The experience began with a consultation by Henry, the owner and a knowledgable arborist. He counseled me about the permit process and spoke to the city arborist, saving me time and money. The price of the consultation was applied toward the cost of the tree removal. I got three quotes and Quality Arbor Care responded promptly and their prices were the best. Todd, the good-​looking foreman and his crew were polite, friendly, and helpful. They were professional and hard working as they removed a three-​story high deceased walnut tree (quite impressive to watch!). They took great care not to damage any other plants or hedges. And if that were not already incredible enough, the crew did an excellent job with the clean up. There was no extra fee for them to discard the deceased wood. I highly recommend Quality Arbor Care!

Henry and his company did a great job. Our project required consultation with the town and and coordination with another (unrelated) company we had contracted with. Henry helped coordinate all the moving parts… Everything was done as promised on time an on budget. I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend this company.

I had Henry out to consult me on a property I was thinking about purchasing (we ended up buying the property). He was very prompt, professional, knowledgeable and fair priced. If we decide to have any of our trees removed I’ll be giving them a call to do the job.

Henry is totally the Tree Whisperer.
I’ve got this crazy 100 year old cypress grove in my front yard and every couple years a dump a ton of money in keeping in from overtaking the world. I thought that over the years, I had tried everybody in town. never being completely satisfied. That is until I turned to Unilocal and found Henry and Quality Arbor Care.
The reviews said good prices and great crew… And they were accurate. Henry came out to size up the project and he is this very patient calm guy. He listened to everything I had to say, gave me a little feedback but all the while seeming really focused on giving me what I wanted. He then spent like 20 minutes quietly studding (or whispering to) the monster that is my hedge.
He later came back with a really fair and competitive bid. Over the years I’ve spent more and I’ve spent less but I really felt comfortable Henry was going to give me what I was looking for and I wasn’t disappointed.
We did have a little mixup on the arrival time and this would be my only tip for Henry… It would be really great to have a confirmation call with the customer the day before and again like 30 min before… It’s really easy to do and is super helpful for the customer.
When they arrive they had a great crew… Super nice guys. As they got started, they pulled me in as they tried different techniques and to determine the height and shape I had in my mind. After a few minutes they totally got it and went on their way. Towards the end of the cut and even though they had put in a hard days work, I was able to direct them to areas that have concerned me in the past and they took care of every point I brought up without question.
Fantastic crew, super friendly, great value for the dollar and they really delivered.

Todd is the best! A neighbor of mine recommended him when our cat had been stuck up in a tree for two days and two nights. After calling him late in the day on a Friday, he called us right back and was out to our house within an hour or so, after working all day on other jobs. He rescued our children’s beloved cat by climbing about 100 feet up in the Redwood tree & his persistence paid off! He is amazing. We were so grateful because this was the Friday before Labor Day weekend. We are so happy he was able to rescue our pet!

Just had two 40ft Monterey Cypress trees cut and cleaned. Henry runs a good crew, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a certified Arborist on the crew the day of the job. They spent the entire day (8a-​5p), with five guys, working hard. Excellent work– I’m very very happy. Henry is easy to deal with and the price was very reasonable. I don’t think I would have had any better result at twice the price with the larger brands in town. Definitely recommend.

First impression count. It is usually indicative of how the business will handle
stuff in the future. As promised the next morning Henry
showed up on time to give us the estimate. He was very informative and
explained clearly what we needed to save our tree. Gave me the price
on the spot which I found to be very reasonable.
He came back two days later to prune the tree, did a really nice job and
cleaned the whole area. Hardly knew he had been there and I was left
with a beautiful well groomed tree. I am a very happy customer

Henry was recommended to me by someone I trust, and came out to my home in a timely manner to provide an estimate to cut down some trees. I had received a number of quotes from other folks and Henry’s price was very reasonable. He ended up cutting down three trees and also removed some other plants from my yard. He and his crew did an outstanding job! They were very thorough and left everything very clean and tidy. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the quality of the work. I would hire them again in an instant!

I didn’t hire these guys BUT they worked over my family’s heads all day taking down two massive sick pine trees. These trees could easily smash me in my office below when they fell. Now they can’t. These guys skillfully removed the trees with obvious experience. Any other method would just leave carnage and insurance adjusters in its wake. Now the neighborhood is not only a safer place to sit, it smells nice too.

We have used Henry’s service off and on for the past 10 years — depending on our needs. When we lived in the mountains, he thinned our gigantic pine. Here by the beach, he just pruned and thinned our beautiful, old plum tree. I’m writing today because his thinning of the branches created a beautiful canopy. His work shows the natural beauty of the plant. Absolutely spectaclar. It’s art! He is also a delight to work with.

We had a beautiful oak in our backyard that started to split. When I called and spoke with Henry based on a friends recommendation, Henry showed up at our house on the same day. Gave us a very competitive quote and was also able to clear up some other work at our home the next day. Work was professional and we could not have been happier.

Henry rocks the nation. I’ve had him do major jobs cutting down or trimming 50 ft tall, old cypress trees. He’s an experienced arborist so considers the best way to cut a tree considering the owner’s vision for future tree growth or suppression. And Henry’s a great guy to have working for you.

YO, this guy knows his Trees man…
I’m proud to call him my «Tree Guy» If I need any wood chips. he gives em up! Henry is a straight up fellow… He’s been workin’ down to his bones enamel let me tell ya! He never gives up_​His business has been around Santa Cruz for years… If you can trust me. You most definitely can TRUST the shat outta him to take down your trees cleanly!
I seen this guy bust out redwood growth with 3 guys, one on the tree top cutting it in half. One on the ground deciphering where the branches and such need to land and one dude in the crane moving a seemingly «million» ton tree trunk with ease!
Anyone that could do that with no damage is A-​OK in my book!
