Moving furniture to the storage was easy and simple. Good crew, and they are cautious. The staff at the office are nice and helpful.

Worst moving company ever! They overcharged us, our furniture arrived damaged (dishes and food was thrown in boxes with coats and clothes) and customer service was horrible! Steer clear of this moving coming. They are unethical and unprofessional!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!
We are a military family who had a move scheduled with this company. On 6÷28÷2013, the movers came 1 hour late and began packing up our household goods. Within 30 mins of their arrival, I received a call that my mother was rushed to the hospital so I had to leave the movers unsupervised. My husband was flying in to help with the move so he was not there at the time.
When I returned back from the hospital later that evening 95% of our belongings were packed, but the price drastically changed from what was originally agreed upon. We debated with the movers who called his supervisor (who was useless) and because most of our belongings were on the truck they threatened that they would not unload or move the vehicle until an amount and additional down payment was received. My husband gave in because this is the same night that my mother passed away and we were emotionally drained!!!
The furniture arrived to IL unwrapped and damaged. Our living room set is cream and had no wrapping and had foot prints and tears on the cushions. Not one item arrived undamaged. They even threw our winter coats in the same box with our pots and pans. We filed a claim, stated in our contract in case of damages and received $ 114.00. This is the WORST storage company and WORST customer service ever.

ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!
I scheduled a move across country in November with Starving Students who handed it off to Elite, Twins, and who knows who else! Starving Students will not return my calls, Twins is now putting me off and Oscar from Elite gives me a bullshit response every time I talk to him.
I was very adamant about picking up a large piece of furniture that was not to be missed in the move. Well, they not only didn’t pick it up but several months later I still do not have it. On top of that I was grossly overcharged and am still owed money.
My original pick up date was changed at the last minute to a day earlier. The detailed list that I provided to Starving Students not only never got to the movers, but they claim it was my fault that the item was left behind. Considering I am and have been on the other side of the country, how is that possible?
The large piece of furniture was left behind and not picked up until over a month later after several imploring phone calls on my part and it has now been 56 days and I still don’t have it!
I was overcharged $ 600.00 and told that I would have to pay $ 400.00 to get my piece of missed furniture back. Still waiting…
Unfortunately there is little to no recourse for unethical and incompetent movers. Department of Consumer Affairs won’t help, Department of Transportation only takes complaints but does nothing and the court system will only help with monetary issues, not getting back my furniture.
I have been and am being held hostage by a horrible industry who has been allowed to run rampant without proper recourse. I will never again use a «Professional» moving company.

This is the first review I’ve ever written because I’m so furious. I am moving from Washington, D.C. to Atlanta, GA and was given a quote for the move via phone and e-​mail. I then paid an extra $ 176.40 for a «straight delivery.» The company first told me they could pick the items up in D.C. on Thursday, January 30 and have everything delivered to me in Atlanta on Friday, January 31. I then received a call that they needed to pick up everything on Tuesday, January 28. I then got everything ready to go and met the guys outside at 8:30am on the 28^th. As we are going over the paperwork, Eli tells me they cannot guarantee my items in Atlanta by Friday, January 31. Instead, they said they can guarantee my items to me in Atlanta by Wednesday, February 5. After showing them my confirmation e-​mail of my delivery date in Atlanta, they called their manager. I spoke with Isaac, (the manager) and asked him why they offered a «straight delivery» if they cannot guarantee the items by a certain date. He told me he wasn’t sure where Alicia (the woman I spoke with and confirmed via e-​mail) came up with that number. I am currently sitting in my living room writing this review while I wait for another phone call from Isaac. I’ve truly never been so furious about a move in my life. I hope you will take my review into consideration before arranging your next move.

rude and no customer service !!
i used twin movers on sept 30, i noticed that day they put a small hole in my wall from moving my couch and also scratched my couch.
i called later that day and now its oct 11 and have not heard back from them.
i talked to numerous people and explained the hole is not big i just want it fixed. as i stated have not heard back. i would not recommend them to anyone !!!

HORRIBLE! I didn’t even want to give them one star. I used this company last June with a groupon. Everything was booked and I followed up with them closer to the move and it all seemed fine. On the day of the move the sketchiness began. No one showed up and as I called the company Isaac was throwing excuses at me about the trucks breaking down and it’s around the corner and then the truck was lost and blah blah blah. Finally he made me reschedule for the next morning (after wasting my entire day and did I mention that it was the last day of my lease). The next morning there were more excuses and they finally showed up about 2 – 3 hours later than expected. I was so thankful they showed up finally because I was in a crunch but the movers were very inexperienced and unprofessional. They charged me unforeseen amounts for «blankets and wrapping furniture» and they left the dirty blankets on my couches in the storage facility. Not to mention they wasted time wrapping furniture that was unnecessary. Due to their lack of experience, one of the movers clumsily stacked my belongings on the storage cart causing it all to tumble and my brand new TV stand fell and crashed on the concrete. After many more annoying phone calls and insurance requests– I was denied any reimbursement for my ruined furniture which could not be repaired. NEVER USE THIS SLEAZY COMPANY!

