Dr. Raffo and his staff are absolutely incredible! I was first referred to Dr. Raffo by a close friend and his wife who had rave reviews about their entire experience. They were able to slot me in on the same day I called, as I had a minor dental mishap. During my first visit, I was immediately struck by the beautiful and technologically advanced office. The friendly staff got me seated almost instantly and started my dental work. Dr. Raffo (who is very personable and professional) then came in and completed the work! I was in and out in 30 minutes, completely satisfied with their care. There are now several people in my work place who are either current patients or plan to switch to Raffo Dental because of all the wonderful experiences we share.

I went in with excruciating pain and needed a root canal ASAP. The front staff was empathetic kind and efficient. I got same day exam, x-​rays and a referral. Recently having moved to the area and in need of a new dentist I lucked out finding Dr. Raffo. My entire family goes to him including our three year old, who has been going now for two years– she loves it and looks forward to the routine cleanings! They don’t advertise as a pediatric dentist, but I would highly recommend anyone-​young or older who wants a fun clean office with the best care and staff who will remember your name– try Dr. Raffo and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Raffo’s dental office is very clean with a beautiful waiting area, doesn’t smell at all with a very welcoming front desk staff. They have the latest technology and a very comfortable dental chair. As soon as you enter his dental clinic, Diana will welcome you with her beautiful smile as well as his dental assistant. All of them are super nice and helpful!!! If you have insurance problem or question, Diana will call your insurance company and call you back to explain everything to you.
I’ve seen all his dental hygienist for teeth cleaning and almost all of them are amazing (except for 1, but that doesn’t stop me from giving them 5 stars).
Dr. Raffo is very professional, gentle, thorough and nice. His quality of work is excellent!

When my long time dentist retired, I was not thrilled at the prospect of finding another one. I’m so glad that a friend referred me to Dr. Raffo. I’ve been in 3 times, and never had to wait more than a few minutes of my appointment time. My procedure was on the costly side, but the charges here were less than I had anticipated. What can be better than a clean office, top notch dental equipment, friendly staff, and excellent dentist, and fair charges. I also like that they email appointment reminders to you.

Dr. Raffo is the one of the best Dentist’s I’ve ever had. I’ve seen an awful lot of him, but he is awesome and has a great sense of humor. I’m thankful to have found him when I needed a second opinion from another dentist whom I’ve also reviewed after being quoted major bucks for work that it turns out I didn’t really need! You need to be on top of your own care with any practice and it pays to ask questions before you get charged. Such as for fillings, his office staff automatically schedules you for the most expensive fillings unless you request otherwise. Some fillings will never be seen and therefore don’t require the white colored fillings which are the most expensive. Always ask questions before you have the work done.

Dr. Raffo and most of his office are great. He is sincere, kind and pays close attention to the often jumpy patient (me). I’m not a frequent reviewer but after he met me in less than an hour for a dental emergency on his day off I had to break the silence. You can’t go wrong with Dr. Raffo as a dentist. I’ve never had a dentist that has nearly taken away the panic when of hearing «You have a small cavity here». Best of all he knew when to send me to a specialist; that alone is the sign of an exceptional provider in my book.
A slight revision in star rating for the office staff somewhat aggressive stance about receiving their payment immediately. We all understand, but some graciousness would be appreciated.

I found Dr. Raffo after moving to the area. I have had a history of cavities and have spent a lot of time in the dentist’s chair. Dr. Raffo is by far the BEST dentist I have been to. He put me at ease immediately, and the office was clean and bright. They don’t have any TV’s or added amenities like the last place I was going to (a DentSpa) but I appreciate that they have adopted the digital age. Appointment reminders are sent promptly by e-​mail, which means no phone-​tag just to confirm an appointment. And don’t let their lack of distractions fool you, Dr. Raffo and all the hygenists are so nice and didn’t make me feel like crap for neglecting to visit a dentist for years.
I recently had two fillings done and I always dread the pinch of the needle that delivers the anesthesia. I shouldn’t have been worried at all because Dr. Raffo was so gentle I didn’t felt a thing! I was in and out in 30 minutes and I was honestly surprised that it was actually an almost enjoyable experience! (I don’t think going to the dentist can ever be truly enjoyable, that’s not Dr. Raffo’s fault though).
As someone completely new to the area and who hates going to the dentist, Dr. Raffo gets two big thumbs up! I will maybe… sorta… kinda look forward to my next cleaning.

I would give ten stars if I could. Everything encompassing Dr Raffos practice is top notch. From the easy parking, to the beautiful waiting area, to the super comfortable treatment chairs…
I’ve seen a handful of different gals for teeth cleanings and they’ve all been painless and quick with sweet personalities. Dr Raffo is always in a great mood, he’s very thorough, gentle, but never pushy. I’m actually looking forward to getting dental work for once in my life!
The office is always clean looking, but not uncomfortably sterile either, very welcoming. Lastly, the front desk is my favorite. Diana and the gal who does insurance are so helpful, it’s almost too good to be true. A stable front desk staff is probably one of my favorite qualities in a business, I always know who’s going to answer when I call, very comforting.
Overall, my favorite part about Dr Raffos office is the positive vibes flowing around (aside from the great skills of course). It’s like everyone takes happy pills before work, making what could be an anxious appointment into a relaxing one.

