The thing is, it’s not just the lashes that are amazing quality, Jenny is amazing too!
She was a very warm and friendly personality, and treats you like a queen! I’ve totally fallen asleep before, and felt really embarrassed. But she was very nice about it, and I’m sure it happens more often. There is soothing music playing, and you lay down on a bed with a soft blanket. Thanks Jenny
And when you are done with you’re lashes, like mine were for an event. Don’t be like me and wait for them to fall out or remove them yourself. Have Jenny help you, because it’s worth saving your lashes over!

I had my eyelash extension done by Jenny who did an amazing job. My eyelashes last for 4 to 6 weeks! I get tons of compliments and will definitely use Jenny again for my eyelash extensions.

I just got my eyelash extensions with Jenny yesterday and I love em! She did a great job, my eyelashes look fuller and natural. Jenny was very professional and friendly and made sure to tell me how to maintain them so they would last longer. I would absolutely recommend her to my friends and I will definitely come back to try other services at her salon.

If I could give a negative star for my experience with Jenny Dinh I would. The star is for the location. I purchased a groupon for eyelash extensions. Jenny greeted me 15 minutes late after she already moved my appointment later by 30 minutes… went into the room she works in and it was disorganized and filthy. I told her what I wanted and she had her own idea and that I should trust her… I should have walked out then because what I’ve experienced since has been irritating and torturous… the glue she used made my eyes burn for an hour and my eyes were irritated and felt like something was poking and scraping my eyes… I finally was able to get some relief after messing with the angle of the lashes. She put them under my natural lash, in some spots, so the extension and glue were scrapping my eye. However less than a week later my eyelids began to get so irritated they started to swell… she didn’t separate the natural lashes and glued them in clumps (i can see clumps of the glue)
I mention that I purchased a groupon, well after she put them on she demanded a 15% tip, so unprofessional and inappropriate.
Understand this was not my first time having extensions and I’ve never experienced this before with other technicians… I will never… NEVER go back to her.
As a matter of fact, I have to have them removed and if they believe that she shouldn’t be doing extensions I plan on taking her to small claims to get ALL my money back.
I hope this helps detour you from going to her.

I got eyelash extensions from Jenny for a vacation I took for 10 days. I went in two days before I was to leave not knowing what to expect. Jenny did have to push the appointment to a later time, but she was very polite and in the end the wait was worth it. She showed me pics of her work and said that she would not make mine too long so that they would last longer. After she finished I opened my eyes and was amazed at her work. I was worried my eyes would be too sensitive to them (my eyes watered a lot during application). I was pleased when I blinked after opening my eyes and they felt natural. I had a great time on vacation and did not have to wear any eye makeup! I am an avid mascara, eyelash curler, and eyeliner girl and to be able to just wake up, wash my face and go was amazing! I will keep these lashes! Thanks!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a groupon for eyelash extensions, hoping to have them put on before an upcoming vacation. I have tried reaching Jenny by phone and email 5 (yes 5!!) different times without any response from her. I have been trying to reach her for weeks, certainly something I have never experienced when trying to schedule an appointment anywhere. I can’t even comment on the quality of her work, and after this experience I have no interest in having anything done by Jenny.

Jenny Dinh is awesome. I got my I lashes as a gift through Groupon and these lashes take regular maintenance but she has been more than accommodating and her personality makes it that much more worth the visit. She truly cares about customer service. (Rare to find these days).

I have gone to Jenny three times for my eyelash extensions. Each time her work is amazing and my lashes last for 5 – 6 weeks. Jenny is meticulous in applying my lashes; I receive many compliments and have referred several of my friends to her for both eyelash extensions and permanent make up. I will continue to have Jenny maintain my lashes; Jenny rocks!!!

I do not know where to begin. to say that I am upset is an understatement.
My experience with Jenny is very similar to what Itty M. has said.
I came in with a Groupon, the salon is actually Designers Ltd located in a Safeway plaza just before hwy 17.
I have previously gotten eyelash extensions at another salon and right off the bat I felt like Jennys technique was a bit off. I did not feel her applying individual lashes to my own lash by lash. It felt more like she laid out the lashes and then poured glue on them.
The lashes did come out beautiful and looked great for a week, yet were very uncomfortable. They pinched my skin in some places and poked at my lower lid as well as my eyeball sometime. I emailed Jenny asking why this was happening as I have never experience anything remotely close to what was happening after her eyelash application. I did not get a response:(.
The following day my lashes were extremely uncomfortable and felt like they were pulling on my own. Some clumps fell out and to my horror i saw what must have been 10 – 15 FAKE lashes on 3 OF MY OWN!!! How she expected my own tiny lashes to hold up all of those is beyond reason. But whats more startling is the fact that there were so many to begin with and she explained it as some sort of layering technique… no jenny. its just too much glue and lashes
I went to a different place where I normally get my facial and i trust the person that i work with to do a good job. She also does eyelash extensions (nova lash) and has MANY! satisfied clients (i am now on of them) She informed me that there was TOO MUCH GLUE! she couldnt event remove it with her solution. she said that the lashes that were applied took out soo many of my own that she could only put on a few to make my eyes look less naked.
She also informed me that the person doing this IS NOT SKILLED IN ANY WAY AND SHOULD NOT BE DOING IT in addition to probably using CHEAP GLUE FROM CHINA THAT IS NOT GOOD FOR LASHES. btw this stuff can make u go blind…
Please do yourself a favor and do not get eyelash extensions from here!!! I cannot understand how she managed to get so many good reviews. i highly suspect that not all of them are real…

