I used to drive to Van Nuys to take my pets to an honest competent and reasonably priced vet. In an emergency situation with an elderly cat «Si» (Osiris), I listened to the advice of a friend who raved about Dr. Ron and ran in to the Clinic with my very sick pet. Initially it looked like he had a dangerous urinary blockage.
The office was busy that morning but Dr. Ron stepped out and took a quick look, saw the crisis and put us into a room. He had Shahan prepare for treatment and taking tests while he was busy with other pets. Shahan was so gentle and kind with my boy. Dr. Ron was able to work with us, care for his other patients and diagnose the problem with Si, with the help of Shahan.
I was so stressed out, thinking that I’d have to say goodbye to my cat that morning. He was howling with pain and absolutely miserable. Instead, Dr. Ron diagnosed the real problem, made him comfortable. Ultrasound, a few injections and Subcutaneous fluids. He found that my boy had compacted his bowels not drinking enough water, created a urinary infection and was running a fever.
Dr. Ron and Shahan taught me how to give Si Subcutaneous fluids and sent me home with everything I needed. No more dry food for that kitty! Canned food, pumpkin purée and pure fish and chicken along with the medication from Dr. Ron and he was back to healthy within the week.
Since that first visit, Dr. Ron has helped us with all of our pet illnesses or injuries including a paralyzed Dachsund (got him as far as he could with traditional treatments then referred us to his amazing Acupuncturist.) Buck the Dachsund is just fine now, incredible!
Honest, affordable, knowledgeable and compasionate — you are given treatment options and Dr. Ron and his team get behind you and support the treatment path you choose for your pet.
Dr. Ron is open to alternative therapies including Acupuncture, Laser, etc.

I can’t even put into words How Amazing Dr. Ron and His Staff are. I have a American Staff Pitbull and he suffers from severe allergies. Dr. Ron has been the only one that is able to treat it right. I am beyond grateful for him and his entire staff. The technician is absolutely amazing and the receptionists are so kind and very welcoming. I would not go anywhere else but here. Thank you Dr. Ron for caring so much about everyone’s pets.

It is very easy for a veterinarian to take care of the pets. Taking care of the anxious and often emotional owners isn’t part of the job. The staff at Sierra Veterinary Clinic are amazing and I felt like I was taken care as well as my very sick dog. The human/​owner bond is as important to them as the care and wellbeing of the pets that come thru their front door. Being that I have a background in veterinary medicine, I’m a tough critic. I can say, I was very pleased with everyone and my experience from start to finish.
I called the clinic concerned about my vomiting dog. The receptionist, Shayla, scheduled me an appointment immediately that morning. I arrived with a very lethargic and painful dog. They put me into a room immediately and the technician, Shahan, came in right away. He was kind and gentle with me, the emotional pet owner, as well as my dog. Dr Ronny came in almost immediately. He too was kind and gentle with both of us. He did a very thorough examination of her. When he was done, he told me he thought my dog had pancreatitis and should be hospitalized with IV fluids and injectable medications. He was very honest that her condition was grave and that bloodwork and X-​rays would need to be done in order to confirm pancreatitis. So I left her there to be treated.
I was called by Christina 2 times during the day with updates on her condition. I declined to transfer her to an overnight emergency clinic and instead take her home with me. Dr Ronny sent me home with everything necessary and well as his personal cell number. He called me to check in at about 9 pm that evening and told me to call him regardless of time if her condition deteriorated during the night. I received a text message from him first thing the next morning at 7 am to see how she was.
Needless to say, it was pancreatitis and my dog is still with me thanks to Dr Ronny. I felt like I received top notch veterinary care. I continued to get follow up calls inquiring about how she was doing long after it had been obvious she was well and going to recover completely.
Not that expense was a concern to me but for everything that was done over the course of 2 weeks, Iv fluids, hospitalization, X-​rays, ultrasound, recheck bloodwork, medications, I felt my bill was very reasonable. I also don’t feel that any extraneous things that might make a bill out of this world were done.

The best vet in LA. Very knowledgeable and experienced, very honest, very affordable, and his staff are the most elite. I’ve been going here since we moved to canyon country and he has helped both of my dogs enjoy their lives more by being healthy. The team goes beyond what any clinic would do and I have seen vets across the country over the past 11 years that don’t compare. The best.

Dr. Ron is very knowledgeable and compassionate! I have been to this place a several times now n i only have good things to say about this place. He has the answer to all my problems and more. My dog was overdue for her shot n also had a licking problem so i took her in. Dr. Ron did a thorough exam n told me his diagnoses n gave me the solution to my problem with my dog. He also lent me a cone head (for free) to prevent her from licking herself. I am so happy to have found this place and it’s a relief to have someone like dr. Ron as a vet! I would highly recommend sierra vet clinic to all the readers out there.

