Scissor Wizard

I was new to the area and desperately needed a haircut, so I went here, unfortunately.
Even though i came a few minutes early for my appointment, the lady who cut my hair was constantly rushed and saying she can’t blow dry or do much else cause of time constraints.
Unfortunately this was one of the worst haircuts I’ve had in a long time and my hair is not complicated… straight shoulder length hair! She gave me very poorly done layers and it looks overall uneven.
I wish the lady would not have acted so rushed and would have taken an extra 5 mins to get the job done well, but unfortunately she didn’t.
I do not recommend this place.

Leigh was really nice and did a thorough job going over my naturally curly hair. The place is also bright and clean.

I’d been getting my haircuts at the same place for a year until a few months ago. My first attempt at getting a haircut in Canton was at a sort of budget salon/​barber shop, to avoid naming names. The cut was okay, but for my next haircut I looked at reviews and decided to check out Scissor Wizard!
I’m really glad I did. I didn’t schedule an appointment (which I don’t think is necessary, but still), went there around 6 PM and got a hairstylist almost immediately.
I showed Tami a picture of what I wanted and what I wanted different. She talked about what I wanted with me and although I was confused at certain points during the conversation, I somehow felt confident that she knew what she was doing and trusted her. She was friendly and chatted with me while snipping away, stopping frequently to explain what she was doing and ask me questions. I’m completely clueless about hair, so most of the time it came down to whether or not I wanted it shorter.
Apparently, the previous hairstylist that cut my hair did some wacky thing with layers that was difficult for Tami to undo while still keeping the length that I wanted. However, when she finally turned me around to show me the back of my head I was so pleased! It wasn’t an exciting haircut or anything, but somehow it felt just like finding a cute, super-​comfortable pair of shoes that fit me perfectly.
Tami gave me some styling advice and rang me out. It ended up being $ 30 (I think that was for a cut and style, since I’d washed my hair just before coming in). I never know how much to tip hairstylists, but Tami handled my incompetence very professionally. :)
Really pleased with my experience here, and I will definitely be going back when I next need a haircut!

Scissor Wizard is AWESOME.
I went online looking for reviews for a hair salon near my new home. There weren’t many reviews, but I since I’d met a hairdresser from Scissor Wizard, I gave them a try first.
I am SO pleased I did!
I needed the works — new cut and color and brow wax. The cut and color and wax were all perfect. And the hairdresser I got was the same one I’d met a month before! Tammy was awesome. The owner, Molly, also helped Tammy and I choose the right shades of red for my hair as well as helping us choose a new cut for me to play up my curls.
The salon was warm and welcoming and the entire staff knowledgeable and professional. Would I go there again? Really the question should be why would I go anywhere else?
