Welcome to Roholt Vision Institute, the premier Lasik center in Ohio. We are dedicated to advanced laser, surgical, and medical eye treatment with locations in Canton, Canfield, and Alliance, Ohio. We specialize in vision correction surgery including LASIK, phakic lens implants (Visian ICL™), and presbyopia implants. Roholt Vision continues to be the leader in refractive, cataract and implant surgeries in Northeast Ohio.

History

Established in 2001.

Dr. Roholt began his career in 1984 with the intention of building the premier refractive surgery/​lens implant practice in the Midwest. He began performing RK for myopia in 1985, while perfecting his general eye surgery skills. Dr. Roholt has been at the vanguard of refractive surgery advancements in the United States. He was the first in Northeast Ohio to perform ALK for myopia and hyperopia in 1993 and received a national award for his study of corneal lamellar surgery in 1995. He was an invited speaker concerning Ultrasound testing for the Visian ICL™ at ESCRS in Sweden in 2006

Dr. Roholt formed Roholt Vision Institute (RVI) in 2001. His role in RVI is to continue the advancement of quality refractive, LASIK, lens implant and cataract surgery.

Dr. Roholt along with Meagan Celmer, M.D., Brian Mathie, O.D., and Nicholas Lawrence, O.D. are committed to providing quality service and outcomes to all their patients.

Business Owner

Philip C. Roholt, MD received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Minnesota. His ophthalmology residency was at the University of Florida. He was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1985 and was one of the first ophthalmologists in the country to be certified in the subspecialty of cataract/​lens implant surgery (1989) and refractive surgery (1995) by the American Board of Eye Surgery (ABES). In March 2000 he received certification by the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance (CRSQA), and most recently received LASIK certification by the American Board of Eye Surgery. He is the ONLY surgeon in Ohio to be LASIK certified by CRSQA, and the only eye surgeon in the country to be TRIPLE certified by ABES (lens implant, incisional refractive, and LASIK).
