History

Established in 2004.

My husband, Tim, has worked on cars since he was growing up in Texas with his family since the 1960’s. They had a farm/​ranch and he was expected to work on and figure out whatever went wrong with the cars and trucks-​even down to the old Ford Tractors that they used on the farm. Diagnostic skills are his specialty. His brother is also a part of this family owned and operated business known as Hickory Flat Hwy Automotive. Tim has worked for almost all of the car dealerships around North Atlanta. He wants to provide Cherokee County an alternative to the Dealerships and the prices that they charge. We don’t work for free, but we do work for about ½ of what the dealers charge. We also have the same diagnostic tools; ie. scanners & smoke tester, etc., that the dealerships have. So, our Philosophy is: If it is not BROKE, we won’t tell you to repair it!

Tim & I were married in 1993. He amazed me when an old VW that I owned blew up while we were dating. He took the motor out and rebuilt it there on a table top and put it back into the car, turned the key and it cranked right up. Wow, I thought, this guy actually KNOWS what he is doing. That was almost 20 yrs ago. He does know motors and the way that everything works with the motor.

I was born and raised about 10 miles from our shop, in Roswell. Tim did not know what to think about a Southern Girl!!! I was my daddy’s ‘wrench monkey’ while I was growing up. I have always loved the smell of a garage…

We are both Old School. Our philosophy has always been– If it is not broken– then DON’T fix it. Also– we always try hard to just Do the Next Right Thing, in whatever we do-​whether for our customers or our family & friends. You can count on us and in today’s world-​that is not as familiar as it should be when dealing with a business.
