LUV Manicures And Pedicures

I had the worst experience at this place. I was given a new nail technician who seemed as if she never had any training being that she had trouble just clipping my nails. Needless to say, my pedicure and manicure turned out horrible. My shellac ended up caked up on a couple of my nails and then they tried to charge me $ 68!!! I refused to pay that so the girl brought it down to $ 51 which was still a joke. I was given a gift card for Christmas which they swore was empty and had been used at an earlier date when later I was told they had trouble loading some gift cards. The manager never returned my phone call. I will never return to this place. They should be doing their clients much better, especially at the prices that they charge. I feel like when a nail tech is new, you should inform the client and let that client choose if they want to proceed with a new tech, especially when providing a personal service. I wouldn’t even give LUV one star.

I recently moved to the area and am familiar with LUV salons in other locations. I have been to the Rochester location and have had all great experiences. Since I trust LUV, I made an appointment on Friday for a manicure and pedicure. I was disappointed from the moment I walked in the door for my 2:00pm appointment. Even though I called ahead, I did not begin my pedicure until 2:45pm at which time my feet were completely wrinkled in the water. While waiting 45 minutes, I witnessed VERY unprofessional staff talking about shifts, tips and handing around cash IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. I did not leave until 4:30pm. After sitting in this salon for 2.5 hours I had enough. I will not be returning to this LUV location. I was VERY disappointed and have lost trust in the LUV brand.

I’m a little surprised at the negative reviews here. I’ve been here many times and I’ve always left satisfied. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than five minutes max. The receptionists have always been polite. Sometimes I may get a technician who might complain about something, but whatever, it doesn’t bother me. They are generally very nice gals and they give good pedicures. My toes look great for at least four weeks. I had bought the tools for them to keep on location, but I kept forgetting to tell the techs and they never ask so eventually I asked if I could just take them home. No problem. I’ve been going for a couple of years now and I’ll continue to do so.

This morning I was a new client… and I’m positive this will be my only time here. Upon checking in, I sit and wait for my technician. For 15 minutes I listened to the respite it’s throwing a fit about the schedule. Many comments about people being stupid and not knowing how to do their jobs.
The music was all ghetto and rap, not relaxing by any means. Biblical preaching and scripture is no something I want to listen to while away from my children trying to relax.
My nail girl was nice. She did what I came in for. I think $ 19 is a bit much for a file down and repainted.
I almost walked out and I probably should have. But I was leaving for vacation the very next day. I won’t go again and wouldn’t recommend them.

My friend and I were in the area on Thursday and had previously talked about how we both wanted our nails done within the week and coincidentally we were stuck in that lovely Canton traffic and looked up and we were right next to the complex Luv is in. So we talked about it for a second and decided to drop in to check out the menu and possibly make an appointment. When we walked in immediately we were greated and blown away with how beautiful, elegant, and professional the salon was. The staff was helpful and we made our appointments for today together. She got a full set put on by Elaine and I had a mani/​pedi by CeCe [sorry for any misspellings!]. She loved the ombré and the acrylics that went over her entire nail not just the plastic piece that are glued on the covered. And I got such great treatment and am ecstatic that I was able to talk and hold a conversation with my artist at a nail salon! Very personable, comforting, and overall just fantastic staff. My friend and I both walked out more than pleased and huge compliments and praises to both Elaine and CeCe. You ladies are fabulous as well as the Luv Salon as a whole. We abolsutely WILL be loyal and continous customers to the salon and won’t be going anywhere else!

With all of the bad reviews, I was a little skeptical to try this place. My appointment was for Saturday at 10. I showed up a little bit before 10. I was «greeted» by a woman behind the counter to told me to sign in on the computer. I successfully signed in and waited 15 minutes before the technician saw me. I don’t recall her name. She was nice enough and trimmed my nails, polished them and filed down the callouses on my heals. The pedicure was supposed to include some type of massage, but there really wasn’t much of one.
After all of the above, I sat with my feet under the drier for about 10 minutes. The technician said she would come back to check on me but I believe she had another client and wasn’t able. It wasn’t a problem, I just didn’t feel like waiting.
My biggest issue was with the service at the desk. The staff person was iritated I had come to pay my bill and complained how tired she was and frustated she was at the other staff. Completely not appropriate. I understand we all have bad days but when staff complain about other staff in front of a customer, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. She was so busy complaining she didnt’ have time to say «thank you» or «come again».
There are plenty of nail salons in the area. I don’t think I will be back. Not because of the service, but because of the attitude.

My experience at LUV was surprisingly fantastic. I was initially greeted by a friendly receptionist and clean reception area. There was a large selection of polishes to choose from, and I was seated soon after I arrived. Walk-​ins are welcome, but I has an appointment.
The person working on my pedicure was thorough; it didn’t feel rushed like it tends to at a lot of places. She did a great job, and even asked me about my desired nail shape, which is rare with pedicures. The shaping was exactly what I asked for and the polish was smooth and perfect. Exact same treatment with my nails, and just as good.
I have to say, I do love the massage chairs. They’re commonplace in nail salons now-​a-​days, but I appreciate them all the same. The televisions were all playing HGTV, which may annoy someone that dislikes the network, but I enjoyed it. The playlist in the store was a good mix of nostalgia and neutral pop.
LUV is on the expensive side in my opinion, but it seems to be pretty worth it for this location. I’ll be coming back!