I give Dr. Raffo an overwhelming 5 stars, BUT I give his office staff a definite 1 star. First of all, you almost never get anyone who answers the phone when you call, it always goes to voicemail, then maybe you get called back the next day (when you’re not available.) But mostly, it’s the receptionist Melanie who is the problem. I called to make an appt., and I was given the most unhelpful, and totally incorrect information possible. In a service business, you should try to be kind, understanding, and helpful to your clients, it is more like she argues with you and adamantly tells you stuff that is not at all like the way it happens when you’re there. Since Dr. Raffo is so excellent, I would think he would want his reception staff to also reflect the same professionalism. Too bad…

I am a mom tracking down a dentist for my son, a freshman in another part of the state. My son’s wonderful dentist is not one of the providers on my son’s new school dental plan, so he needs to find one on the plan. This practice is a provider for my son’s school dental plan. Since I do not want to sacrifice quality to save much needed dollars in our budget, I came to Unilocal to read reviews. My first step in switching dentists is being handled by Melanie, the face of Dr. Raffo’s practice. She is amazingly efficient, knowledgeable and informative. I can’t imagine student dental plans are lucrative for the practice, but Malanie is treating us like royalty. His first appointment isn’t until March, so I don’t have anything to write about the dental experience yet, but if Melanie is any indication of the quality of service provided, my son will receive professional and capable care.

Hey, I almost had FUN at the dentist today! Dr. Raffo is gentle, thorough, professional, and he has a sense of humor!

This review is long overdue. My family have been patients of Dr. Raffo’s practice for about 6 years. He and his entire staff ROCK! They are professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind and just plain nice! They go above and beyond to make sure everything is right and the patient is satisfied.
I enjoy going to the Dentist because I’m going to see a friend. Through the years Dr. Raffo has gotten to know our family and is genuinely interested in our lives.
Dr. Raffo and his staff care about their patients and I highly recommend his practice!

Ditto to all of the above comments. Other than the loud music which is not to my taste, everything about this office is great, especially Dr Raffo’s relaxed yet professional manner, his attention to you as a person and his great support staff.

I love this dental office! I have been a patient here for 4 years and highly recommend Dr. Raffo. He and all of his staff have been consistently professional, timely and friendly. They truly seem to care about what is best for the patient. You will not be disappointed!

I used to hate going to the dentist. But after my first visit to Dr. Raffo’s office, I no longer dread going to the dentist. The office is clean, the staff is super helpful and Dr. Raffo is super nice and puts your mind at ease. If all dentists were like him, everyone would have perfect teeth!

I chose this dentist because 1.) he takes my insurance and 2.) he had great Unilocal reviews. I am so glad I did!!! The staff is friendly, professional and prompt (to the minute!). The hygienist, Amy, was funny and gentle and I honestly enjoyed my cleaning. Dr. Raffo is really down-​to-​earth and has a great chair-​side manner.

Dr. Raffo is the Best Dentist I have ever been to. He has a great sense of Humor. Very Gentle on the teeth, Quality work on everthing I have had done with him and his staff. All the young ladies are very nice and just a pleasant experience everytime! If you need a new Dentist look no further.

Do yourself a favor — run, don’t walk to this guy’s office and sign up for the best damn dental experience you are likely to have in this world. Mike is cool, professional and extremely proficient, as are every member of his staff. They are also friendly and funny and generally pleasant in every way. But that’s not even the best thing about this practice. They make you feel truly involved in the decision making about your care. Mike takes a picture of anything of concern so you can see it as you discuss. They summarize your insurance situation at each visit and give you «pre-​game» summaries of what your choices will cost. They use the latest and greatest technology and are truly excellent at their jobs. Seriously, Mike Raffo could teach a class to other dentists on how to run a practice. My wife and I actually like going to the dentist and leave whistling dixie even after major work. I could not recommend a dentist more highly.

So my dentist passed away a couple years ago and I hate the person that took over his business. I had a soft spot for my old dentist– he was the only guy I had ever been to (I’m 29) and everyone in his practice was almost like family. So it’s been two years since I had been to the dentist.
I got a referral from my boss who said I should see this guy Michael Raffo. SO I went thinking I’d probably hate him too, but I have to say I walked out with a smile on my face! Professional and nice all at the same time.
Filling out all my new insurance paper work was a breeze and the my hygienist (Kari I think?) was awesome! I would strongly suggest anyone looking for a new dentist give his office a try!
