At People’s, we have a diverse community of medical practitioners with a broad range of knowledge and experience. We act as your personal health team to help navigate your healing path.

Our services include acupuncture– in both private and community settings, massage, Naturopathic medicine, gentle Chiropractic, organic, clinical esthetics, and Life Coaching shamanism, and medical Qi Gong.

Our clinic specializations include chronic pain and sports injury, auto-​immune diseases, migraines, insomnia, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, Hormone balancing, chronic digestive issues, celiac disease, parkinson’s, hepatitis C, women’s reproductive health, infertility, impotence, prostate health, weight loss, cosmetic acupuncture, acne, rosacea, structural re-​alignment, and stress reduction.

History

Established in 2011.

Started in 2011 by Lishanna and Daniele, People’s was founded with the vision of creating a true, integrative practice, with a team of professionals collaborating to offer the highest quality patient care. People’s has since flourished into a healing refuge, with the community acupuncture clinic at it’s heart. We hope to be an integral part of the Santa Cruz medical community for years to come!

I honestly have not been to this location yet, but I do know that Erin is the best body worker around and will be starting here in January so I will be. If you have any pain you want out of your life, you should definitely schedule with her. She found things that I didn’t even know that I had wrong and found the source of everything that I thought that I knew where it was. I truly have been given a new lease on life after only a few massages. I have always been hesitant by massage and uncomfortable with what I thought was a spa treatment for women. Now I’m addicted and will follow this therapist anywhere.

Lishanna is my acupuncturist at People’s Integrative. She is always bright, thoughtful, gentle and kind. I look forward to our visits and I always know that I will reap many benefits.
I’ve been going to People’s Integrative Medicine and Acupuncture for a couple of years now. A few months ago I was having what I thought were random symptoms. Lishanna had me fill out a new health survey. She studied the results and did a great deal of research. She suggested appropriate supplements, treated me with acupuncture and I have felt so much better. Many of my issues have disappeared all together.
I highly recommend the cosmetic acupuncture. It is incredible.

Ive worked with Sandra extensively for issues around my chronic back pain and the results have astounded me. Her treatments are the only thing I found to reduce my pain and increaser my mobility. She is deeply present and compassion with a deeply intuitive nature. I could not recommend her more highly! Also the vibe and aesthetic inside Peoples and the treatment rooms is pristine!

I have been a client of esthetician Leah Rumple for several years. I am highly enthusiastic about her amazing level of personal service and close attention to the very finest of details. I walk away from ours appointments feeling years younger and much lighter in spirit. Her treatments are cleansing from the inside out and my skin has never been happier. I cannot say enough about Leah’s positive attitude and remarkable healing abilities with skin rejuvenation. I began seeing Sandra Subotich when I moved back to the area. I was not terribly excited to look for an acupuncturist after having one of my best friend’s as my acupuncturist in the Bay Area. However, Sandra has seamlessly filled my friend’s shoes. When I have pain in my problem areas (neck/​shoulder) or emotional/​energetic stuckness I know that a visit to Sandra for energy work (Reiki + Medical Qigong) and/​or acupuncture will help move everything along. Sandra is a great listener and I’m so happy that I found her!

I had been suffering from depression and mild to severe back pain for many years. It’s hard enough to get up and deal with your day when you’re physically injured, but the mental fatigue drains you the most, by far. After some forceful (yet loving) deliberation from my wife, she insisted that i visit her acupuncturist Sandra Subotich. I have to say i was very skeptical, but just after our first session i felt something strange. It felt like waking up for the first time. I’m not exactly sure how to explain it but i guess you could say i felt young again. I’ve had several sessions so far and my back pain has subsided considerably and my mind is clearer than it has ever been. Sandra has dug me out of a deep hole and i cannot thank her enough. I know who i am again, and that in my opinion is one of the greatest gifts one can get.

This place is great. I have been going here for five years for massage. Kristin is one of the best massage therpist in Santa Cruz county. Everyone in the office truly cares about you and your overall health. Just started doing acupuncture treatments with Molly. She is a great therpist and friendly and very knowledgeable about vitamins, foods and medicines. The service is amazing.

I’ve been seeing Sandra Subotich for the past couple of years for stress management and back pain. She is amazing! She combines Reiki with acupuncture for the ultimate healing experience. I feel the positive effects of her energy work and acupuncture treatments for weeks afterwards.

