Meet the Business Owner
Dr. Polly K.
Business Owner
Dr. Polly Kokinos was born in New York City and stayed there until she graduated medical school. She moved to San Francisco to train at world famous UCSF in general surgery. During her residency, she returned to New York to train in molecular carcinogenesis research and published several articles on breast and thyroid cancer pathogenesis.
During her last year in San Francisco, a nurse from the hospital introduced her to a high school friend at a Greek Church Festival. She was married to Michael Kokinos the following year. She spent that year working at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in San Francisco as a Clinical Instructor and Attending Surgeon for UCSF. They then moved to Saint Louis to pursue a nationally acclaimed vascular fellowship at Washington University.
Dr. Kokinos was recruited back to San Jose to work as the sole vascular surgeon for a large medical group. After the birth of her daughters she went into private practice.
