Very nice customer service, awesome doctor, i did a good choice for choosing lens crafters for my eyeglasses.

If you have normal vision problems I guess LensCrafters could be ok. Me, I have a condition that really requires the attention of a specialist. But, I didn’t have the money for that at the time so I gave LensCrafters a try. After my eye exam the doctor gave me a sample pair of glasses with the prescription he recommended. I felt like I was walking sideways and when I told him that he said «you will get used to that». I knew immediately that he was unable to get a good reading on me.
Then I thought that if I paid a specialist for the prescription maybe I could get it filled at LensCrafters and still save some money. Big mistake. The glasses I received were worthless. I have to think that as professionals, they had to know that they didn’t know how to fill my prescription. And yet, they said nothing. They took my order and returned a fallible product.

All if a couple hours you can get an eye exam and get a set of specks.
I was to start of by letting you know I did this process with insurance.
My Insurance covers $ 137 on frames. Had an appointment at 12:00, got an eye exam and it was all eye over around 20 mins later. Paid $ 40 I believe to do an eye scan instead of having my eye dilated (didn’t want blurry vision for 2 – 3 hours) this wasn’t covered by my insurance.
After I got my prescription I spent the next couple hours hanging out looking for some new specks. I took polls and everyone weighed in what looked good and what didn’t. A little over an hour after finding frames I got my new glasses with my new prescription. My frames were about $ 165. I did opt for insurance on the frames which was $ 34.99. My total cost was $ 130.99 after my insurance.
If you don’t like your glasses you have 30 days to change your mind.
Overall I had a great experience.

This place is great! Came in to the store in a HUGE rush… Needed to get to work and had no glasses. Arrived 40 min before my appointment and they let me in right away anyways. The doctors and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
After telling them I was in a huge rush everyone stepped in to help.

I scheduled an eye exam here with Eye Exam of California because it’s in-​network for eyemed insurance. It’s convenient to schedule an appointment online via the eyemed web site, but I called the store yesterday because I had some insurance questions that I wanted answered. The staff was really friendly and answered all my questions.
Today I arrived at the Westfield Topanga mall about 30 minutes before my appointment, so I treated myself to a yummy Wetzel’s Pretzel upstairs while waiting.
I walked into LensCrafters about 5 minutes before my scheduled 6 pm appointment, filled out some paperwork, and the waited for about 45 MINUTES. :O Is that a normal wait time, or were they really backed up today?
When it was finally my turn, everyone that saw me was very friendly and provided great service. Dr. Jenny Park gave me a comprehensive eye exam and toric contact lens evaluation, and two assistants (sorry, I forgot their names, a guy and a girl) did some other tests (the air puff in the eye thing, colorblindness test, blood pressure monitoring, etc.)
Dr. Park told me my prescription went up one point and that I could be a good candidate for LASIK. Too bad I’ve already stocked up on a year’s supply of contact lenses in my current prescription, so maybe I’ll finish up my current stock and wait to check out LASIK in two years.
After insurance, I only had to pay $ 50. Score! I need to go back within 6 months for dilation, but there shouldn’t be any additional charge because that is included in the comprehensive exam payment. Just need to remember to wear my glasses for that and to be prepared to have blurry vision for 4 – 6 hours afterwards.
I liked how they got my email address and already sent me a reminder for another appointment in one year.
It was 7:30 pm when I walked out the door, so total time including wait time was 1.5 hours. I dunno if that’s considered long or normal for an eye exam. But all the staff was really friendly, so that totally made up for the wait.

We purchased a pair of sports goggles for my son from the LC store in Santa Monica, CA, $ 300. We bought them one day and came back to pick them up the next, That was just 7 days ago.
Today while my son was getting his gear together for his first varsity game tomorrow, he tried on his new goggles and a lense popped out… Hmm,.He has never worn before-​only tried them on– twice.
We live near the Topanga Canyon LC Store and went there to get them fixed/​adjusted before the game tomorrow…
There at the Topanga Cyn LC store– They said they COULD NOT HELP US… when presented with a receipt from the Santa Monica store on 321 Wilshire Blvd, they said they had never seen a receipt like that before and we needed to call the mgr of the Santa Monica store for help… HUH??Really??The whole point of paying the outrageous prices is that we can go into any of the LC stores and be serviced…
Disappointed, and discouraged with your «customer service», (and your product). Why in the world would something like this happen? Best get your act together LC… there are lots and lots of other fish in the optical sea…

Lens quality is very poor. They gave me the lens with with patches around the frame its too ugly. The price too high compared to other opticals. Think twice to go our there you can buy better lenses in costco in the same building

The people here are nice but the service sucks. They never have enough people working and there’s only one doctor during week days. I came in today to get my contacts approved for prescription (about a five minute process) and I’ve been waiting for over half an hour. I was here promptly on time. I’m on my lunch break from work and am now losing money. Wonderful. Do not recommend.

My old frames broke. They could not be repaired. It was something of an emergency, so I went to Lenscrafters. Lenscrafters claims to be able to make new glasses in an hour. I brought my (2 month old) Rx with me. They COULD NOT make the glasses in an hour. In fact, it took several days for them to make the glasses. However, that was the most minor problem. I could not see out of the new glasses! They have now remade the glasses 3 times. I still cannot see properly out of the glasses and have ‘given up’ on them being able to make useable glasses for me. I ordered a pair (online) using the exact same Rx. Wonderful!
Lenscrafters work is
1. substandard
2. overpriced
3. definitely not as advertised
DON’T USE THIS COMPANY. THE GLASSES COST ALMOST $ 500 AND ARE NOT USEABLE!

