I know towing company’s is most likely a bad experience but hey this guys saved me.
My car broke down on me in a middle of the night so I called this guys and a towing truck came to me with in 30 minutes. The price was reasonable and they towed my car to my mechanic shope. Great customer service

i am late in getting around to this review. my car needed a simple jump start back in august. i am reviewing my year end bills and came across the one for this service. and it all came rushing back. how they got there close to when they said they would. okay so far. the driver /​mechanic sent out was great! he got my car running in just under 3 minutes from when he drove up. the charge was off the charts !!! i talked with the *nice* lady at the office, to tell her the price was astronomical… i get $ 50 back as a refund from my insurance company on this. her flat rate was $ 85. but the charge was over $ 150 !! i discussed it with her until she got sarcastic, then i argued with her. the man who came and did good service told me he is paid the going rate and they keep the rest. so i crossed off the credit amount and wrote in what she had quoted over the phone. i signed the slip and told the man, nicely that he could go. if they wanted more they would have to come and get it. thankfully, they left it at that. but i will never, never. never! use this company again.

I called for a tow. They came out in the time frame customer service quoted me and got my car to my mechanic.

I called to get my car towed and they ended up scheduling a time. Sounds easy enough right? Well they call me back and tell me that they didn’t actually have a technician at that time and would need to push back the appointment by three more hours. They offered a discount so I figured it wouldn’t be so bad. Then, when they finally get my car, they recommend the Pick and Pull to sell my car for scraps, so we go. By the time we get there, the Pick and Pull tells me they don’t buy cars there, but another Pick and Pull location does. But by the time this all happened, said Pick and Pull was already closing. So now the towing company is charging me even more to tow back to their yard and to store it there overnight (and then another fee to bring it out the next day). So I ended up having to pay $ 270 for literally nothing but trouble. So the next day I call for them to bring my car out to the Pick and Pull and they say the technician is almost finished with where they are and would be about 15 – 20 minutes. So I head over to the Pick and Pull and am waiting for the tow truck. An hour and a half passes. So I call the company again and ask about the ETA. She tells me that the technician isn’t done yet where he is. So I ask about a wave of fees. Because I felt that they had lied to me on numerous occasions, and the main reason why they had to keep my car overnight was due to their negligence and lack of knowledge of their area’s resources. But the second I asked about a wave of fees, the woman on the phone instantly got defensive and started giving me attitude and having a tone with me. I will never use this company again.

I had locked my keys in my car while picking up lunch. I called Oz Towing and within 15 – 20 mins I was driving back to my office with lunch. The prices were reasonable and customer service was great. I will call them if I need any help again no doubt. Thanks Oz Towing

Unfortunately, the mighty Wizard to Oz Towing has failed to live up to the hype, same as the Wizard failed to in the classic Oz movie. Not that there really was any hype to begin with — wish I had checked Unilocal before calling them! To paraphrase Dorothy: «Lions, and tigers, and over-​priced towing services! Oh, my!»
In fact, Oz Towing was one of my worst business interactions over the last year. To wit:
Called and asked for a jump start on a dead battery on my SUV. The office lady said it would be $ 85 to $ 140. Would not give me an exact price. I said fine, knowing that it would take 3 minutes to jump start the car, and so I should get the $ 85. The tow driver arrives within maybe 10 minutes. Jumps the battery in less than 2 minutes. Gives me the bill for $ 134.
I called the office lady to complain, and got the same run-​around as other people describe (in other one-​star Oz Towing reviews). Meanwhile, the tow driver pulls his rig in BEHIND MY SUV. Why would he do this unless he is afraid I’ll be so upset that I will just up and drive away? Is it possible other customers have driven away after getting so frustrated with this bad business model? Things were civilized at that point on the phone with the office lady, but he still made this move.
Ultimately, I got them down right near the minimum, but only after finally calling the police when the office lady threatened me first that she was going to.
What a joke. Note to Oz Towing business owner: Time to change your business model. How about this idea? Give an accurate estimate, do a good service, charge a fair price, and you will have more business than you know what to do with. The extra couple bucks you get from bad-​news billing practices would not nearly match all of the extra money you can get from good referrals from happy customers!

Called for a technician to unlock my truck door because I locked my keys in the cabin. Website says they will respond in 20min or less, receptionist tells me 45min (got over the double wait time) the technician called in 1hr 15min after I hangup on my original call and mentioned he was 5 – 7 min away. After another 15 minutes pass he calls again letting me know he’s pulling in. I was charged $ 145 for the service!!! Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of locking my keys in my car and am quite experienced with the billing of this service and have never been billed over $ 65. Especially when the service takes 10minutes or less.
I called the office to find out why I was billed $ 145 and was only told that it is a flat labor cost of 85 and a service fee of 45. I would not recommend this company at all. There are plenty of other companies that will not overcharge you and that have plenty better customer service… I was offered a 10% off if I used their company again, which isn’t a bad deal since I was billed almost $ 150. Hahah not

Unfortunately I can’t select zero stars. My wife some towing service at (408)228−1139 and they sent Oz towing. The driver called and said it will be 15 to 20 minutes. Driver arrived over an hour later and said he needed gas. He picked up the car and then went to Rotten Robbie’s for gas. We should have known that this was a lousy service when he doesn’t even care enough to put quality gas in his vehicle. Oh well… After waiting with him at the gas station for what seemed like forever, he towed our vehicle to the repair shop 3 miles away. He dropped the car and we were done. The service that was called charged $ 130.00 for the tow after quoting an initial price of $ 49.00. They kept adding fees upon fees –price gouging! Lousy service! Don’t call these guys for anything!

This is one of the WORST towing services I’ve ever encountered. I called them up at around 9 AM and the driver kept telling me that he would be on «his way». 1 hour had passed and still no one showed up. I called multiple times only to receive the same response of «I am on my way» and «I will be there soon». After about 2 hours at 11 AM did the driver FINALLY show up. I wanted them to help me tow to the nearest service station which is LITERALLY 1 MILE away and guess what. They told me it would be $ 134 dollars after we arrived at the destination. The quality of service along with the unreasonably extreme prices make this one of the last towing services you will want to contact. I would NOT recommend them to anyone unless all you want are unreasonably long wait times and horrible service bundled with the extreme prices (shop around, there are tons of other companies that are way lower than them)!

They were sent to me by flat rate towing to change a tire (lug nuts put on too tight by my mechanic) took 45 minutes to arrive (quoted 20 – 30), took 8 minutes to change it. Charged $ 115. I wish I had called around and gotten price up front.

These guys charged so much for a change in a flat tire. I did not have a credit card and they said they cannot do it with. They do not bill my insurance which was a major hassle for me. The only good thing is that they are close to my house. If you charge that rate you should be towing Lambos. Drive safe or pay the price. It was a total rip off

2:00am broke down on the freeway no credit card and they still came out! May God bless this business.