I went to Jenny Dinh for eyelash extensions and actually feel bad writing such a negative review since she is very nice but the quality of the work was extremely poor, I would go as far to say she shouldn’t even be doing this service. She glued the lashes too close to my skin (it was pinchy in some places) and did not seem to use the proper amount of glue (used too much). They were uneven and heavy even though I asked up front not to glue too many per lash.
I wore them for about a week then got worried if they were damaging my real lashes so I went to another salon with a certified professional for removal. The woman here (who I had never met) told me it was the worst eyelash extension job she’s ever seen and that she didn’t seem to use the proper glue :(If I had worn them any longer I might have sacrificed my real lashes.
I hope Jenny improves, I do love the look but the technique and application was just terrible.

Jenny is amazing… Jenny’s work is just as amazing! She stands behind her work! I get so many compliments on my lashes it is CRAZY! She is so busy… only due to the fact of what a great job she does! She is the sweetest lady, I ADORE HER! I always feel great, because she does such a great job on my lashes! IF you are looking for someone to assist you in feeling great about how you look… look no further, Jenny is the one! I LOVE YOU JENNY, I ADORE YOU! I love my lashes!!!

Update: Jenny contacted me right away after she read my review and offered to redo my lashes for free. This time she had her partner work on me. I LOVE the results and my lashes look great! I want to commend Jenny for her dedication to service. She really takes care of her customers and always makes sure they are happy.

Receiving compliments is one of my top 10 favorite things to do. Want to know how many compliments I’ve gotten on my eyelashes since I got them done a few days ago? Me too… I lost track! Best answer: hella.
Jenny did a WONDERFUL job. I loved her (she’s incredibly nice), and I love the eyelash extensions that she put on me. They’re full, but not too full; long, but not too long. Just full and long enough that they’re compliment-​worthy, but not obnoxiously so. Don’t know how many different ways to say it… my new eyelashes are the bees knees. Fricken awesomeness in eyelash form. Rad. Super duper.

There is Jenny Lam and there is Jenny Dinh. Jenny Lam does only hair, and Jenny Dinh does everything else in the salon.
I went to Jenny Lam with a $ 25 trubate-​type deal for $ 60 worth of hair services (cut, style, etc.). I was very pleased with her work: She really listened to what I told her in our preview, and she followed through. We were finished in precisely one hour, all on time.
Definitely this is a 5-​star experience, but the posted prices seem pretty steep. While I got a good deal (plus a generous tip), those who do not wish to use discounts will pay a LOT more money.
The salon has an average amount of parking and is easy to find, right off Highway 9 (Los Gatos-​Saratoga Road) not far from Highway 17.

I was looped into an Trubate email circular for a new customer discount to Shangri-​la for a great deal on eyelash extensions. I’ve tried eyelash perms but never extensions because I’m kind of weird about having things in, on, and around my eyes. Lately, though, since I train capoeira about 3−4x/week, go to school, and work full-​time, I find myself always short on time… so I decided to bite the bullet and try it out.
Gave Jenny a call, got her voicemail, and left a message. She got back to me the same day and managed to put me on the schedule within the week. The evening before my appointment, she had the gracious courtesy to text me a reminder to confirm my appointment. The day of my appointment (yesterday), I arrived at the unassuming, but quaint and neatly-​kept, salon about 15 minutes early and she took me about 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment (because she was finishing up with another client). No drama, in the slightest, because the time and patience she put into my eyelash extensions blew my socks off!
I spent the next two hours with my eyes closed and my lower lashes taped down to prevent my upper and bottom lashes from being glued shut. Not going to lie, there was a slight sting from the adhesive but being a person with sensitive skin and eyes, I actually expected worse. Then Jenny did her magic and meticulously placed each and every extension in the most strategically natural places along my lash-​line. There were few-​minute intervals of lash separating and drying (with a hair dryer on very low settings) but rather than make me endure the agony of that similar to the Chinese torture test, when I encountered a tickling from the adhesive-​drying process, Jenny was more than kind enough to «massage» around the areas to ease the itch. A head message was also thrown in to relieve the pressure of laying in a stationary position for so long.
When all was done, I looked in the mirror and was ecstatic to see how good the extensions came out!
Jenny advised me of the best practices to make the extensions last and I was off to work (where I got several compliments from my female coworkers who noticed my peepers). Later into the evening, my eyes were a little irritated because they weren’t used to the length of some of the upper lashes that seemed to rub ever so slightly on my lower lash-​line. But I think the problem was compounded with a hard-​core two-​hour capoeira session in which I sweated all over my face and eyes, plus the pollen count was through the roof yesterday. It should be mentioned, too, that my skin is very oily and my eyelids give me the same drama. I had no choice but to wash my face and eyes, that night, with a gentle patting motion.
With all that said, the lashes are holding up well. One extension fell out this morning, after my shower, which didn’t surprise me because I often toss and turn in my sleep. The irritation, thankfully, has disappeared and I forget that the extension are there. We’ll see how they hold up in the following weeks!
All in all, I was really happy with Jenny. She was a total sweetheart, was very engaging and concerned about my comfort, but is totally serious about her craft and buckles down into silent surgeon mode when she starts on the extensions. I’m getting compliments and they feel good. I’m happy and impressed with how natural and full they look. I’m, without a doubt, going back to Jenny in the future.

