History

Established in 1919.

Since 1919, when a group of parishioners organized to find homes for orphans, the agency has grown and multiplied its services. Community Services of Stark County, Inc. is an ecumenical agency that reaches out to everyone in Stark County.

Today our programs and services in nine specific areas are available to all in need, regardless of race or creed. Fees are arranged according to one’s ability to pay and no one in need of assistance is ever turned away because of that individual’s inability to afford services.

We have four sites in Stark County: Canton, Massillon, Alliance and North Canton. This allows the agency to meet individual needs in an efficient and effective manner.

Our counselors also act as advocates to assist clients in obtaining services not available through our agency. If you, or a member of your family, are in need of professional assistance, please contact the agency to arrange for an appointment.
