Finding a good hair stylist/​barber is like finding a good doctor and/​or therapist. Larry is an excellent hair stylist/​barber. I appreciate his knowledge of hair, relaxed manner and sense of humor. I’m fortunate to have found him I would highly recommend Larry for your hair care needs.

I happened to stumble into Inspire Salon because my bangs needed a trim, Larry greeted me kindly and gave me a very inexpensive trim. I made a hair appointment with him and found out that he is great with wigs and extensions. He has also worked with people with Alopecia which I have and it was like the heavens parted and sent Larry my way! Larry gave me a few extensions to frame my face, since my original bout with alopecia my hair has never been as full, the extensions are really affordable and easy to maintain.
Larry has helped me grow out my bob, he really listens to what I want and delivers which I haven’t found with many hair dressers. He gives the best shampoo it feels like your going to drift off into dream land! He has also introduced me to affordable organic hair products — who knew they existed! Between his hair expertise and his fun personality it’s a total win-​win

My 12-​year-​old daughter has naturally very curly hair and it was extremely tangled. I read a lot of reviews for other salons, but most of the other salons showed professional photos showcasing their salons but not their work. Most of those that DID show their work did not show very impressive work on naturally curly hair. After throwing in the towel and making an appointment with one of these salons, I stumbled across Inspire’s Facebook page and noted they had some impressive photos of clients with naturally curly hair. It said they took walk-​ins so we took our chances.
Larry greeted us warmly, offering us something to drink and we immediately felt as ease. He took on her tangled mess with enthusiasm, non-​judgementally, and my daughter commented to me when he stepped out for a moment that she was going to fall asleep because it felt like a head massage. Coincidentally, Larry has naturally curly hair and understood our challenge, recommending a couple products that were priced way below what I’ve paid in the past for detangling products.
My daughter wanted a very short, straight, bleach-​blonde hairstyle that wouldn’t have worked for her. He cut and styled her hair BEAUTIFULLY, giving her a simple yet elegant hairstyle that would be easy to take care of and a style that we could easily duplicate at home. I thought for sure there would be an extra charge for detangling her hair, but there wasn’t! In fact, it cost less than I thought it would.
She walked out of there with her head held high, feeling beautiful and confident, something I rarely see in her. The pics I took afterward at home had poor lighting so she will restyle her hair the way Larry showed her and I will take more pics and post them later. We look forward to being regular clientele.

I have been making the drive from Pacific Grove to Capitola, where Larry can be found at Inspire Salon, for over a year now. I live my life in wigs and Larry’s knowledge and styling expertise as well as his friendly and welcoming personality always make the drive totally worth it!!! He’s breathed life back into wigs that I thought were long gone, beautifully styled new ones that needed work as well as coloring my natural hair!
I originally heard about Larry from a friend’s recommendation and I’m so glad I followed through and got hold of him! He’s my go to hair expert for life!!!

My daughter and I both visit Larry when we need our hair taken care of. And Larry really loves hair, and how to make it looks its best! He also is expert at mixing and applying color so that it looks natural. I always receive many compliments on my color from my girlfriends after I have gotten my hair done by Larry.
Of course, the real reason I would never go anywhere else for my hair is the exquisite conversations we have, and the loads of laughs. I always feel better, and not only because I look better!