I have had a lot of experience with veterinary hospitals and this one surpasses any experience i have had times a thousand. Dr. Ron is a real person with great vibes who really cares about you and your babies. The staff is also extremely helpful when you are scared and need to know every detail of what’s going on. I cannot say enough about this place, and i have recommended them to many of my friends and they never disappoint!

After reading the great reviews, I decided to take my dogs here. The wait was over 15 min (not exactly sure of the time spent waiting after that 15 min) and the receptionist was extremely rude (was not friendly). Once we finally got into the examining room, there was dried blood drips all over the floor. The doctor came in and was very arrogant and the whole visit seemed more like a sales pitch (insurance and dog food) instead of a knowledgable discussion (which I asked multiple questions and the answers that I was given were not helpful and I even asked the questions again hoping to get a clearer answer). He barely looked at my dogs and then said «okay then, any questions?» When he didn’t even give my dogs an acceptable examination. I gave up and told him that I had no more questions. I was lead back out into the waiting room where the receptionist had vanished. I was waiting for 10 min to pay for the visit, then another customer came out of another room and the receptionist asked me if I minded if she rang him up first even though I had been waiting. (The other customer entered the store after me and was not putting a dog to sleep) I told him that he could go first because I have manners. There was also a cat loose in the waiting area and my dogs do not like cats, which was a nightmare. I love all animals and support taking in animals in need, but it is not necessary to have them roaming around the waiting room when other pets may not be comfortable. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to someone I don’t like. Horrible experience. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism in my life! This review is honest to my experience, this was the first time I went to this location. After about 25 min of this I just wanted to get out of there to find another vet because I knew I was not going to return. I can receive rude comments from the doctor (which is proving my point), but I was extremely disappointed and this is a location where people can post their experiences in businesses whether they are positive or negative.

I Believe Dr. Ron deserves 10 Stars! Absolutely amazing vet and such honest and fair pricing. You can tell Dr. Ron really cares about you and the animal and is not just there to try to nickel and dime you. We love Dr. Ron and his practice has been a life saver to our dog Porshy. Highly recommend Dr. Ron and Sierra Veterinary Clinic to everyone who wants their pets to have the best.

The whole staff at Sierra Veterinary Clinic is amazing! They are compassionate, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make me and kitty feel at ease. Its always a friendly atmosphere and I know I’m always getting an honest opinion. Dr. Ron is one of the smartest doctors I know, I’ve been to a couple of vets in Santa Clarita and he has shined through them all. Every time I go in I feel like I’m seeing old friends, such a great feeling when you and your pet are already stressed out being there. I also can’t say enough great things about Dr. Ron and his WHOLE staff. He is always very honest and tends to try least invasive solutions first. (obviously that is less expensive as well). I don’t want to start a Unilocal war, however I read a review that suggested the Doc might be violent against animals. My little boy Capone (mixed chi/​mutt) has been sick with some stomach/​acid reflux things the last several weeks. He won’t eat, walk or really move much in the am usually. This happens 2−3x a week. This morning he was like that. I made an appt. and said to Capone, wanna go to see Dr. Ron? He walked to the car, jumped in and was on the floor till we got there. The second I opened the car door, he jumped out, ran to the door of the Vet and was so happy and excited to be there. I know, boring right? But if my dog was mistreated ever… He would not want to go near a place or person that abused him. He was a rescue and does not trust everyone.
Maybe some people don’t understand good advice or get offended if it suggested how to treat or handle your pet. I get it. But, if you want a great Dr, that is very honest and fair with a great staff… Go to Sierra Veterinary Clinic and see for yourself… Please post and let me know what you think.

Dogs and Cats need someone who really cares for them. Along with great owners are great veterinarians. I can’t help but tell a great pet owner how much I appreciate their compassion. There comes a time when things that people do go a long way for people they have done things for. Day in and day out I see Dr. Ron and how genuinely compassionate he is when trying to make our furry friends stay healthy. He gives honest and caring advice. He is a true Veterinarian. Everyone that knows him always tells me how much they like him. If you’re looking for a great veterinarian, one that does not give false/​misleading information, a vet that loves to give his time to his clients, and also a vet that you would want to see again without a doubt, visit Dr. Ron at Sierra Veterinary Clinic.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Ron and his staff. We had used the same vet in Saugus since 1996. We took our Malamute/​Husky mix to our regular vet and they suggested we put him down. He was not an old dog and previously healthy. We took their advice and he is gone. It left us feeling unsatisfied in the care he received.
My son had taken his dog to Dr Ron and he raved about how wonderful he is. We took 2 of our 3 dogs to see him and we found him to be personable, attentive, knowledgeable, understanding and honest. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of his services.
I was most impressed how he gave us so much information on the condition of our dogs and his recommendations.

