it was a nice meal in a nice restaurant, in a newly nice downtown.

Manhattan Manor is a first-rate restaurant; excellent cuisine, very friendly servers, and lovely décor. It was full when we were seated, with very happy, chatty customers, but my fellow diners and I had no problem hearing each other. I can’t recommend a particular dish — — all of us believed we’d gotten the best meal in the house!

This is an excellent addition to the«dining» scene in C’dale…much needed! They have an eclectic menu; service is great; portions are ample and so are the beverages. Prices are reasonable.

I’ve been here quite a few times with friends, and I’ve never had a bad experience. There are many options on the menu, and every item I have had is delicious. The menu has a very large variety, including different types of flatbreads, pastas, sandwiches, burgers, and seafood. The owners are extremely friendly and always walking around socializing with first time guests and regular customers. Very well decorated inside with a fireplace, couches, and TV’s, and gives off an inviting atmosphere. There is also outdoor seating which adds a nice touch, especially during warm evenings. Gets very busy on nights with live music! The food and drinks are very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this place for everyone to try!
