The best fish tacos! And salsa and guac! If I want Mexican food this is the only place I want :)

The food is always good especially the mole tacos but the service couldn’t be worse. The short shaved head homeboy at the front was rude and had zero personality when I asked him a question. Every time I come the cashiers act like I’m bothering them when ordering. No hospitality, no smiles, just angry people. I dont k ow if they do t get paid enough, or if they are not treated well or what but this will be the last time I come here unfortunately. The food is really good although they charge for every last little thing. Try Pedro’s next time off Camino. Hopefully they hire a new staff that gets their fingers out of their ass

Great chips and salsa… and machaca burritos are amazing… BUT staff is extremely unfriendly and the prices are outrageous for Mexican food. My four kids surf competitively and they unfortunately love the mini bean and cheese burritos when we host surf team events. I go out of my way to NOT spend my money here. Customer service is important to us

Don’t know what the hype is all about… I guess around here there’s not that much mexican places to eat. I mean Alertos/Albertos is better than this place. Took forever to get out food, I guess there busy with catering too. Won’t be back :(

If your looking for good authentic Mexican food, do not come to this place, but if your just looking for ok Mexican good your ok to come to this restaurant ! Customer service is bad, I don’t think the owner of this business reads any the Unilocal comments on his restaurant other wise he/she/they would train their stuff better on good hospitality skills.

I have eaten here at the Dana Point location for many years and the food is terrific. It’s a good thing the food is so good because the staff taking your order is very unfriendly and don’t really seem to care about their customers. I have eaten here for lunch 3 days in a row since I am on vacation. Everyday it’s been the same staff and the same lousy service. I would also suggest to the owner to pull all the disclaimer signs you have posted about what you can’t serve or do for your loyal customers. and while your at it train your staff. loyal food lover of your restaurants all over Orange County john

Las Golondrinas OC: Dana Point 12pm Thursday 20th August 2015 Four Stars After being in New York for the past year, Mexican food is the rainbow unicorn of what I want to eat. I had my go-to, 2 shredded beef tacos $ 6. The shell was crispy, the beef was juicy, the lettuce was crisp, and tomatoes were fresh. Everything was delicious. The only down side is that the meat leaks so watch out.

Just had a very unfortunate encounter with this resturante… it had nothing to do with paying the extra dallor for 2 small salsas… though in all the years I’ve been going to bit resturante… I have NEVER paid extra… it was the rudeness of manager ‚…Gloria…who also ‚.not only rude to me but a Mother and daughter left because of her behavior… unprofessional…I then spoke to Elizabeth… General manager about this even of which she said it was their policy… I’ve never understood the policy of Rudeness… I feel there is no consistency in this particular store… I know I,.along with others… will never return to this place… Elizabeth,…did not listen to my complaint… and told me ‚.that’s too bad… maybe you shouldn’t come to this store and go to our other store… and she’s the Supervisor… no…thank you… there’s other Mexican resturantes who were trained good Public Relations… very disappointed!!!

What happened? I’ve always LOVED Las Gol, but today nothing tasted the same. It was bland and greasy and left a really bad taste in my mouth. The taquitos were burned. The rice was even gross. I’m baffled and bummed.

Texas style crispy taco was excellent. Carne Asada quesadilla was also excellent. Cheese enchiladas… Was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. Actually I didn’t even finish it. It was absolutely SWIMMING in grease there was more grease then there was cheese and tortilla !!! The dead giveaway should’ve been the grease that was escaping the container into the tin foil. I will never order those again! Now let’s get to the teenage boy with the no personality and no customer service skills. He looked at me like I was an alien from another planet when I asked for salsa. He’s just mad because he’s got to work the family business during summer break, I’m guessing. I’m hoping that the other locations have better customer service. But I still will never get their cheese enchiladas no matter what location I go to. I gave it 2 stars, one for the taco and one for the quesadilla I had.

They ration hot sauce, so I was stuck with2 small containers for chips, burrito and rice and beans. Expensive and the beef sucks. Bonus, guy sitting outside drinking beer and spitting on himself.

If I could give –5 stars I will. The food sucks and has no taste at all. Sometimes it’s seems like they just overheat it from the nights before, really nasty. On top of that the guy and the teenager that works at the register are so rude, and they have really bad attitude! No HINOTHANKS they just look at you making a face! STAYAWAY.

If I could zero stars I would the girl at the front has no customer service skills, rude … She is so busy talking to her co workers she leave people waiting and standing in front of her. I’m all about family business and moving the Latino culture up but if you hire rude, unfriendly people, there are many chances that you will lose many customers. I don’t give if you give your tacos away, teach your people some customer service skills…

The only reason I come here is for their chips and salsa. Las Gol has two kinds of red salsa. One is firey hot, and the other is mild. The Hot salsa is pure heat, you will surely sweat when you have this. The chips are very authentic too. They are made in-house and have that greasy mexican taste. The guacamole is great also. For my last visit, I ordered two pints of salsa, one pint of guacamole, and a bag of chips. All that for $ 22. That’s what I call splurging. To most folks that’s too high a price to pay for chips and salsa, but for me, i was splurging. I can’t speak for the other things on the menu. The other reviews here are not very favourable.

My co-workers love this place for Taco Tuesdays — I think I missed the memo. They made me the worst Torta I’ve ever had. So sad, so sad. I mean, when your food is bad, sometimes you can make it up in other ways. But no, it’s not clean and it’s not welcoming. Maybe their other food is better, but I won’t be back to try it out.

I used to eat here often — wether in store or take out. Although I’ve been to multiple locations, this one is closest to my house. The food is tasty most of the time. My family likes to order big dishes of enchiladas/burritos/beans/rice on any given weekend for a party. We have never been disappointed when we do so. However, if you go in to have lunch or dinner it is very hit and miss. Some days the food is extremely greasy, sloppy or stale. There is no telling when you’ll get a bad dish. I’m not sure if it has to do with time of day or day of the week. Regardless, I have gone less and less because of the uncertainty of getting a good meal. When the food is good, you will love your order. Their food is filled with flavor and always leaves you satisfied(never the feeling of wanting more to eat). Their chips and salsa are always good, regardless of anything else. If you’re looking for a quick Mexican food dish, try this place out and hope you are there on a good day.

This is mostly for the Capistrano Beach location of Las Golondrinas, but I’ve been to all the locations and they are roughly the same, but this is my favorite location. I am not sure why other than this is the first one I ever tried and I heard about it from fellow surfers. This was the place we’d stop after for a refueling. The food is great, as good as any Mexican food I get in Santa Ana, East LA, Chula Vista and any other place I go to get away from gringo-ized Mexican food. The only two reasons for knocking it down to 4* from 5* is I wish they had more meats(Goat, tongue, etc, but that is a bit too authentic for South OC) and the cost is a bit higher than similar spots, but again, that probably reflects being in South OC and having higher costs. We’ve also been using them for catering for years and they really shine there.

Bottom line at the top: the BEST chips and horchata ever! The tacos are really good but quite messy. – Our friend who lives in Laguna Niguel brought us here when we said we had a hankering for tacos. I’m so jelly that this place is insanely close to his house, its soo good. We all had fish tacos(fried) but I also had a shredded beef on a crispy taco. Everything was delicious. The chips and guac are seriously legendary, probably the best chips I’ve ever had. You must get that. Another thing you must get? A small drink! I usually don’t drink soda/juice/anything hahaha but the whipped horchata is amazing. It comes out of a soda fountain but is soo good. The staff here is patient and very nice!
