A couple of weeks ago I was invited to this presentation, a bit skeptical before arriving after reading all the reviews I thought there would be a lot of hard selling going on. To my surprise they actually presented a opportunity that made sense, if you are frequent traveler. Of course like any other Marketing company they have to find a way to get you in, so they offer you a” Free 3 day vacation”. Now, less be real there is nothing for free, you will have to pay a lot of up front tax and fees to even start a reservations. My opinion your better off going online and booking directly with a company that’s shows you all the up front fees. Back to the presentation I thought this program might work for me but after sleeping on this decision I decided that the program was not the best thing for me right now due to other financial obligations. The next day I drove back out to the Campbell location and met back up with one of the managers Ben. I decided that I didn’t want to invest now, Ben was very understanding and withdrew all contracts and funds authorized the day before. He displayed great customer service and commitment to his organization. I will revisit this opportunity at a later date. Thank you for excellent customer service.

Now that I have a bit more experience and insight after a few trips
Q: Is it a scam?
A: No. But the «free cruise» isn’t as good of a deal due to the taxes they charge so your going to see lots of bad reviews about that in particular. As a result, I would factor out those reviews since that should not factor in your reason to join or not join in my opinion.
Q: Better than a timeshare
A: Most definitely. If your considering that — this is better — no question in my mind there
Q: Is it worth the cost?
A: Hard question to answer but read my previous review and your know that if you have a flexible schedule or retired or travel a lot with the family — you will save money. Estimate saving + commission you probably save at least 10% per trip. So for a $ 4000 trip for the family that is probably $ 400. If your doing a cruise or something with higher commission — it is much higher like $ 800.
Q: When you should not do it. Do not do it if a majority of your travel costs are only flights since your biggest discounts will be on cruises, hotels, tours and packages. Do not do it if your in huge debt.

Got a Certificate for a 3 Night Mexico Cruise on Princess out of San Pedro with flight for sitting through their presentation. Called and was told the flight (which is typically 1 hour) will have multiple layovers and take two extra days because the flights will be for the day after and day before the cruise. Surprisingly (or not), If I pay $ 250 more per person I can be upgraded to a non stop flight on the same day the cruise leaves/​returns.
With that upgrade my free trip for 2 is now up to $ 800. So far I’ve paid about $ 400 up front for taxes/​fees/​deposits for me and my wife.
My agent mentioned that most people don’t like these terms so alternately I can forfeit my cruise/​flight for 2 nights in Reno.
Save yourself the expense and heed my warning. With early booking directly from the Airline and Princess you’ll pay pretty much the same.

If you’re not married, make sure you have some thing that has you and your girlfriends address on it together, bring a credit card not a debit card, and make sure you make enough money to get the cruise offer.
This is not a timeshare. You are buying the ability to get travel discounts on major hotels/​airlines/​packages, etc.
So yea, it’s roughly $ 8,000 plus $ 495 registration fee and $ 150 a year to keep the membership up. If you don’t travel a lot it’s not worth it at all.
Me and the lady sat thru the sales presentation. Got grilled to buy it, when we didn’t, we got passed to 3 other sales reps to try and force us to buy. Each time they will discount it a bit more, eventually going to a $ 4,000 option or a try it for a lil while option for $ 1,000 then use that as a credit to get the life membership, that has survivors benefits (You an give it to your kids)
During the high pressure sales presentation I was bored and started googling the company. Say ton’s of bad reviews. Check out google plus, Unilocal,complaintsboard, rip off report, yellow pages, etc.
Several people mentioned that they could get better deals by purchasing the same trip thru Expedia. I mentioned that to my first «salesman» and he agreed. Before I had a chance to talk further with him, I was given a different salesman.
Eventually I was passed to the manager for my last hard sell. I tried to get him to Pull up some travel packages on internet travel sites like expedia and compare them to what his company can do; but he downright refused to do it.
So no idea if this company is legit or not.
I didn’t get my $ 100 gift card they promised, but did get the 3 night cruise voucher. Be advised you will have to pay $ 300 or so to get a bare bones no window stateroom and you will have to go thru multiple requests to get your travel date; if ever. Best option pay for an upgraded stateroom (You’ll be glad you did) and you’ll get a travel date.

Do not go to Goldrush Getaways … this company is a «Huge Scam». You go for the presentation and they’ll give you a free cruise coupon. Actually you are paying for the cruise and they’ll put you in the worse cabin unless you paid for the upgrade.

