Bob & Pete’s Floors Inc

I have ordered from Bob & Pete’s when I carpeted my home and had a great experience. I went back when I decided to carpet my porch. We measured the porch and went in and chose the carpet. We were given an estimate of $ 290.00 this included carpet, adhesive and installation. Pete came and measured and had the same measurements we had. The only difference was two transitions that needed to be added. We went in to purchase the carpet as I did before, the sales woman who helped me was not in but I gave my name and a sales woman who was working, said she had my paperwork. We sat down and she gave me an estimate of $ 750.00. I was shocked and said no, I was given an estimate of under $ 300.00. She seemed shocked by this, and said the other saleswoman who was not there must have made a mistake, she was all surprised by it. When I told her I had the paperwork, magically she had my estimate in her stack of paperwork and told me she saw it but thought it was a mistake. She then said wow, maybe your measurements were off, but they were on my estimate as the ones Pete had, then she blamed the previous saleswoman again. I cancelled the project and she was apologetic and promised to tell Pete. I am not upset if there was a mistake, I am upset because the saleswoman acted like my figure was a shocking surprise when she had the paperwork with her. Also, since I have been a previous customer and proved my loyalty by going back, if she told Pete, the owner, I am surprised I didn’t at least receive a call.