I went to Jenny after finding an awesome deal on trubates. A previous salon had left me with atrocious eyelash extensions that I desperately wanted to get fixed. She was helpful on the phone and promptly scheduled me for an appointment.
Upon arriving, she called to let me know she was running about 10 – 15 minutes late. No prob. I’ll just go to Starbucks or something. But when I got to the salon, she still wasn’t ready for me. I understand when people run late. But even without my original appointment time, I ended up waiting for about an hour because she was letting the people before me add on additional services. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. It’s irritating when people try to please costumers at the expense of another’s. It’s unprofessional.
With that being said, my lashes did come out nicely. She spent a lot of time on them and didn’t rush. The only thing is that I wish she didn’t put more than one lash on my natural ones. It put a lot of weight on my lashes. It was a bit when painful when some of them fell off. They ended up dangling from my natural lash strands, and it looked funny.
Overall, I’m satisfied with the work but not very impressed with the experience. Also, I didn’t like that she repeatedly asked me to write a review. I think Jenny’s wonderful and talented but has a lot to work on.

I have been a continuing customer of Jenny’s Shangri-​La Lotus salon for nearly five years. I have never had any bad service in the salon on any part of my body.
I’ve experienced her lash extensions, mani and pedi, facials, eyebrow waxing, permanent make-​up eyeliner, the other Jenny’s hair cutting, and more.
The salon should qualify as a day spa because even though I’m generally a happy kind of person I am always in a much better mood when I exit than when I entered.

I have been going to Jenny Dinh for 2 years now for facial services and eyelash extensions. She is the best!
I get so many compliments on my lashes. I have had many people visit her because mine look so good. Jenny has created many customized lash looks for me from super glam, to natural and my favorite cat eye look.
When I have the need for some serious skin care, I go to see Jenny. She gives the best facials that target hyper-​pigmentation, blackheads and large pores.
I really love her work. She is a true professional and very kind.

Review for eyelash extensions
I tried Jenny three times and really gave her every opportunity to correct problems but will not be returning again for several reasons listed below in order of the top most first:
My eyes were completely uneven — the first time I went to Jenny admittedly one eye came out beautifully but the other looked liked I had used a year old mascara and was clumped together and not symmetrical to the other eye. I called her and asked if she would take a look and she did and attempted to fix it and although it was better still not symmetrical. Before I left she scheduled me for a refill and today I went for that and thought maybe the other times were off days and that today would be ok… well I am now seriously regretting that thought. Both look awful now, are not symmetrical, my top and bottom lashes got stuck together and she had to cut them apart and on one eye I have two or three eyelashes scratching my eyeball. I am not even going to ask her to fix it just find someone else with more experience.
Tipping Pressure — I first went to Jenny after a Trubate deal and from the moment I called to make the appointment she kept on about the deal not being much and that I should tip generously — tips are based on good service and I am typically a VERY good tipper but don’t pressure me before you have even performed a service and especially when the service is second rate. If you feel Trubate deals are not for you then don’t sign up for them but don’t guilt the person who bought it into paying you the difference in tip. The point is to get introductions for a longer term relationship.
Interruption to my appointment — while getting my lashes done Jenny left the room twice after someone knocked on the door. The first was only 5 mins but the second was about 20 mins! Probably why one of my eyes didn’t get the same amount of attention.
Reschedules appointments 30 mins prior to the scheduled time — the first time I went she called and said she was running 30mins behind, ok fair enough. She did the same thing on the appointment we had to fix the eye she had messed up because she had a walk in 30 mins prior to our time. Shouldn’t scheduled appointments come first especially when you are trying to fix the relationship!
Overall a very disappointing experience and I can’t understand why Jenny has so many great reviews on here which are what I had relied upon before visiting her. I wished people would not take discounted services in exchange for writing good reviews, which I am sure is what has happened here, and keep Unilocal an honest review system for weeding out bad service from the good.
Definitely not recommended!
