My issue: My Playstation 3 was not reading discs.
paid the 35 for them to asses the situation and they said I needed a whole new blue ray drive because mine was «physically damaged». So they said normally it would cost $ 250 to fix, with $ 150 being the price for labor, but they’ll give me a discount and my total would be $ 200.
Oh, did I mention that I dropped my PS3 off on a Thursday and did not get an assement till Wednesday of the following week. (this is not standard, another location diagnosed it and fixed it within 30 minutes)
At this point I started to actually do some research on other repair shops. Then I found an amazing one. Which would charge me $ 90 for a blue ray drive replacement… the $ 90 includes parts and labor.
So I got my PS3 out of their shop and took it to FiveStars Electronics, which I will review next.