Dr. Ron is the best vet!!! He is so compassionate and caring! He truly loves what he does and it really shows! He has helped my sister and I with our Shih Tzu and doesn’t over charge. Most recently my Shih Tzu got into some turkey bones and threw up a large piece of the bone. Our dog started acting strange and we immediately called Dr. Ron’s office for an appointment. However, his receptionist told us they didn’t have anything available until the next day, so we started to call other offices. Within minutes, Dr. Ron’s receptionist called us back telling us that he had consulted with Dr. Ron and that he had said it was too serious and for us to come into his office immediately! We went in and he saw our dog almost immediately! Fortunately, our Shih Tzu had passed the rest of the bone and he was going to be alright! We absolutely love Dr. Ron and won’t go anywhere else!

Just a note to let you know this Dr and his team are so kind and comforting to our dogs and us. You ask a question, you get an answer you can understand. You call with a question, its answered. Prices are reasonable, Really you’ll feel like family.

Chose this place after a very bad experience with another clinic. Researched the Unilocal reviews first when I finally made my choice. They gave me a great first visit discount and didn’t even need to sedate my cat for x-​rays, which my other vet did wanted to do. The Vet is very knowledgeable on all natural diets and was supportive of my decision of changing to organic cooked home meals. He even gave me some pointers. Great place!

I have no words… They are so caring, lovable … Just great with animals. We took our new girl Matty yesterday we where told we had been there before and just wanted an update on her. The front desk girl was not only sweet and very willing to help us and make sure we get all the info we needed but also was very patient with us and specially with Matty. We just adopted a 20 months beautiful Pyrenees mix girl and the most wonderful part of our visit was seeing how everyone in this clinic treats every animal. The vet came and had a chat with Matty, then they took her to have a test done and they treat her will patient and love. Definitely coming back for all of Matty’s needs!!!

Best vet I’ve ever interacted with. Before Dr. Ron came I saw Dr. Gardner & thought nobody would ever compare! I was wrong! Dr. Ron is amazing! The front office staff, Lillie & Shayla are also amazing! You immediately know they are all extremely committed to making sure your furry babies receive the best love & care available! I’ve never been to a more well-​run vet office with more sincere & caring staff! Recently their computers were down when I visited and even though they were backed up a little they apologized profusely & somehow managed to provide exceptional care in this technology-​run world where most businesses would have completely fallen apart! I’m AMAZED & genuinely grateful! Yes! Their prices are exceptional but even if they weren’t, Sierra Vet Clinic is my only choice to take care of my furry babies!

I’m so happy I found Dr. Ronny and this clinic! We have had critters for years and they are most definitely family to us. We moved to Santa Clarita a couple years ago and I was fortunate enough to have found Sierra Vet Clinic on my first try.
I’ve brought all of our pets here for both routine check-​ups /​shots as we’ll a health issues. I ALWAYS get the most outstanding service from the amazing, friendly, and courteous staff.
They also always are able to get us in right away and their pricing is very good. Their location is extremely convenient for us.

If you are looking for talented veterinarians who will accurately diagnose and treat your animal for a reasonable price, look no further. As a licensed Medical Technologist, I continue to be impressed by both Dr. Ram’s and Dr. Ron’s diagnostic skills in accurately diagnosing and treating my Australian terriers’ medical conditions.
Recently, Dr. Ram accurately diagnosed and successfully treated my female Australian terrier for aspiration pneumonia which had previously been misdiagnosed as another condition by another vet.
Most recently, I brought my male Australian terrier in to Dr. Ron’s clinic during an Addison’s crisis. As soon as I entered the clinic, Dr. Ron immediately approached and inquired, «is everything ok here?» When apprised of my dog’s symptoms, he immediately examined him and, prioritized his condition as a medical emergency. He took immediate action to preliminarily diagnose and stabilize my dog, and in doing so, literally saved my dog’s life.
Having said that, superior diagnostic and treatment skills typically don’t come prepackaged with shoulders to cry on. So, if you are looking for sympathy, go see your mother, but, if you are looking for results from a veterinarian who can quickly and accurately diagnose and effectively treat your animal’s medical condition the first time –thus saving valuable time and $- look no further.
Sierra Veterinary Clinic’s fees are surprisingly reasonable compared to other vets in the area. To accommodate their clients’ budgets, prior to performing laboratory testing or clinical procedures, they preauthorize a preliminary estimate of necessary procedures and testing and explained the purpose of each test and procedure. They have never made any attempt to upsell me on unnecessary products and services.
These veterinarians truly care about their clients’ animals as evidenced by the fact that, unlike many other veterinary clinics, time and again they have proven that they prioritize the health of their clients’ animals in a crisis first, and worry about payment later.