I cannot say enough great things about People’s Integrative Health and Molly Chaudoir (as my acupuncturist). I first started seeing Molly for a variety of issues — Migraine’s, digestion, dizziness, stress, neck/​should pain — the list goes on and on. After a few months of working with Molly, some of my symptoms are completely gone, and some have decreased significantly. Molly cares so much for her patients and truly wants to improve their quality of life. She has always gone above and beyond to help me. She’s super responsive to emails and is always willing to get me herbs in a very timely manner. I’ve never felt rushed during my appointments — and a lot of time I feel that Molly takes extra time with me to be sure we are getting the most out of each session. I work in San Jose 4 days a week and Molly is able to accommodate my crazy schedule-​which I am forever thankful for. Molly and the rest of the folks at People’s Integrative Health are constant advocates for their patients health.
Kristin is also so wonderful. When I first starting coming to the clinic, I was unsure as to how my insurance worked with acupuncture. She always took her time explaining the costs and paperwork involved. I never felt like I was going to get a «surprise» bill from my insurance company or the clinic. Another great thing about People’s Integrative Health is all the practitioners work together to treat all the patients. This was important to me as my insurance makes me use my approved acupuncture sessions within a certain time period. If Molly was out, I still had the ability to use my approved sessions.
I am truly thankful to have Molly as my acupuncturist and am so thankful to have found People’s Integrative Health.

Leah Rumple does such an amazing job. To book an appointment with her do it a week or two maybe even three in advanced. I have been going to her from almost 6 years plus. I moved out to San Jose and I have gone to a few people over her and no one does magic like her. She has helped my brows grow and fixed them in way no one can. She really takes her time and focuses on what needs to be done. As well as you can be as picky as you want and she listens and does it exactly right. I definitely recommend her and have referred her to my family and friends.

Just got an AMAZING facial by the lovely Tracy Pharris! She offered me tea and showed me to my room the moment I came in — no waiting time at all. The room — and overall spa — is well kept and has a calm atmosphere (i got no snooty attitudes).
Now on to the good part — the facial itself. I layed in a warmly heated bed, had steam gliding onto my face, had my face massaged and treated with organic and lovely scented Hungarian products — amazing! And through it all Tracy was always checking how i was doing, informing me on what she was doing and why. Her knowledge is extraordinary. She went above and beyond to help me with my breakouts and dryness by writing down several tips and product recommendations.
Fantastic experience! Highly recommend Tracy and this facility :)

I have been getting facials from Leah who works at Integrative for a couple months now. She introduced a new skin care treatment called Face Reality to me and ever since I have had less and less acne breakouts. Face Reality has changed my skin forever. I recommend it to anyone out there who has been battling acne, go to integrative and get an appointment with Leah! You won’t regret it!

I was an acupuncture newbie. I’ve been suffering from chronic abdominal pain for years and as of recently migraines. I went in because I was tired of doctors handing my pain medication instead of really getting to the core of my problem. Daniele is amazing, she listens to all symptoms and explains what she’s doing and why. I went in with a migraine that I’d had for 3 days straight and walked out feeling significantly better. Though my pain is still there every time I go back it gets a little more manageable. I highly recommend Daniele if you are new to acupuncture.

First time acupuncture, first time to People’s. This used to be a day spa type place. So, last I was here I had my brow’s down and it still looked nearly the same.
They have you fill out an approx. 5 page survey with your health history. It is very thorough; but, feels a tad lengthy. Especially when you realize how many things are «wrong» with you.
I bought the groupon for a consultation, 4 acupuncture and a massage. I made sure before checking Unilocal and People’s was legit.
With the Groupon you get a 15 min consultation, a massage and then 4 sessions in the community room. As a newbie to all this I wasn’t sure about the «community room.» But all it is, is a quiet space with 4 beds and they only apply pins to hands, feet and head exposed areas. It’s extra for private room. With some pain in my shoulder the Doc recommended Gua Sha or after some research I found that it’s called scraping as well. It causes crazy bruises in areas that your body will help heal. Then, you wait a week for the bruises to heal and do it again until the injury is healed.
All in all I have my next appointment booked. And I am excited for my new journey with Eastern Medicine.

My wife grew up with Meghan and recommended me to go see her. Meghan helped me tremendously during a very painful injury. She is easily the best masseuse in Santa Cruz county! I had some back issues and had gone through numerous doctor’s appointments, chiropractic work, back specialist visits, physical therapy sessions, and pain management routines and was still in a good amount of pain. After a couple of weekly sessions with Meghan, my back pain subsided and I was able to live a normal life again and not be prohibited in my daily routine. She understands the needs of her patients and what will work for them. She is a miracle worker with those hands!

I’ve been to a few practitioners at Peoples Integrative Medicine, and they were fantastic. Especially Vladi Starkov: her medical Qi Gong has changed my life. No matter what my story she is all wisdom, exudes contagious happiness, and very creatively helps guide me to a better attitude, joy, and confidence. She’s way moiré effective than any Western or Eastern doctor/​practitioner.
Shauna Taylor is an excellent massage therapist. As if water witching she immediately finds those tight tense spots that need her magic.
Daniel is a good and compassionate Qi Gong therapist as well.
I’ve never had any success with Eastern therapies/​medicines until I came here. Even without Unilocal,I recommend these people to everyone I know.
