I love this place! Crystal is amazing. I have never seen my scouty so white and fluffy and happy. I also leave him there for doggy day. He loves playing with other doggies his size. Then he sleeps like a baby when he gets home. I’m so in love with this place. The people are amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who cares how their animal is taken care of. 4 paws is an all star retreat for your sweetie. Love this spa!!!

I can see by reading the other reviews that dog grooming can be a difficult business. Their clients are both the dogs who may be afraid that they are in a new place with people they do not know and their owners who have their own ideas of how things should work. I have a large German Shepherd and I am very careful about where I leave him. He got a bath a few days ago. He still is silky smooth and feels great. I will take him back here.

I have been holding back on writing a review for this place. I love that the owner Lisa is involved with rescues and that’s one of the reasons I have gave them about 4 chances. But today was my last chance for this location.
I moved to the valley a year and a half ago and my original groomer is located in West Hollywood, so I needed a more convenient location to drop off/​pick up Charlie around my busy schedule. I went to 4paws because it had a small quantity of bad reviews and it’s so close to where I live.
My first time at 4paws I had met Lisa who I think is the owner and is very sweet and nice. She was very welcoming. First off, I didn’t like that the grooming area is not visible for clients like my old groomer but I’m sure not all locations have that accommodation. Second, I ask for a round face on my Yorkie and to leave hair behind his testicles, which they failed to do so, TWICE!
So after not being happy with their grooming for the second time. I didn’t visit them until 6 months after for a nail trim. That visit was very pleasant. The groomer trimmed his nails while I held him and she explained what she was doing. We even had a nice conversation.
So today, since I have not been able to have a day off where I can take him down to West Hollywood, I had booked an appointment with 4 paws.
They are very accommodating. I emailed them on Sunday and allowed me to drop off Charlie an hour before his appointment so I could make it to class on time. As soon as I get there, of course I’m in a rush. I ask Lisa that I want a round face and to leave hair covering his testicles through the rear side. Then she starts asking why I have not neutered my dog and I let her know due to his blood work he is not healthy enough to go through surgery. He is already 6 years old and my veterinary and I chose not to go through with the neuter because it’s an anesthetic surgery. So then she starts saying I’m wrong and my veterinary Doctor is wrong. That’s when I start getting annoyed. I understand you work with rescues and I respect that. I have the softest heart for animals. But you do not continue to ramble about something I already answered. You never tell your customer they’re in the wrong. Unless a customer asks for your OPINION, which I did not. So I end that topic with an annoyed face and time and ask her to make sure the body length is half way so she runs to the back to call the groomer instead because I guess it was too much information for her to relay. The groomer comes out. I ask her to please make the face round because I dislike when it comes out pointy. Then she said «of course, but sometimes it depends on the dog». (Again, I have my original groomer that has never had a problem with my requests, and always makes Charlie look like a teddy bear). So I tell her I’ve requested it at other places and they’re able to do it. But that at 4paws it always comes out pointy. So she begins to say it’s the dogs fault because he might be moving. At this point in so over it and really want to take Charlie back home but I’d totally be late to school. So I move on to show her how short I want his body hair length to be and leave the facility.
I love that they called me exactly at 2 pm like they said they would to tell me Charlie was ready.
His face was square/​pointy. They did not leave enough hair in his testicular area like I requested. And his back looks like they ran the clippers without even looking.
Not happy at all and unfortunately I will never go to 4paws again.

I’m glad I found a place that would pet sit my dog for a couple hours. A lot of places I found on Unilocal only do overnight board or were not accepting new clients.
I just ended up getting a bath for my dog anyways for a great price — $ 30. He was ready when I came back to pick him up however I wish they would’ve brushed him a lot more because he was shedding like crazy.
Definitely would come back here.

I don’t like to write bad reviews, but thought I should share my latest experience. I’ve taken my dogs here three times– good cuts, and affordable. But last Friday they actually brought me the wrong dog — twice! Then when I finally got my dog, they couldn’t find his leash or collar, which I discovered myself as they were using it with yet another dog. I wish them well in their rescue work, but I won’t take another chance here.

I’ve been bringing my dog here for about a year now. I was a little worried about how anxious my dog gets when dropping him off, but they listen to my requests and my dog is always happy and playful when he returns home.

We had a terrible experience here my dog got sick immediately after her cut and when I spoke with the person who runs the place she initially seemed helpful but then later her answer was she didn’t know how or what happened but they couldn’t take responsibility and I was stuck with the vet bill. Good luck

Very pleased with my first visit. Been disappointed at the quality and care given by pet store groomers. My dog is a short hair breed and only requires a bath and good brushing. That being said, isn’t it the simplest things that are the hardest to find? Checking my dog’s fur after yesterday’s visit to 4Paws, I am so happy by how clean and soft it feels. I will be back again!

