Been coming here for 10 years with Jojoe the owner. My friend has been with him for over 20yrs! This is the best salon and that Philip F is crazy! Don’t base your decision by the only bad review (which is not true)! I’ve also been going to Mandi for my Mink eyelash extensions! LOVE, LOVE her and them! Best salon in town! Getting a facial next week with Mandi too!

The front desk staff at Innovators is like a cancer on the entire staff. I really like the professional staff — everyone is friendly and accommodating. I had been coming to Innovators for at least 5 years now. But no more.
Why the change of heart? Over the last few years, it’s clear that the quality of the front desk has been diminishing. They have been becoming increasingly incompetent. («You have one job, why can’t you do it right???») Twice in the past six months the front desk have scheduled appointments with me, given me cards with date/​time of the appointment, and I show up and somehow — miraculously!!! — my appointment disappeared!
I could understand this happening once. Perhaps even twice if there are no other issues. But I’m rarely seen on-​time. If my appointment is for 1PM, for example, I can pretty much count on sitting from 1 hour and being seen at 2PM. If the management of Innovators has no respect for their customer’s time, then I’m happy to spend my money elsewhere.

I got the most beautiful crimson highlights from Stacia. Always love coming here, it feels like you’re inside a jewelry box from Tiffany’s.

I completely lucked out, and had Stephanie help get me and my bridesmaids ready for my wedding. We only did one trial run, and she nailed it very well for the most part, and was very receptive to what I might like to do differently for the day of.
The day of the actual wedding, she got there early and was waiting patiently for us, with her kit spread out and ready to go. She styled hair for the bridesmaids, and did a lovely job of it. Then, she did my makeup and hair. The input I’d given her from the trial run was incorporated very well, and both hair and makeup came out better than I would have hoped.
If I *ever* need something like this again, I’ll be coming back to her.

This was my first visit to Innovations but it definitely won’t be my last. The salon is beautiful and clean, and it’s a comfortable setting, everyone was very nice and friendly. I came to see Stacia, who had come highly recommended, especially with color. I have extensions in my hair and wanted to have it cut and colored. When I booked the appointment she told me to bring pictures of what I wanted and when I arrived and she looked at the pic, she asked me lots of questions (the sign of a true professional) and made sure she and I were on the same page throughout the whole process. End result was amazing! Exactly what I wanted, both color and cut! Stacia is super friendly, and easy going, and her prices are more than fair. I walked out of Innovations feeling pretty and my hair looked fabulous. To me, the true test is really the day after you get your hair done and are ready to do it yourself, and I was thrilled with the way it looked after I had blown it dry, and didn’t even need to curl or flat iron it at all, which was exactly what I wanted. Stacia has a new client for life and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new hair dresser, she is awesome!

Emily Miller is my genuine artist.
Sometimes it’s so hard trying to decide what you want but luckily Emily analyzes the whole situation, your current hair quality, facial structure, skin tone and what you’ll be able to accomplish on your own as far as styling goes.
I am usually at the hospital or in bed so coming here I need all the input I can get and let me tell you, I always feel beautiful leaving no matter what my health condition is.
She has dyed my hair all blue before. So beautiful and vibrant. We’ve done about a million extensions and let me tell you she’s a genius when it comes to making it look as Ifs your real hair, even if the colors we’ve done are pink, blue or purple.
She’s not only a great and amazing hair artist but she is as genuine as people come. It’s just beautiful the way she cares for her clients as much as her art for hair.

This is the first review I’ve ever done on Unilocal.I’ve been coming to see Stacia Molinari at Innovators for years now, and she is absolutely amazing. She knows exactly what you want, is so much fun to talk to, is very outgoing and friendly, and the salon is gorgeous and her prices are fair. The sweetheart receptionist at the front desk is very welcoming with a great smile and hello, and bakes fresh cookies every day for the clients. The first time I went to the salon, the owner came over and asked if I would like a drink. This place has heart and you feel it as soon as you walk in! I would definitely recommend Stacia to all of my friends and all of you Unilocalers out there as well! Tell her Stacy with the big hair sent you. Lol!

I’ve had my hair done a couple times by stacia (recommended to me from a fellow client) and I highly recommend her for hair coloring, especially blondes! I’m very particular about my highlights and she listened to color I wanted and delivered with excellent results!

Innovators is a great Salon to go to. Everyone is so friendly and professional! They’re a full service salon in a perfect location.

From start to finish my experience here was great. Unilocal photos led me to Stacia and from the moment I contacted her I knew I was in for a treat. She asked me to send her images of what cut and color I was thinking about so that she could start getting ideas too. I had to abruptly cancel my first appointment (because of an unfortunate trip to the emergency room) and Stacia was an absolute sweetie about me needing to reschedule. With my appointment re-​scheduled, my mom called Innovators to find out if they had a similar appointment time for her and they were very accommodating.
My hair was in serious need of love after I’d let a multi-​color rainbow dye job get very faded. Not only did Stacia do a great job transforming my faded frazzled hair into a blue dream, after the dye and blow-​out she noticed one of the colors she used (cobalt) just wasn’t looking right on my hair. Rather than blue it was looking a weird green. She wanted to make sure I was really happy so she offered to re-​dye those pieces with the beautiful dark blue «Sapphire» and ended up dyeing everything again. I really appreciated her being proactive about that rather than leaving it up to me to criticize. I came out of there absolutely thrilled.
If I lived closer I would definitely be a regular client.

I’ve followed Stacia from another salon. She is amazing. Not only can she do a fabulous cut, she can do all kinds of cool color combos and styles. She is fun and hilarious. She’s great with ladies of all ages. I highly recommend her!

