The smog inspections were done on the other side of the building which included testing and repairing. Formely owned by Bob Mcwade, a highly respected and liked person for his work at Rocketdyne.

We have been coming to McAuto for years to do our smog. The owner is genuine, helpful and friendly. The service is quick & very affordable. There was a girl that was working there who was horribly rude, lacked customer service, & stole money. The owner had no idea what was happening until a past customer made him aware of it. He fired her & she is no longer there. Definitely bring your car for a smog. If you experienced bad service previously, talk to the owner. He will resolve it and see to it that you get serviced correctly.

This place is great if you need to get a smog check. Family has been coming here for years. This place has been here for 26 years. Super quick and cheap. It’s just a little tricky to find if you’ve never been here. It’s right next to the Jaguar auto body on the west side of Deering (in the back).

BEST SMOG CHECK TEST CENTER IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY! Hands down. I went in with a family friend, who is an auto dealer, time have my car smogged because my registration was due in a few days and the DMV required it. I was worried because I’d waited until the last minute, but he assured me things would be fine; he uses this shop all the time. The shop is IMMACULATE. The service is super FAST and EFFICIENT and the employees are incredibly HELPFUL and KNOWLEDGEABLE. My car passed, no problem. Got home, my smog certificate had already been uploaded to the DMV database. Perfect.
I will always return to this place. There was no wait, the staff was helpful, professional, and friendly, it was cheaper than most places I checked ($ 45), and I was in and out in about fifteen minutes.

Unfortunately my car didn’t pass, but it was still a pretty fast and easy process. The woman was professional and did her thing without too much chatter. There’s a nice couch to sit on and magazines while you wait. Also much cheaper than another place I stopped at on the way. About $ 40 total with taxes and whatnot.

I needed a smog check and my brother-​in law (my mechanic) took me to one of his peeps. It’s kinda hidden in the back of a shop but a very nice man did my smog check and it passed, of course! $ 40 bucks, so If you need a smog check in Canoga Park, check this guy out! I’ll be back in two years!
