History

Established in 1993.

A&E has a long rich history that started more than 20 years ago. First named Torres-​Ortiz CPA, the firm operated in the US territory, Puerto Rico. The company helped hundreds of businesses in different industries like Healthcare, Professional Firms, Wholesalers, Retailers, Sub-​contractors, Real Estate Agencies, and others. In 1998, TORRES-​ORTIZ CPA signed an Agreement to served as the Controller of San Juan Health Center, one of the most renown Health Care Facilities (Hospitals) in the Caribbean. Then, in 2007, the company’s offices were relocated to Canton, Georgia where it knows serves the Atlanta area. In 2012 the company gave birth to Dr. Taxes, Inc, a branch that serves the south Georgia area and is located in Moultrie, GA. Today Dr. Taxes is managed by Torres’ son Emmanuel Torres.

Beginnings: Edgardo L. Torres was born and raised in Puerto Rico on Janaury 2, 1969. He got a bachelor’s degree in accounting at the UCB (Central University of Bayamon) and was awarded the Summa Cum Laude honorific distinction. He moved to USA on 2007 where he re-​validated his credentials and kept working as a Certified Public Accountant. Torres brings more than 20 years of experience as a CPA and has helped hundreds of small and medium size businesses overcome many obstacles and be successful on what they do.