Great color and cut with Stacia. I rarely venture out to a new place for my hair and I usually only get it done once a year. I Unilocaled color specialist and this salon came up and most the reviews mentioned Stacia so I thought I’d bite the bullet and let someone new do my hair. It took about 4 – 5 hours, but well worth it– I have a lot of hair and usually only get it partially colored cause no one can do all of it without frying it. My hair is soft and color is just what I wanted– the cut was clean, maintained the length while cleaning up the split ends. Cute salon too! Definitely going back

This review is for Stacia, but I have to say every time I’ve been in there the front desk workers and every hair stylist has always been so friendly! The salon itself is very nice and they always have goodies up at the front!
I followed Stacia from another hair salon to this one and have been with her for about 2 years now. She’s absolutely amazing! I am a very indecisive person and am constantly changing my mind but she handles me well and i always come out with great looking hair! She’s done everything on me from making me very blonde (I naturally have dark brown hair), to layers and short haircuts. I trust her and she is very good at what she does! Not to mention she’s very easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable throughout the process! Thank you Stacia for everything you’ve done, you’re amazing!

The worst! !!! I just took my son 8yrs old because he cut his hair himself (not unusual in kids) and the lady there (I don’t even remember her name) straight hair, light blond who had 2 little daughters she was super nice receiving us and saying «I’m going to fix it» well I don’t really know what kind of training she had but she spent a lot of time and my son ended up with more layers than the beginning !!, Plus she cut my son’s ear with the electric tool!!! On top of that she was kind of strong when she talked to my son asking him to move his head here and there I tried to keep calm and thought well it might be her personality but I got so upset when she cut my son’s ear I had to stop her because she was still saying «oh is so good, nothing happened and I’m done», I told her that was not good and yes something has happened! I just asked her to stop and how much I owe her she said «$ 25 because Idon’t do cheap cuts! !!! … I told her I will pay you 20 $ and I got a better service for less I really shouldn’t pay you for this. This woman really lacks of professionalism! I have some pics of my son’s haircut I don’t know if I can upload them but if I can I will gladly show you the awful job this person did. Ughhh

I get a Brazilian blowout from Stacia every few months and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent!!! Stacia makes my hair feel so healthy as I have natural frizzy hair and it’s so easy to do in the morning! She is so caring about her clients and always remembers exactly how I like my hair. I had been going to my hair girl for years but she moved out of state so it was hard to find someone else I really loved. Thank you Stacia for giving me healthy hair :)

Stacia just keeps getting better and better! I took both my teenage daughters in, 15 and 17. One has hair down to her bottom and had a good 6 inches trimmed off. She was really happy with cut. She has soooo much hair that it was a challenge and Stacia did an amazing job. The other daughter went in again to Stacia for a blonder look and she was really happy with the results. She also had a steam infusion which is really affordable and locks into the ends to prevent split ends… especially in color treated hair.
Thank you Stacia! We keep coming back.

A BILLION STARS FOR STEPHANIE!
I have to write a review for my fabulous hair stylist STEPHANIE. She is the greatest hair stylist in existence! I am VERY particular about my hair and she is always patient with me. She makes sure I am satisfied with my hair every time I go to see her. She is attentive to my needs during the hair process i.e. magazines, water, comfort, etc. She is also happy to explain what she is doing or why she is doing it if I am curious. She is a wizard with the coloring process and never cuts more hair than I tell her I would like. She clearly loves what she does and I love going to her!
I recommend her with the highest regard!

I met Stephanie 3 years ago when she was working at Regis in Valley Fair. I wasn’t her regular, rather, my friend/​stylist (Kristin) worked there as well and if she was running behind and Stephanie had time, she would get my shampoo started. When Kristin left, the only logical step was to start seeing Stephanie. She left Regis about 18 months ago, and of course, I followed her to Innovators.
It’s such a great salon, downright lovely, if you ask me! The gals are always pleasant at the front, and while I always book with Stephanie directly, they are always smiling to great me when I walk in. I think my all-​time favorite feature at Innovators is the shampoo bowl directly at the stations, and the fact that they are semi-​walled off, so you feel like you’re having a little private session with stylist.
A little about Stephanie… She is fantastic. My hair is curly, frizzy, dry, and often times, very difficult for me to keep up with if I let it air dry. Stephanie has always been able to tame my hair and give me a cut that works with my hair type. She’s also seen me through several different styles, from a drastic a-​line bob with color panels, the grow-​out phase when I was desperately hoping my hair would be long enough for my wedding, and now, the crazy phase where my goal in life is to have hair like Beyonce. She’ll always offer the best. I know how long it takes to blow dry and flat iron my hair, but if she’s got the time, I will walk out of Innovators looking hella fancy!
That’s right, I said «hella fancy»!!! Just embrace it, ok?
Bonus! Her prices are REALLY reasonable considering the caliber of this salon and her talent.

This place has such a great vibe. and it’s in a very convenient location. Its near a big Nob HIll, and in the heart of a complex full of other small businesses. One thing missing — a coffee shop. But I was relieved that the salon serves coffee there!!! You might have to ask for it, but they have a pot to make it. What I like most about Innovators is the fact that every hair station is more private than in most salons, and has a sink in every station. Lauryn has been doing my hair for quite some time now, and when she moved into this salon I thought… BOO YA! You will feel like royalty, just as you should when you treat yourself to a hair day :-) Thank you Lauryn for always reading my mind when it comes to my hair, and being chatty with me too :-)
For any newbies, you won’t be disappointed in this place. They even offer some other treatments like massage, etc. Check it out! And ask for Lauryn for your next appointment if you want someone that really takes the time to know what you want. You won’t regret it!
