I love this bookstore. Workers are friendly and helpful. They have a great selection. Lots of cute books for the kids too. I found some really great super hero books for my niece and nephews. And it’s Ina great area.

Love this bookstore. Main reason I like going here is because they sell used books at good prices. Would of gave it 5 starts if it had a bigger selection. But for its size, the selection is actually pretty good.

This was the coolest little spot. Slid by to pick up a quick out of print paperback for only $ 4. Hell yeah. I bought another book (that I didn’t really need) that cost like $ 8 just because I appreciated this place so much for having the book I really wanted. Definitely coming back to find some more gems.

I’ve been looking for a used bookstore for a while, and this is exactly what I wanted. It’s big, the prices are great, and there is a pretty decent selection. The young children’s section is good, but where they really wow is with their middle grade fiction and chapter books. I went on a little spending spree for my (almost) seven-​year-​old (who reads slightly above his grade level). All the titles I read growing up were there. It was an exciting walk through my childhood! We also found several nice, hardcover nonfiction books about art, science, and history for kids, which both my children enjoyed.
This store is a great choice!

Not too bad of a bookstore, not as big as some of the others around the area, but it gets the job done. I was actually really surprised to find they had a copy of Flight of the Silvers which I planned on buying for my friend.
I usually browse for the used books because lets face it used books are just as good as new, but cheaper. However if you like new, pristine books, they carry quite a good mix of used and old and you’ll probably be able to find a mint copy of what your looking for.
I’m coming back here again!

Definitely a favorite book shop of mine. I am a bit biased as my wife and I spent lots of time here (in the original location) and I proposed to her in the shop. They have a much larger venue now and lots more books. If you’re looking for a place to browse and shop for books, you could spend lots of time lost in the aisles here. There is a friendly cat roaming around and the staff here is super friendly. I was looking through some titles on the shelf near the register and the staff member said there were some of the same titles outside that were sun bleached at an additional discount. They do buy books as well, so it’s a great place to trade in those books you’re not reading for some new ones. Overall, a great store to hang out in after grabbing some dinner nearby.

It’s a fun place to browse the books. I’ve seen others bring in boxes of books to sell,
but often leave with most of them, we brought some a couple of times and most were rejected also, no success in selling there.
3 stars because every single time we’ve been in, the same lady that works there never greets
with a smile or hello ! For such a warm cozy place, it’s so darn unfriendly.

A decent used book store that I mostly use for the children’s section. My kids LOVE books and they are all very affordable here, especially if used (maybe $ 2 – 3 for many of the smaller ones that retail for $ 7ish). I haven’t taken the time to delve into the adult shelves because they can be a bit confusing as far as organization, and the prices are hit or miss, many of them are not much cheaper than some other online used book alternatives. But the staff and ambiance here is very open. My kids like to grab a few books and read a couple and put them back, but no one ever glares at us for doing so. When I come here on Sundays during the Campbell’s Farmers Market, I see other children doing the same thing and it’s a pretty pleasant experience.
Fair warning, there is a cat here, so be careful if you have allergies!

I’ve been here a few times, and I’m usually able to find books that I didn’t know I wanted. Definitely a great selection, with a lot of new books available that I didn’t expect. Organization is a bit questionable, and I find myself having to ask an employee for help if I’m looking for a specific book. Also, look out for the shop cat: usually found in the window display, the cat will occasionally scare the hell out you when browsing in a quiet aisle.
Overall, a great bookstore, but if you’re looking for something specific, you might have trouble finding it.

I originally came to campbell to go try Aqui cal-​mex. When I was looking for stores on Unilocal,I found this store in the recommendations. The cat got me by the tail and I decided to stop by and look.
I used to go to Barnes & Nobles and other well-​known bookstores but most of them closed down. It was a bit of nostalgia coming into this one and the atmosphere felt very homey. They have discounted books in front of their store. Many of them were adult coloring books.
There are chairs around to sit and a variety of books for a good price. I was tempted to buy the Hobbit because of the binding and the coating on the paper for my friend but she doesn’t really read haha. There are plenty of books to choose from and the staff is very helpful.
I didn’t end up buying anything but if I am looking for a book, I do intend to come back to browse.

Resident cat always means bonus points! Excellent browsing, reasonably priced, never too busy. Borderline hipster but totally bearable and still super nice!

Well, I do not think there is any interest in buying books. This was my third attempted coming with two full bags of almost new books in the Warriors series. I do not do this for the money I do it since I like the concept.
This time I got turned down since it was after 5 PM! Two guys behind the counter doing nothing. Sad! Last time I will try to recycle my book will just donate them.