I’ve always had a great experience at Luv. I treat myself to pedicures and try to go to Luv if time allows since it’s always such a nicer experience than the local store I go to. You can pay the same as the other stores or allow addtl. Spoiling and pay some extra. Always friendly and even though they do accept walk-​ins i call ahead since I don’t want to not be serviced in case it is overbooked!
I noticed they upgraded the dryer section and the tiles look a little dangerous installed to me but i’m sure they’ll work on updating them soon so they won’t fall onto somebodies feet. I live this place :)

I have had great experiences here, and one not so great, but it had to do with the individual, not the business itself.
The pedicure area is super comfy and always clean. Unlike some other places (Indigo) the chairs are comfortable and adjustable, and have massage functions. Lots of tvs in case you would rather catch up on some HGTV than chat. I always get the Lotsa Hotsa Pedi which includes a hot oil massage and steamy towels. And Sarah does a fantastic job getting my feet nice and silky smooth.
I also come every two to three weeks to have my gel polish changed. Again, as long as you get the right person (go for Sarah!) I have had wonderful experiences and my nails are finally a decent length due to the fact that they don’t chip and rip with the proper application of the polish. They have TONS of colors, everything new, and the classics as well.
I allow about an hour for gel polish, if you want it done right — which includes the removal of the previous polish — which can take up to 10 minutes — and shaping and cuticles. The full-​blown pedi is about an hour, or more, depending on how much work needs to be done. I usually try to schedule so that I don’t need to rush.
You can buy your own set of tools that they will keep on site that only get used by you, which is nice.
I have been to some other places, and I return again and again to LUV — and Sarah!

I couldn’t decide if I should give this place 1star or 2 stars??? I took my daughter and her bridal party here, the day before the wedding. We had appointments and none of us got to sit near eachother, even though I told them that I was the «Mother of the bride»! They were kind enough but it was pretty boring when I was spending all of this money… I had hoped to make some memories with my daughter & the wedding party. By the way, they nickel and dime you to death with every little glimmer, glitter, mark, dot or artistic measure that they do! It’s $ 6 xtra for them to put a white line on your nail as in «French» mani! I went in there telling «Shirley» that the wedding colors were navy and silver and she did that to my nails**(see photo) … It looked like I had dirt under my nails and I had to pay 25.00 plus 5.00 tip fir that! I had no time to re do my nails and I was and still am very disappointed!
Before I left, I was hanging out over where my daughter was and I told the employees at Luvs that I was «unhappy with my manicure and it looked like I had dirt under my nails». I let them know that I didn’t like it but BAMM. SHIRLEY was GONE! Must’ve gone to lunch as they told me «she stepped out»…
Well, I just wanted people to know how I felt about the experience. I also felt that my daughter, the bride, was exploited as far as it cost 50 $ for her French manicure with a few little pearly beads on her ring finger that fell off in 2days! She had a pedi also but like I say, none if us were together and had I known, I wouldn’t have wasted my money!

I’ve been here about 5 times and I think this was my last. Looks great when you walk in the door. Girls at desk are snobs. Prices are high for a poor value, I’ve never been amazed by how they’ve done my nails or toes. French lines are never straight, if you get gel polish it is always bumpy and lumpy and looks awful. I am convinced the workers have little to no training and were just thrown on the floor. The 2 things that really really bother me about this place, are that I have never walked out in under a hour. I usually just want a basic manicure with gel polish– no extra t.l.c just basically cuticles cut and stuff. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes when walking in, but I never EVER leave at a decent time. It says a basic should be 25 minutes but for some reason it always takes them an hour. It is so annoying. The other thing that really bothers me about this place, is that it seems EVERY person in the place does not like the people that they are working with. The nail «techs» talk crap about their co workers to me while they are doing my nails. Even one time, one of the girls from the desk came to my «tech» and told her she had an appointment, so my «tech» swore a bunch under her breath right in front of me and then went to another «tech» to tell her about it and spent 5 minutes doing that.

Very disappointed. They suggested the medium priced pedicure and lowest price manicure as I only had 90 minutes. The manicure was done at the chair where my feet were soaking. I had to cross my body so the girl could do the far hand instead her moving to the other side. Didn’t get any color but was going to pay for French toe nails. The paint job was the WORST French I’ve ever had. And she went well over trying to fix what she was clearly unable to do in the first place. The only good thing was they didn’t charge me. I will never go back.

The Canton LUV is an aesthetically pleasing nail salon that provides standard nail services. The nail technicians are good at their job and the massage chairs are great. I particularly love the clean, modern aesthetic of the décor.
The LUV chain provides three levels: the «basic» mani-​pedi is $ 35 and includes nail cutting/​shaping and polish in addition to minimal lotion massage and callous removal. It is a relatively fast service. The second tier ($ 49) is closer to what you would get at most salons for a mani-​pedi, with more primping and relaxation.
It’s best to make an appointment rather than to try and walk in.

Sent my wife and daughters there with a gift card for a rare-​for-​them manicure. Unfriendly service and tip mongering. They got gel nails which blistered and peeled immediately. I have to give the manager credit for fixing the situation and having their gels all re-​done, but we won’t waste more money or time here. I expect if they don’t get it together they will be out of business within a year.

I’ve been to this place once and it was eh. I decided to get the ‘standard’ pedi and my service was fine and the one who gave me the service was fine, but why would I pay $ 30 for a service when I could get the same service, PLUS MORE for less at Tic Tac Nails? I wouldn’t. Who in their right mind would ever pass that up? No one. Haha!
The one thing that I didn’t really like about this was that they charged for different levels of pedi’s when you can get everything including in the deluxe pedi for $ 25 at Tic Tac Nails. It just didn’t make any sense to me.
I don’t plan on returning since it’s a huge ripoff. The services aren’t bad, just the prices are.
