Alfaro Foxx O & M Salon

Had purchased a GROUPON for a cut, color, highlight, blow out, and style for Alfaro Foxx Salon in Canton. Called to make the appointment and I talked to Otis. Otis was so very nice over the phone and made me feel good about going to this salon. I’ve been looking for a new place to go and hopefully I found it — I was thinking.
The day of the appointment came and so I drove to the Salon which was quite easy to find — I googled a map. It was located in a strip mall and convenient parking right out side of the salon. I walk up to the door and pull the handle and then noticed that there was a buzzer, but the door opened! So, I did not push the buzzer.
Right away the young man at the counter said are you Debbie? I said of course and are you Otis? We had a friendly connection right off the bat. So, he asked me exactly what I wanted and I told him I wanted to be gorgeous! So, he told me my color was too yellow for me and he would like to color my hair brown and then put blond highlights in. Ohhhhhhhhh, this is scarey, but go for it!
My venture at the salon begins! He takes me in the back, I remove my coat and he takes it to hang it up. Then he gives me a robe to put in which I did. I sit down and he starts working magic on me! He first puts a color on my hair, I am thinking my hair has not been brown since I was a teenager! Ugh. I look in the mirror — not bad, I thought it would be harsh, but it wasn’t. So, another young man comes up to me and takes me further in the back by the wash basins. OMG, I fell in love with this person, not literally, but how he washed my hair it was like a massage to the scalp! He took his time and really massaged my scalp. Felt better than anything else that I have experienced in a long time!!!
So, I am back in the chair again. Otis comes back to me and he cuts the hair. After the cut he then puts the highlights in. So, I have foil all over my head and he puts me under the hair dryer for about 20 minutes. The young hair washer man comes back to me and once again takes me in the back — I know what’ going to happen next! Another shampoo — yippee!!! Once again he works his magic fingers all over my scalp — ugh, I think I am in heaven!
He returns me back to the chair and Otis once again comes back to me. My appointment time was 3:00 p.m. and at this time it is close to 5:00 p.m. and they are making me feel special and that only me is important to them! What a way to treat a customer! Otis then styles my hair to perfection.
Okay, so the down lo is the Groupon cost $ 65 and then for a bottle of toner it was $ 30 dollars and then the tip was $ 20 for a grand total of $ 115.00. But, since I very rarely treat myself to pampering it was well worth it. I hope I can go back, I think I will go back, but I have to see how much money the services are without the GROUPON!

If I could give this salon no stars I would. I purchased a groupon for Alfaro Foxx and I was seriously disappointed. I booked my appointment at 5 pm and when I arrived I had to wait about 10 min before anyone even acknowledged me. I was given some paperwork to fill out and about 20 min later a stylist told me he had to finish up another customers cut and then he would be right with me (this was now 30 min after my scheduled appointment). After waiting another 15 minutes, it now being 5:45, and still not having been seen by a stylist, I left.
I will never go back to a salon where I, as a customer, am treated like an afterthought. I was extremely excited to try this salon out because I had heard such great things about it. However, if you do not have enough staff to take on new clients perhaps you should not be selling groupons.
Overall, Poor customer service and time management. Big thumbs down.

I have been to this salon and Mannie has cut my hair numerous times. By far Mannie is the BEST hair cutter and highlight I have ever been to. The salon is comfortable and his business partner Otis also is one of the BEST especially for African American hair. YOU will NOT be disappointed becoming a client based on my personal experience.

This is the 2^nd time I have been to Mannie for a cut, highlight/​color. I am so impressed with him, I can’t think of enough to say. He is professional and very skilled with highlights and color which I have had a lot of trouble with in the past. His cuts are awesome — anyone can tell your hair was done by a skilled professional — your hair will stand out and be noticed! He listens to what you want and will give you something better than you imagined. He will not disappoint you. The salon is beautiful and is run by its owners, Otis and Mannie. Give them a try — you won’t go anywhere else again!
