My husband and I love Gold Dragon. He likes the Szechuan beef and I like C2 and the chicken egg foo young. It’s the best egg foo young I’ve ever had. They even did exceptional food service for our wedding reception of 150 people. The staff are always very friendly.

Below average. No choices. Bad soup. And I didn’t even get what I ordered. Too many other good places in the area.

We took 8 people to the Gold Dragon this weekend and nobody liked the food. We ordered Orange chicken which used the same sauce that was used for the fried wontons and brought to us as a dip for the fried shrimp. The coating used for the shrimp was very hard and the shrimp were well very tiny. The orange chicken was very bad too. The whole meal was just very sub standard and I would never go back here again.

Wow is all I have to say about this little Chinese joint! I go here quite frequently as it is the best spot for Chinese in the area. I highly recommend you try their pan fried noodles. You get a huge plate of noodles, veggies and all sorts of meats for about $ 8! You can’t beat it, it’s enough food to feed 2 people easily. They have great combination plates also so you can sample a bunch of stuff for a cheap price. Speaking of cheap price, don’t even get me started on their lunch menu. You can get a huge plate of food for around $ 5! I don’t see how other people are complaining about service as I get seated as soon as I walk in and have my water filled about 5 different times. Food comes out HOT always and doesn’t take long at all. Overall if you’re looking for good Chinese food in or around Canby I would tell you to come to the Gold Dragon before you waste your money trying other places.

We have been coming here for years, the restaurant is clean, excellent lighting from lots of widowns and cheerful. The staff is always friendly & helpful. I think it’s the best Chinese food for miles around & I have been to pretty much all of them. I always order the same thing, C5, which is pork fried rice, chicken lo mien, won ton, & I get the sweet & sour chicken instead of the sweet & sour pork, no extra charge. The portions are large, food is tasty and atmosphere is relaxing. There is an adjoining lounge which used to be very smoky until the law passed with no smoking, it is so much better now when you walk in the front door.

The lounge is stinky, seedy, and tends to detract from the overall atmosphere of this location. The restaurant has always had a nice, clean appearance, and very family oriented. Canby brings their families here. They have lovely chinese artwork of goldfish and sailboats on their walls. The color palete is pastels and calming. The waiters/waitresses here have always served us well and over time gotten to know our family. Their warmth was always inviting when we slid into the booths on a cold Canby night. They were always smiling and catching up with us on how we were doing in life. I always appreciated the family feel. The food has been consistantly well on prices, large quantities, and good quality over the span of the fifteen years I’ve been there. Their fried rice has always been tasty as well as their egg flour soup. Disclaimer: We did have one really bad experience. It kept us from going for a while, but we’re back at it again. I think it was a one time deal. ~A