Made an appointment for an eye exam and they were under staffed. After waiting 40 minutes, two of us left, and they couldn’t have cared. Please staff appropriately and don’t accept walk ins when your appointment scheduling blocks are full.

Had our eyes checked on this location yesterday and all I can say is the service was awesome from beginning to end.
Susie which was one of the associates was very helpful. She did my 6 year old’s eye exam and she was great with it.
Dr. John Ryu was AWESOME. He was very informative and very honest. I love the fact that even though my 3 kids were with me in the exam room acting rambunctious, he still took his time and explained everything and just said it like it is.
Overall this store didn’t make me feel like they were totally after your money or trying to sell you anything. They totally made us feel comfortable. Totally recommend this location and will totally come back.

Very polite staff. Turnaround time was superb (1 hour). I made an appointment for an eye exam and was seen within 10 min. I also filled out the paperwork beforehand so I wouldn’t be doing it there (sent via email). The frames are pricey. That’s probably the only con I can think of.

The review lens crafters customer service. I went in two weeks ago for an eye exam and was told my glasses would be ready in 7 – 10 days.10 days passed and I gave them a call. After ten minutes on hold I was told they would be ready by the end of the week or the beginning of next week and they would call me. So here I am… waiting for my $ 330 glasses so I decide to call. Another 15 minutes on hold and surprise surprise they’re ready. I get there and I have to wait another 20 minutes for someone to tell me they’ll be with me in a minute. Just give me my glasses people!
The eye exam and selection process was great. I felt taken care of and would recommend that part of the process but the overall experience was lacking.

Staff is very pleasant and professional very knowledgeable and the optometrist Dr Ha is very nice. Selection is many and is also designer brands such as oakleys and ray-​bans. They accept insurance payments which is great. My only gripe about this place is that the styles of glasses they tend to have can be sometimes common and also i had to keep coming back to this place probably 2x to repair 2 different types of glasses i purchased.

This is a very professional place. I have gone here 3 times and every time I have been impressed by how professional their services are. Yeah they are a bit expensive, but who isn’t in the glasses business nowadays. I mean it’s a organized business by you know who, the big owners out of Europe. But they do a very good job, the place is very clean and they have a lab on site which is INCREDIBLY nice if you are in a hurry. I think I will buy from there more. Here goes my cash FAST!

In my experience, this place is HORRIBLE for anything other than an eye exam. You’re better off getting your prescription and then going online with that info to buy glasses. Its MUCH cheaper and easier.
Lens Crafters is a bloated chain of overpriced eyewear with too many stores and not enough emphasis on good training, integrity, and customer service.
I had an eye exam here about 2 months ago to get contact lenses since my glasses broke and I wanted to try contacts out for the first time. The wait was really long, despite few people being there, but the lady who gave me the eye exam was great when I finally got my exam.
However, 2 weeks after that, there was no word from them! I had to call Lens Crafters after 2 weeks to get an update, where they told me ONE lens was ready but the other wasn’t. The guy on the phone gave me a half-​hearted, dismissive «Sorry», and said they were busy (typical L.A. excuse) but they’d call me back in a week with an update.
And now, here I am 2 MONTHS LATER AND I STILL HAVEN’T HEARD FROM THEM AND I DON’T HAVE MY CONTACT LENSES! I refuse to call them for an update and do their job for them. Their customer service awful.
If you’re looking for good service, go to a smaller mom & pop shop.
This is the last time I’m going to Lens Crafters.

Tammy was wonderful and so was the doctor. Very nice staff and conveniently located in the mall so you can go shopping or eat while you wait for your glasses (if just getting lenses).

So lets weigh the good and the Bad of Lenscrafters before we pass judgment.
The Bad
They are pricey, very pricey. For example you start by picking any pair of Glasses you like off their walls. Alot of high-​end designer names. Say the prices are $ 150 for a pair you like. Then add $ 200 to the price of any frame you choose for the total price of the glasses. Depending on how good your insurance is or how blessed you are financially this could be a good or a bad thing. I only put this in the bad section due to the comparison with other optometry’s
The Good
They have an amazing 1 Hour Turn-​around offer on any of the glasses you like. Which means if you are left in an emergency where you sat on your glasses or lost your glasses and you absolultey need to see. Go here and 1 hour later your worries are taken care of.

During my appointment. waited almost 3 hours just so the optometrist can tell me to come back in another 3 weeks to get my trials… For the SECOND time. Its been over 2 months. since my initial exam and i still dont have a prescription that I can order lenses and glasses with. ive been running around like a chicken with its head cut off cause I still cant see sh*t…
Dont expect to be greeted right away either… just expect to walk around in the store with your finger in your butt until they notice you.
And if you come across Jason, that guy is as dumb as rocks. I was looking to order a pair of glasses with my eye glass prescription, but the entire time he was helping me he was under the impression that I wanted to order glasses with no lenses in them. Wtf?