Amazon local has a $ 99 coupon deal, so I called twins to get more info. The 1^st rep was annoyed when I asked about how they would wrap an HD TV. (Some have crates, some use boxes, some just wrap in blankets). She suggested getting 3 men just for the big TV?! Blantant upsell that’s not needed! I’d spoken to 8 other professional movers and ALL of them said it’s a 2 man move. Then she started interrupting me constantly so I said goodbye since she wasn’t listening to the customer. The web site had many offices and phone #‘s. So I called some. THEY ALL GO TO A CAP. HTS. CALL CENTER! Don’t be fooled, there are no other local offices. The next person I spoke to told me that my move date wasn’t available?! Hmmm? The 1^st unpleasant woman said my date was good, but I hadn’t mentioned the $ 99 deal. The 2^nd guy (a supervisor or perhaps the «owner», Issac) told me my date was NOT available — but he knew I had the coupon?!? Hmmm fishy?
IMHO = very shady… very secretive… very defensive people. I do not trust this company and I’m glad I didn’t buy the coupon. You would be wise to make a lot of pre-​plans and calls if you actually are going to use this company. The other reviews I read on Unilocal were also 1 star w/​lots of complaints about lying. (how can these people be in business?)
FYI = Beltway Movers, Moyer and Sons, and Amigo Express are my top 3 choices for my particular situation in MD, for what it’s worth. The 1^st 2 are HIGHLY recommended by consumer checkbook and were reasonably priced.
That’s my 2 cents — remember… it’s worth what you paid for it!

This is the least professional company I’ve dealt with in my life. I strongly advice against using them.
They did not show up at all the day I was supposed to move (Mon 25 Feb 2013). I spent half a day just trying to get in touch with them and understand why they could not do the move I had booked with them.
They kept on saying they would call me back, but they never did. Eventually I managed to reach them and they told me they could PROBABLY move me on Tue 26 Feb. I asked for a confirmation that never came.
When I talked to them for the last time they said the earliest they could move me would be March 3. They barely apologized for the trouble they caused me (I lost 2 days of work because of them).

When I called in to make my moving appointment, I was advised that I would receive 2 men and the price would cost me $ 316.00. This price included wrapping my furniture, pictures, etc. I was also advised that this price was included for 4 hours and that the men would arrive at my property at 10:00am that morning. On November 16, 2012, I received a phone call that the guys were at my property at 8:00am. I immediately advise the individual on the phone that my appointment was not until 10:00am. The foreman ask me at that time, «Can you come now?» I felt this was extremely unprofessional however; I needed my furniture moved so I decided to meet the foreman at my old address: 4305 Midtown Square Apt# 5037 Camp Springs, MD. 20 746. Once the foreman came into my apartment he started gauging the prices. He stated to waps certain furnitures and pictures, it would cost me additional money. I advised him that when I made the appointment I was told that for $ 316.00 you guys would move a 1 bedroom (968 square footage) in less than 4 hours. He advise me that this was incorrect information that I was told. This company is filled with crooks. You advertise one price and then on moving date you added $ 150.00 additional to the price. I was told that to move my pictures it would cost me an additional $ 35.00 per picture. The one picture that I want them to move they never moved however; they charged me for the picture. In addition, they charged me seperately for gas and mileage and this was all located under the previous price of $ 316.00. I called the company back and told them that they never moved the picture over my fireplace from the old apartment. In addition, I advise the individual that you have already deducted the funds off my credit card. He said he would call me back and never did. The company also broke my furniture down so that they could get it in the apartment and then told me once they brought it to my new apartment that they would not put my furniture together. Can you believe these people? You took my furniture apart and didn’t even want to put it back together. Once I started complaining that this is ridiculous and I will see you in court; then all of sudden, I was told my furniture will be placed back together if I give them a monetary tip. This company is the absolute worst moving company I have ever encountered and I will never use them again. In addition, I will advise all of my friends and family of their criminal activities. There should be a law against gauging prices in the State of Maryland and I will make sure that I write my Senator with regards to this company and this issue. My desired request would be an apology for the unprofessionalism and the gauging of prices, not wanting to put my furniture back together, the nastyness of the foreman, and most importantly, THE MISREPRESENTATION OF COST THAT IS ADVERTISED. I AM WARNING ANYONE TO NOT USE THIS COMPANY… THEIR SERVICE IS THE WORST, THEIR PROFESSIONALISM IS THE WORST, AND THEY MISREPRESENT THEIR PRICES TO GET THE JOB!!! FIND SOMEONE ELSE…
