History

Established in 2011.

Thora Mae’s was opened approximately 16 years ago by the son of Thora Mae. Thora Mae always had a love and appreciation for antiques so her son decided to open this store in her honor. Unfortunately, she was unable to appreciate the antique mall as she died a couple weeks after it opened in early1997. Since the opening, the store has had different owners. The current owners are a local couple who live right outside of Cannon Falls with their own love and appreciation for antiques. In February 2013, Thora Mae’s Timeless Treasures celebrated its one year anniversary under new management.

Business Owner

Today the store is owned by a local couple, Tim and Kara Gates. The Gates took over ownership in December 2011. After a bit of remodeling and tender loving care, they re-​opened in February of 2012. They both share a love and appreciation for antiques that you will notice as soon as you step foot in the door. The store represents over 40 dealers and consists of a wide variety of antiques.
