Bennett’s has been on Fulton Road for as long as I can remember. The butchers are friendly and know everything about their meats. I’ve never bought a cut of meat that wasn’t exceptional. I also buy their own-​made seasonings. If you run in close to dinner time you can grab basic items for your salad.
I will admit that I frequent Hever’s Meats more often as it is nearer our home but you cannot go wrong buying meat from Bennett’s.
I love old companies that endure for generations. You just can’t beat them!

In addition to the wonderful fresh cuts of meats by butchers you can talk to and see working, they have a nice little market and a small selection of produce, frozen and dairy items. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Places like this are a throwback.

I come into Canton often to visit relatives. We were having a very special birthday celebration for my wife, so I called Bennett’s and told them we wanted to have a summer barbecue. I ordered a 15 pound Standing Rib Roast — Prime Rib which Bennett’s pre-​seasoned for me. My order was ready and waiting for me when I walked in the door, I was in and out in no time…(of course, I pre-​ordered). We would not hesitate to go back to Bennett’s for our meat. The price was quite reasonable considering the cut of prime rib we received. It grilled up wonderfully and was enjoyed by all.

The friendly staff will help you pick the cuts to get the most for your money. This market is quite a find.

I remember going into Bennett’s when I was a kid – I was barely tall enough to see into the meat case. And it was when their location was up the road on Fulton. This is still, hands down, the best meat store. They have the finest cuts of meat and the butchers are honest-​to-​goodness nice people. What is really great about Bennett’s is they make their own seasoning. It is absolutely delicious on a steak or a burger.
