I don’t know why Unilocal shows this date. but I posted back in 2012. so I understand your concerns about recent date. but like I said that review was posted in 2012. and if you guys make some improvements there I’m glad because is a nice place to stay.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called at least 5 times from different phone lines and different days every day for a few days and Nobody answers the phone. Ridiculous! I don’t know how this place does business.

Manager Lindsay was never in her office on the frequent times I tried to reach her about our garbage disposal not working (black sludge in the sink, water not going down, it was pretty bad). It was seriously 6 or 7 days before I finally got a hold of her (office hours clearly posted on the door but nobody home!) and it got taken care of two days later.
They also had to cut a 5 foot hole in our ceiling, covered in with a thin plastic sheet, and wait a MONTH before finally coming back to patch it up. (Minor note; water leak happened on our tub and was pouring water on the poor tenants below!)
Parking is very difficult. Half the time had to park across the street at Safeway because by 7 it’s impossible to find street or guest parking here.
Near a sketchy area, police seemed to frequent the surrounding neighborhood. Had a crackhead carve up our stairs once.
This isn’t the worst place to live, I just wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone.
On the other hand, Safeway across the street is nice, but I wouldn’t add a star because of it.

My cat contracted FIV (Feline AIDS) from being an outdoor cat at this complex.
IF YOU HAVE A CAT AND LIVE HERE– DO NOT LET YOUR CAT OUTSIDE. THERE IS A TERRITORIAL CAT (S) THAT LIVE HERE THAT HAVE KITTY AIDS. FOR YOUR CATS SAFETY DO NOT LET THEM OUTSIDE!!!
Lived here for a year, used the pool MAYBE three times, brought three guests with me– all relatives, was told by Lindsay the manager that I could only have two guests come to the pool with me– she didnt recognize me– how did she know the guy sitting to my right wasnt my roommate and we had two guests?
The day I moved out was a magical magical day.
Oh and they skimped me on my deposit for replacing the crappy lock on the MB with a good one. I handed the key over to the new lock upon move out, and left the old original under the sink. GOT CHARGED.

I have been looking around to rent a ²⁄₂ or ²⁄₁. The Greenery has listed a unit on Craigslist on 999 W Hamilton Avenue #13 in Campbell for lease. I called in several times inquiring as to when I could see it. a RUDE snotty female answered the phone saying that I can’t see the unit because it is occupied, and I will have to submit an application ($ 45) to lease without seeing it. She referred me to the «floor plan» on the website. I replied that she may need to take a permission from the tenants to show me the unit. She was adamant that I will have to application without seeing the unit. I called again to inquire on to the location as I have paid a trip to check out unit #13 on the outside, but couldn’t figure out where #13 was. She hung up on me. It was the same voice every time I called in. Rude, unprofessional. Who knows what kind of service they provide after moving in. I bet services will continue to suck!!!

Don’t waist your time. Tremendously over priced. New management is horrible. Maintenance guy does more wrong than right. Just downright bad. The property is nice, so they got 1 star for that. But everything else is garbage due to work staff epic fail. Video cameras watching hot tub… uhh…okay…thanks for watching. Parking is scarce and enforced well on everyone else but one of the manager’s friends, who has 4 or 5 cars hording all the decent guest spots! and they won’t do anything about it when complained about! Keep in mind, the vehicle limit per unit is 2, oh and your guests get towed… but i guess it’s different if you’re friends… oh and expect rent increases every chance they get.

I will never rent from Tom Harrington properties again. Small, outdated, scammy.
If I could rate this place with negative stars I would. Now let me start w this, I usually never pay attention to apartment reviews. Lesson learned. When I moved in everything seemed fine. Great parking, area, etc. The walls are this, neighbors complained of bed bugs for months, cockroaches on the walkways, and Lindsay the manager is never there. They are also closed on the weekends. I work for a large tech company in SF and I only have time forage once on the weekends. Also since Lindsay isn’t on the office ever it’s almost impossible to get anyone to help with matience.
Now, my roommate met a guy and moved out 3 months early without notice. I let the manager– Lindsay know. I paid the remainder of the rent for the 3 months, I also asked of they would change the locks and they said no. I was worried for my safety!
Once the lease was up I cleaned and moved out. I also left my forwarding address with the office and keys. They were made well aware of my roommate situation, that she left in the middle of the night without notice. I was also the primary holder on the account. But they mailed the cleaning deposit back to her instead of me! After I paid for the place to be cleaned. I contacted the office and someone told me of have to contact the roommate who left and they would not cancel the check. What a scam.
Parking is also hard, and crimes in the area frequently due to many apartments together.
I’m seeking legal advice. Let me know if they’ve done this to you!

Since my last review, I was contacted with an extremely friendly response with additional information and a genuine interest in improving the situation and relationship.
Because of that, I am giving them a higher rating.: D
The amount of land they own is restricted so obviously if you own several vehicles and move in here, it will be difficult. But that is not a reflection of the customer service. I was also informed that they are working on adding a few spots so it’s great to know action is being taken.
The office cared about my maintenance issue I mentioned previously and that was another reason why they contacted me so as of now, I’m very satisfied with the customer service.