Before you go to the local bookstore (like Barnes & Noble) and end up paying top dollar for a new book, you’re better off going to used bookstores like this one in Downtown Campbell (there is a second location in San Jose along The Alameda) and getting a real bargain deal on items that are just as good as new!
I recently went to Recycle Bookstore in Campbell to find some different books on foreign language and maybe even a few other topics of interest, but found that the prices are so much cheaper than if I had gone to the aforementioned Barnes & Noble. The staff is nicer and they even have their cute orange cat hanging around the store. There are lots of good treasures if you are into reading and enjoy books. You can even sell books and get store credit for some of their other items too, and I did sell some books a few years ago.

Books everywhere! I love used and new books! Book are awesome. I didn’t even know there’s another location cause I only been to the alameda area by downtown. This place is pretty similar to the other location and there’s a cat named Bob roaming around the bookstore :) This place is perfect if you’re a bookworm. Many shelves of books stacked high (there’s a little step stool for you to reach the books if you need it) and they have a few books displayed outside the store too. People here are very friendly and I just love being in this bookstore! I get lost everytime I’m in a bookstore, but that’s a good thing cause I love browsing through every shelve and finding something new! They have every kind of book here — lots of selection/​genre — poetry, fiction, kid’s book, sci-​fi, and more! The prices here varies from book to book depending on the condition, so make sure to look at each copy to find the cheapest one… or the best condition, but the prices are pretty average and similar to amazon and other bookstores. Place is very clean and organized too –if you can’t find what you’re looking for just ask someone at the front! Overall, I definitely recommend coming to this bookstore if you need a place to pick up a book or just want to look around! :)

This is truly a magic place-​for the sake of sounding completely corny but true. Floor to ceiling shelves all pretty well organized. Most of the books are in new or near new condition with tons of fun finds which you may not be able to find in a chain bookstore. I wish that we’d gone in a bit earlier as it was near closing when we went. I hate buying books retail– it feels like such a rip-​off but this place is just delightful with a kind staff and a cute house cat named Bob who seems to run the show.

I love bookstores. They are like home and they are where I find my inner peace. I’ve been to a few and I’d honestly say this store has a lot of variety and books that you can find in big chain bookstores. They are so organized and clean here its really easy to find books and they have large collections or cult favorites to today’s popular author! They have a great history and political section too if you’re into that. Well make many more visits! They have Haruki Murakami!

I love books but feel guilty spending full-​price when there are fabulous used books out there needing a new home. I often purchase from their chick lit, young adult, cookbook, hobby, and fiction sections. While I would love to see a more complete business section. Prices for new books are much higher than I like to pay, but I occasionally will pick up those, too.
I also have sold books a few times. Twice, I was pleasantly surprised by how many they took and how much I received. Another time or two, I didn’t get a whole lot, so choose trade which means that the balance can only use it for used books.
I highly recommend coming to peruse!

I love everything there is about this bookstore. It’s a combination of used and new books with a great selection! I’ve bought a large amount of used books by Murakami from this bookstore and they’re usually over priced at other stores!
I don’t usually trek all the way to Campbell because their sister/​brother store «Recycle Book Store» is a lot closer to me, unless i’m eating dinner across the way at Willard Hicks or Opa. A blessing in disguise, the very long wait for these restaurants gives me the opportunity to get lost in the sea of books across the way here.
Best of all? I love visiting Bob the cat! Of course he’s not as happy when he sees me, haha, but no matter. Bob the cat is the cutest.

Great bookstore with great selection! Love finding gems when visiting new places.
There’s a little but of everything for anyone! I found a few gems in «Fighters for Freedom» by Hermann R. Muelder and «They Have Served that Cup of Coffee» edited by Dick Cluster.
Definitely will come back if my travels ever bring me back to the area!

My brother is obsessed with this place. Knowing that my sister chose to have us all meet for lunch across the street so my brother could take my wife and I in after lunch.
Huge mistake.
First he told me how great their selection was — very true. All sorts of genres with plenty to chose from in each.
Then he mentioned the cats — Bob! On cute, not so shy cat, lounging in the back area of the store, purring with delight as I pet him and pursued the shelves. I wish I could have carried him around while I shopped but I fought the urge and let him snooze away.
My brother and wife and I spent 30 or so minutes wandered and each of us walked out with a stack of books and an even longer list of «books to buy and read later.»
Great store and will definitely be on my list for visits every time I am in town. With my sister living right down the street basically it will be easy to drop by frequently.
Great prices also. Not just a great selection but prices that match and let me indulge in everything that catches my eye.
