Dunkin’ Donuts

When I joined Unilocal I pretty much decided that I wasn’t going to review «chain» restaurants… franchised or not. My thought is that if you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all. That isn’t the case at this Dunkin Donuts.
I am a self-​proclaimed coffee snob. I only buy Intelligentsia or Metropolis to brew when I am at home in Chicago. When I travel, generally I will settle for Starbucks. When I visit my family in Canfield, the Dunkin Donuts in Canfield is the only acceptable replacement. The coffee is perfect. It tastes as though it has been fresh roasted that same day. The donuts are better than any other Dunkin Donuts I have ever had. Recently, I had a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. This breakfast sandwich blows anything that McDonald’s is serving out of the water. The biscuit is buttery and flaky like they popped it right out of the oven. I’m not sure what this particular Dunkin Donuts is doing that is different than any other. Whatever it is that they are doing, it works.
