Although I am not a donut connoisseur per se, I have eaten my share of them in my lifetime. I grew up eating donuts from Johnnys Pastries in Massillon and unless something has radically changed in the last couple months about the way they make donuts, they remain the benchmark by which I judge other donuts. And Mary Ann’s compare very well. I prefer cream and jelly filled donuts, and Mary Ann’s are yummy. They are always fresh, the cream filling is light and plentiful, the jelly is sweet and tastes of actual fruit, and there are no large portions of dry pastry left wanting for filling. If I lacked self control, I would eat a couple every day!