While I still only give The Greenery 1 star based on the negligent actions for eradicating the rats, I felt it was worth updating that we did get our deposit back 4 days late, but we received our full deposit, which is not typical in these types of apartments in the Bay Area (most reserve a minimum amount for a maid service and carpet cleaning regardless of what happens). This was to try and make peace over our situation; we were initially told they would hold some for move-​out services.
The new manager (Lindsay) is very nice, reasonable and eager to serve the apartment renters. If I were her, I would find a company that wants to offer the same type of service she so naturally wants to give those she serves.

I love it here — going on 4 years in November. It’s peaceful for the most part — I get to walk my dog around the grassy areas under the shady trees. Ruby Lee, the manager, has always been extremely kind and helpful to us. I always see a lot of the negative reviews bashing her but honestly it is crap. She’s doing her job and has to be the messenger bearing bad news sometimes.
Cons would be that during the summer, a whole bunch of kids are at the pool from early in the day until the sun goes down. A lot of them do not live here either which sucks.
Other than that, this place has been a great place to live. All our neighbors are nice and friendly. It’s conveniently located next to a great restaurant and across from Safeway. Love it…

I wish I could give negative rating. Won’t recommend to move in here ever. I just want to get out of here. Parking if you have two cars is like the hardest thing to find. There are some times you just don’t get the space, like you have to come earlier to get the parking, its like a contest. Damn… One major thing is your privacy. The walls are so thin, you can literally hear neighbors. Very bad at night times (Maybe its the old wood) Balconies feel like they are going to fall anytime. The maintainence guy is lazy and he never fix anything right, just procrastinates. The trees are falling all the time, I saw huge branches in the middle of complex twice past month.
Maintainence is bullshit. They don’t allow you to have window AC which sucks in summer. And… if you want your cars broken into, the perfect place to move in…
Can’t wait until I move out…

0 stars this place is very very kid unfriendly just to let you know if you have kids your going to want to stay away from this place. The lady ruby lee who manages the place is a c*nt. I can go on and on but let me tell you a brief story of why I am being so harsh.
My girlfriend lived their for 5 years and she had 2 kids and we were very friendly with parents of other children who my girlfriends kids were friends with. We got a long with ruby lee at first. Any way as you can imagine it gets hot in Campbell and there is a long period of nice pool weather. So being the nice people we are we would watch her kids and their friends who lived at the apartment at the pool so they could enjoy it say if their parents weren’t home. And yes we would maybe be watching as many as 12 kids. Then ruby lee (who with the exception of her retarded grand kids hates children) makes a rule that 1 adult could only be responsible for 2 kids at a time at the pool. So we oblige to the rule which meant each one of my girlfriends kids could each have 1 friend with them at the pool as long as we were both their to watch them. And other parents were aware of this rule and we would pretty much be a co-​op their and be sure there were enough parents to watch kids at the pool for whoever wanted to swim. Well when this plan backfired on ruby lee (I say plan because I’m sure she randomly made up the rule in the hopes to keep kids out of the pool) She then makes another rule that each parent had to be at the pool and mind their own kids. Well in her mind that helped a little but on the weekends when parents were off work everyone would be at the pool again. Then she makes another rule about no food or drink at the pool. One of the parents was diabetic and would have a soda with him just in case and when he explained his situation to her she said that he needed to drink it at his apartment then. Then we said why do you have a soda machine in the pool area. She responded that just because there was a soda machine there didn’t mean we were allowed to drink them at the pool. (bull sh*t whatever) But when her dead beat son (who didn’t even live at the apartment) brought the pool Nazis retard grand kids over they would have food and drink at the pool.(so much for the rules you fuc*ing hypocrite) Anyway unfortunately for us we were the couple who watched kids at the pool the most and she evicted us and when we asked why she said by law I don’t have to give a reason you need to be out in 60 days. And that was that.
In conclusion if you have kids DO NOT EVEN THINK OF MOVING TO THE GREENERY. I am not exaggerating any of this
But if your 65 or older The Greenery Senior Living Facility may be perfect for you

On my quest to find a pet-​friendly apartment that was reasonably priced, I came across an ad for The Greenery on
. So one afternoon, I met with a lady named Ruby Lee in the leasing office. I was interested in a one bedroom, however she only had a two bedroom unit available to show me. I decided to take a tour anyway just to get a general idea of the apartment.
She made sure to mention the slight differences in the one and two bedrooms, for example, the two bedroom apartment has a hallway entrance into the apartment whereas the one bedroom does not.
PROS:
–Pet-​friendly
–water, garbage, and gas all included in rent
–option of month-​to-​month lease
–discounted rate for a 12 month lease
–they will paint an accent wall with a color of your choice when you move in (how cute)
CONS:
–no a/​c
–no washer/​dryer in unit
I’m still keeping my options open, but overall, not too bad.

I love living here! the landlady is very nice and most people who live here have lived here 5+ years and they are very nice. The atmosphere is very relaxing and nice to come home to. There are huge trees everywhere and it makes for a nice little view. It was very clean when i moved in and there are hardwood floors in the entryway and hallway. I get so many complements when people visit.
