Specialties
Belly, Baby, Mama & More!
Harmony offers a sanctuary of specialized massage, yoga, classes, and events from pregnancy & breastfeeding to baby, toddler, and family fun.
We offer a serene space where new and expectant moms and families can make friends, share wisdom, gain information & insights, and be welcomed and honored as an individual.
History
Established in 2004.
We believe that pregnant and new moms and parents deserve to be treated with respect and nurtured — body, mind, and spirit — as individuals during this amazing and complex journey into parenthood.
It is this belief that informs everything about Harmony’s offerings, instructors, staff, and space — from our diversity of class styles and approaches, to our 100% «green» and nontoxic cleaning service.
It is why Harmony’s clientele grows primarily by word of mouth, our offerings continue to expand, and our space doubled out of necessity after only 2 years in business.
We collect the most exceptional instructors and staff who will not judge or advise, but rather support, inform, and encourage. We create an environment where the innate and gained wisdom of parents is recognized and shared, and insights can grow.
Meet the Business Owner
Kristin E.
Business Owner
Kristin opened Harmony with the support of a community of birth professionals, in order to provide moms and families a comfortable and serene space to find nonjudgmental support and information, to be honored for their individual choices, and to be nurtured — body, mind, and spirit.
From a background in psychology and social services, Kristin’s passion is supporting and empowering women and families. After spending several years as a Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator, Kristin helped to found BABI, Bay Area Birth Information, a non-profit birth & parenting resource and referral organization, where she served as President of the Board of Directors from 2003 – 2006.
During this time, she saw the growing need for center in the South Bay — a sanctuary where expectant and new parents could find everything they need in one place — friends, unbiased information, nonjudgmental support, enrichment, and fun.
She continues to attend births, lead classes, and support Mamas.
