Raised by our sister-​shop in LA, Nathan’s Anthems immediately began raising standards in NorCal by excelling with a great staff who uses great techniques. Billy became a member of The Association of Professional Piercers in 2005 and became an instructor teaching bloodborne pathogens, how infections spread and what we can do to prevent against that. As a member of the APP, we are bound to high standards using only high grade jewelry and modern techniques where most studios in California still use low grade jewelry with poor techniques and out-​of-​date aftercare. We’ve always ‘guaranteed’ our tattoos which means if they need a touch-​up within the first year, we will touch it up for free* (inquire within for specifics)…seeya soon!

Meet the Business Owner

Billy Y.

Business Owner

Billy York was raised in Catasauqua, Pa. After high school, he joined the Army and was stationed overseas in Germany and Saudi Arabia. After the military, he attended Penn State University and graduated with a BS in Business Supply Chain Management.

In the early 2000’s, Billy couldn’t stand the corporate world any longer. He partnered up with his old friend, Nathan, a successful business owner in Los Angeles, with the intention of opening up more «Nathan’s Tattoos» parlours.

Billy dove into body piercing, working constantly to become one of the best in his field. On Sept 30, 2004, Nathan’s Anthems Tattoos opened in Redding, CA. He is now a Red Cross Instructor teaching Bloodborne Pathogens and a member of the Association of Professional Piercers. He attends and participates in many piercing conferences and advanced technique body art seminars such as surface piercing, freehand piercing, genital piercing, single-​point piercing, beading, suspension, branding and scarification.