I took my mini-​Goldendoodle, Nala, today and they exceeded my expectations. This place gives great cuts, is affordable, and has great customer service.
First, they took the time to meet with me beforehand and really listened to my requests and expectations. Second, they took the time to meet Nala and make sure she felt at ease about being there. Third, they didn’t create a dent in my pocket.
Overall, I recommend this place and will be returning.

They took me very last minute and I was super grateful. The Lady at the front desk Lisa was very welcoming and accommodating. I had the pleasure of Bell being my groomer for my dogs for the evening. She advised to cut there hair shorter than my preference which I did not agree. I told her teddy bear like and she returned to me a bald bear. I was hoping she would take my thoughts in to consideration and work around what I wanted since I was paying?. Other than that I would recommend this place. Exceptional customer service.

Lisa is fantastic! Bel is an Expert Groomer. My dog Cody came out smiling!!! LOVE THEM!

Took my puppy to this place a couple times and every single time I’d take him, he’d panic and bark and even cry sometimes and I thought that’s normal for a dog to act like that when the owners leaving them at a groomers but one days luckily I went to this place early to pick up my dog and I saw the groomer smacking and yelling at my dog because he was licking her hand, because apparently she was pulling the hair around his eyes and mouth too hard and was hurting him!!! I will NEVER take my dog here!!! I stopped taking him there a long time ago, so NOT worth it!
I wouldn’t recommend this place at all… it was heartbreaking seeing my dog like that.

Just wanted to thank the owner for grooming my dog. She seemed pretty knowledgeable about dogs and is very resourceful. Will come back again when my pups need another haircut.

I have a Rottweiler that has practically grown up here. We began taking him here at least once a week about a year ago since he was 10 weeks old, & he LOVES it! He practically jumps out the window to go greet the people that work there, & everybody knows him & has watched him grow. It was such a relief to find this place, & to trust when we dropped him off that he was being looked after by genuine dog lovers, & was having fun! I love that he is also always pooped when we pick him up, that’s how I know he’s had a fun filled day!
We also have always gotten him groomed here as well, & have never had issues.
I support this place 100% & encourage people to at the very least give it a shot!

If you are looking for a groomer that does a quality job this is your place. The location is a hidden gem. Last minute I needed my dog groomed and they were able to fit in my dog on my day off. They were nice and accomadating. The prices were reasonable and definately my dogs go to groomer.

Came back for my puppy’s monthly grooming here at 4 Paws! Thanks to the AMAZING Belle, my little puppy is looking fresh and adorable with his absolutely, PERFECT SUMMER CUT. Again I will say I am so happy to have found such an amazing place and will forever be bringing my little bugga boo Woogie here! He always comes back looking happy, and precious! Belle, you’re the best!

I’ve been taking my dog to various groomers for the past several years and I have never encountered service that was this exceptional. I know that they are slightly more pricier than a Petco but it’s fully worth the value!
I’ll be a repeat customer here for sure.

Went here for the first time to take my two dogs and it was amazing. They did and amazing job and staff was great. I recommend this place to everyone plus you get a 10% discount on your first visit :) this will be my new groomer from now on.
Place is clean and smells good too.
They also sell accessories and food.

Brought my dog princess yesterday for a much needed bath and groom for the first time. Nice to know they are near by. The staff was friendly and playful with my dog. Felt confident they could handle her high energy.
Would definitely go again.

Ok so after my first time here (which was a great experience) I brought my pup back. I called and made an appointment for the next morning so I could drop my pup off before I saw a client and could pick her up after I was done with the session.
I arrived in the morning and the owner says «oh I’m sorry but the groomer made a vet appointment and I forgot so we won’t be able to get to your dog until the afternoon.» Uuuuuuuuhhhhhhmmmmmm no. I called and specifically stated that I could drop her off and pick her up at a certain time. It isn’t my fault that the scheduling wasn’t done properly. Figure it out. At that point, I wouldn’t have had time to drop my dog back off at home before work but my dog has anxiety about being at the groomers… And I’m NOT leaving her in my car while I work because you can’t figure out your schedule. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
The owner backed down and said she’d figure it out. So I left my pup there and came back after work. The groomer was sitting outside with her own dogs (maybe she canceled her vet appointment?) but she wasn’t very pleasant. She looked pretty angry and not anything like the first time I met her.
Took my dog and got the heck outta there as soon as I could. It was a horrendously uncomfortable situation for me and I don’t wish to repeat it.
It’s not like I didn’t have an appointment… And she couldn’t pick up the phone and call before I brought my dog in if there was a scheduling mishap so I didn’t bring my dog in? Apologizing and saying «oh sorry but your dog will have to spend the whole day here» is just not acceptable, especially because I was specific over the phone, talking about timing and my dog’s anxiety.
They still get three stars because of the first time I was there, but I won’t be back after this time.
I’m sad because I thought I had finally found a great place for grooming services but the customer service is just not acceptable to me.
