Neuman’s Swing Set Assembly

I ordered a trampoline set that included assembly from Rob Neuman as an early Christmas present. This was a very busy time of the year for him but the project was done before the kids were on break so it was a success. I ordered the trampoline over Black Friday weekend and it was installed within a few weeks. The installation itself went well and everything was perfectly built and works beautifully. He did seem a bit over committed, not unlike the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, however I think this stems from him wanting to do a job right even if it takes a bit longer than estimated. Overall I had a good experience and would recommend him.

I had high expectations of having a smooth project done in 1 day but was disappointed week after week. First off my initial appointment to disassemble-​transport-​assemble swingset was rescheduled due to his error of address for an earlier project on the same day. That’s strike one. He ran late, ok I can live with that BUT it shows a lack of professionalism or respect for his clients time. Swingset is delivered but I need to order the hardware to ensure safety of the playset. He graciously gets on the phone & charges it to his credit card because after all he had to reschedule my initial appointment & ran late. Great! I was starting to feel better. Two days go by & no word from him so I start texting. A week into it he receives the hardware & scheduled to assemble our playset after week 1 of delivery. The day comes to assemble & his car breaks down. All week I had been texting him for updates otherwise was not getting any info on status of assembly. I learn about the car breakdown at 9:30am after he was supposed to be there at 9am. Strike 2.
Another week of daily texts to find out what’s going on. Meanwhile my toddler asked me everyday when we can assemble his swingsetz.
Almost another week goes by until the next scheduled day. Running late again then a no show & now there’s no response to my calls or texts. Strike 3. Two days go by & I google his number to get an email address & email him. Got call that day about coming out the next day since his phone was not working.(so he claimed.) After 3weeks of waiting for this guy he assembles the playset after he arrives 1 ½hours late due to traffic. Unprofessional. He missed screwing in one side of the picnic table & seemed overall in a rush. Then he wants to charge me for the hardware he agreed to buy.
This guy is unprofessional, flakey, and a poor communicator. The work is decent but I would have rather struggled with reassembling the swingset myself, even if it would have taken me a week, but not 3 weeks. Take your business elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend him to my friends.
