To be honest, I expected to be underwhelmed, but I am happy to be proven wrong! I am a supporter of downtown Canton businesses and had heard nothing, good or bad, about this restaurant. We visited on a First Friday, which has to be the busiest night of each month in Downtown Canton. It was comfortably full, with live music, and a happy, comfortable feel. The staff was busy, yet everyone seemed happy. Our waitress was very good, keeping us informed of the status of our order, and apologizing for a kitchen delay, even offering to comp one of our meals, which we declined since she had been so up-front with us about the delay. My scrod and hubby’s pork chop were very good. Clean restaurant located a few blocks out of the arts district, but worth a visit. I hope you will be pleasantly surprised, like we were.

Maybe caught them on a bad night but dinner was not at all good. I had the pork chop with Memphis blueberry sauce. I had to send the first one back, it was raw. The second one was nicely cooked but no hint of seasoning and the sauce was tasteless and it was blackberry. I would guess the mashed potatoes were at least a week old and no hint of seasoning. Dinner was served with a couple of asparagus spears that were grilled, although they were not seasoned either they were cooked properly. Salad consisted of a «bagged mix» in a bowl, very uninspired. Service was good and the prices are reasonable(had the meal been prepared properly.

Cool joint in downtown Canton one block off the square. Surprisingly good menu, a strong wine list that covers all the bases(W: $ 15 – 20; R: $ 17 – 50) and fantastic waitstaff. Back area had a band playing that was really strong. 35−40+ mixed professionals/blue collar crowd. Definitely more chill than partiers — which suited me and my gang just fine. I’d recommend it as a good place to put on your rotation to grab some great food, hang out with some friends and drink a bottle of wine or a few cold beers. Canton needed a place like this!
