Owner from Chicago area, nice guy, nice staff. Great Chicago style cuisine menu, like being in Chicago /​very reasonable prices. Italian Beef /​sweet or hot peppers; excellent Vienna beef hot dog with freshly cut French Fries. Great value.

Tried dinner tonight as something different and new. Was AMAZING. I had the sausage beef combo, my friend had the beef, we split fries.
Go hungry. Really hungry. A lot of great food, great prices, and an owner/​cook who seriously cares. I live close by, and will definitely be back.

Perfect italian beef w sweet and hot! Gyros are too small but great. Much easier to get in and out of than the location would suggest.

Stopped in for lunch the other day and got the Big Italian beef sandwich (wet) with hot Giardiniera and some cheese fries. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. I came with a big appetite, reason I ordered the «Big» Italian beef and while I finished the sandwich I couldn’t finish all of my cheese fries. Great place and friendly staff. Seems to be family owned and operated which is a plus. Looking forward to going back to try the breaded pork loin sandwich.

After driving past this place a ton of times, I finally had a moment to stop in. I extremely mad at myself for taking so long to try this place out. The place seems to be small and personable. I decided on the Italian Beef «wet» and I have to admit, this is the one the best beef sandwich I have tried. I will be definitely making this a regular stop.

I was in the Cape and was looking to find something fast, reasonable, and good. I lived in the Chicago area a long time ago and I have no idea what Chicago beef is. How I missed this is inexplicable!
This sandwich was spectacular! I will make a point of eating here every time I am in the area!

Having grown up as a Hoosier with hog farm roots, I can truly savor a genuine pork tenderloin sandwich. Consequently, when I bit into this huge sandwich, I knew I had found the original «pork tenderloin». The quality meat was tenderized right in front of me. I folded the large edges in under the bun and proceeded to indulge myself.
French fries were nicely seasoned.
Staff and owner are down to earth, conversationalists (owner’s daughter left in charge). Owner showed up a little later and said they have been open 6 months. Quality meats are key to his business.
Nice little alcove outside with umbrella tables to eat in. Very clean.
Plan to bring my Midwestern relatives over ASAP.

Here is my 2 cents on the food. Good food good value. I got the pork tenderloin sandwich. WOW it was cooked to perfection and was TWICE the size of the bun. Excellent for the wallet and tummy.
I also got a italian beef to go. MMMMM meat was a plenty, it was moist and tender. Delish flavor.
French fries also good. Not plain a added flavor so it was tasty.
So for easy on the wallet good for the tummy come on down.

Great Chicago Style hot dogs, fantastic fries and Gyros too. Staff is always great, place is always clean, don’t miss stopping here when your in Cape Coral.

Eating here for the first time and it’s amazing! Had the breaded pork loin sandwich and the special of the day which was a beef tenderloin sandwich with a horseradish mayo. Wow!!! So good!!! Will definitely be back. So many more items I want to try!

This place sits in a little, mostly vacant strip mall along Santa Barbara Blvd.; you have probably passed it many times and didn’t even know it existed. It has a small understated sign this simply reads «The Beef Guy». I had passed it three or four times a day for a few months and I always assumed it was a butcher shop, until one Saturday when I decided to stop in to buy some steaks, little did I know I was in for a pleasant surprise!
As I opened the door and realized this was no butcher shop I began to turn around and walk out, but I was pleasantly greeted and asked if they could help me. I begin to have a conversation with a the owner of the establishment and he explained to me that he was an authentic Chicago style restaurant. Having spent a couple of years working in the heart of Chicago, my first question was «do you make a good Italian beef sandwich?» He responded that that was his specialty. I was skeptical because I tried many other so-​called Chicago style restaurants and delis over the years here in Florida, it always got the same result which was not quite authentic Chicago. The owners passion had me curious so I ordered an Italian beef sandwich.
I sat down at a table and waited for my sandwich to be prepared. The dining room is small only six or seven tables. The walls are decorated with Chicago sports memorabilia, similar to the sign outside, quite understated. Little did I know I had just found my new go to place.
They brought my sandwich to the table dipped wet, topped with House made spicy giardiniera. After my first bite the name on the sign made sense, «The Beef Guy», This was the best Italian beef sandwich I ever had, not just in Florida, but ever!
That was about four weeks ago and I’ve eaten there six or seven times since, and honestly each experience has been equally as good. It may not have the best location, and their name and signage might be confusing. But I can promise you this; they make up for it in the quality and flavor of their food.

The name say’s it all! Wonderful establishment to get your beef fix! As I am from Chicago and met Dennis (The Beef Guy) who brought his Chicago heart and soul into his food. The best Italian Beefs, Krono’s Gyro’s and Vienna dogs in the area. If you are seeking a traditional Chicago style beef… I highly recommend The Beef Guy! The beef is very tender and juicy just like back home in Chicago. This is my local great eat place that takes me back 1,400 miles north to Chicago. Class A service with a very inviting atmosphere. Top choice is an italian beef and sausage combo. All natural potatoe fries are a step up an above any competitor! Go try the beef combo with mozzarella and dipped in au jus. Heaven to your mouth!

The Beef Guy is awesome! I had the Lamb Gyro and it was as good as any I have had! The fries are also great — peppery but not too spicy.
Definitely will go back for another lunch! Want to try a hot dog too.

My wife makes me go at least once a week for the beef sandwich.
But, I have also now tried the tenderloin… HOLY MOLY… amazing.
Not to mention they won 2^nd place in that Best Sandwich of SW Florida… and to be honest, I think their sandwich is better than the winner. If you have not checked this place out… do yourself a favor.

Its extremely hard to find good Chicago style food in Southwest Florida. Finally genuine Chicago style Italian beef, hot dogs and gyros! And, they put my favorite, the cheesy beef on the menu! Awesome! You must try it. Hot and sweet peppers, dipped. That’s the way to go!

My family and I ate at the beef guy for the first time tonight. We were extremely satisfied with the staff and the food. The staff is very friendly and the food was cooked perfectly. I will be visiting this restaurant on a regular basis.