They had me ready to sign up next year when I will have the $ 8,500 funds this costs… then oddly they failed to return the entire $ 40 «deposit» they charged to «reserve» a spot. RED FLAG!!!
When I caught it and went back to get my money, i received a major frosty attitude. The lady who checked me in blamed ME for her failure to get whatever paperwork she wanted when we checked in. However, she was an angel in disguise, methinks…

Scam, 100%. Luring people into the sales presentation with offers of «free cruises» that are designed to be nearly impossible to use. (Extensive restrictions and two levels of «tax deposits» required before you can even send in your travel choices (for a family of four they required $ 984 in «tax deposit» money.
Not worth it! Save your precious time and run for the hills.

Walked into a Fair and saw a tent with a big sign that said «win a free trip», jumped on the chance and we actually won a free trip to San Diego. So we decided to listen to the presentation and kept an open mind.
After the presentation we had several questions. Which were answered. We were the youngest couple in the room by at least 30 years… So it was a surprise to them when we raised our hands first to take advantage of the $ 1000!
So now we are members and we have spend some time reading the material, it’s pure genius. By making the members travel agents, they receive the same rates, benefits, and booking expectations as agents! Wish I would have thought of it.
We are so excited about our future travel plans! The give away was cool but if that is the only reason you went in, then you missed out on what was really being sold. A Lifetime of ridiculously low travel costs.

I recently became a member. I was very skeptical at first, but after going to the classes and see just how great of a value being a member is; I’m glad I did it.
The staff is very sweet. Melonie in particular is super helpful and very kind. Any question we had about being a member Melonie was able to answer with clarity and helpfulness. I never felt like I was a burden to her.
Additionally, the lady who runs the classes is also very great and knowledgable. She gives very clear instructions.
I’m very glad I became a member!

What a scam they have going. And talk about no ethics, they are gender prejudice and age discriminatory. I walk by their booth at the Napa Home and garden show. with my girlfriend of many years and they offer a spin of their prize wheel. We won according to them a choice of an all expense paid vacation including air fare to five different places. We picked the 5 Day Cruise which did not include air fare but we were able choose one port out of 5 different ones to go out of. They told us that we would have to pick up our prize at their office in Campbell and asked if we would like to sit in on a presentation on how the company works. They also told us that we would have to leave a $ 40.00 deposit that would be returned to us once we arrived at the agency. They would also give us $ 20.00 in gas and a $ 100.00 dinner coupon along with our all expense paid cruise when we got there. We agreed since we were going to be there anyway, and I travel 4 – 6 times a years and it could be a benefit to me. We started filling out the form for the prize and the rep noticed we didn’t have the same name. She asked if we lived together. We replied no but have been together for several years. She said that is a problem. You have to be living at the same address, or she has to be making over $ 100,000 and over the age of 50. She was 49 and didn’t make that much. I told her I was 62 and make over that amount. The rep said that only applies to women because we have found that women tend to travel more often than men. You would have to provide something at the time of the presentation that if your not married, that you live at the same address. You would also need a valid credit card. What for? The trip is free and supposedly I need not buy anything at the presentation. Well that was fine with me I really didn’t want to spend time at a presentation but can go and get my prize package… Sorry the rules apply for the prize package too. What? That wasn’t explained to me or posted anywhere before I spun the wheel. As a constellation gift for not being a prize winner that they give to everyone, they gave me a certificate for either 2 nights in Vegas or San Diego with a list of restriction on how and when to use. Including telling you about a fee you have to pay when you make the reservation. No free 5 day cruise, no $ 100.00 food gift card, or the $ 20.00 gas money. I ripped up the coupon and threw it back at them on the table. Well I will remember this company, and since my employment deals with making contact with people, so will a lot of other people. By the way when I went to their web site, the only Unilocal reviews they had posted were the positive ones.

Don’t go to this place, it is such a rip off. It is a waste of time. They offered us a weekend getaway to Las Vegas and after so many phone calls and faxes we ended up with nothung. They told us they would look into it and then never contacted us again. Then they offered us a $ 100.00 restaurant gift card which really wasn’t worth a $ 100.00. Avoid this place like the plague.

I filled out what I thought was a survey at the Beer and Bacon Classic in San Jose. It said a winner (s) would be selected for a free getaway. Instead, they gave (or sold) all of the phone numbers to this company. According to a quick search, a company called Elite Marketing called my wife and said we just had to attend a 1 – 2 hour tour of Goldrush Getaways travel company to get our free trip. We said no because we were not interested in a timeshare (which they insisted they were not).
They called my cellphone a day later and I didn’t answer. They left a VM and I just deleted it. They have called me on average twice a day everyday since and it’s been several weeks. I blocked their number. If Goldrush Getaways is a legitimate company, they should stop their association with Elite Marketing.

I was contact my mail with an «AWARD NOTIFICATION» for a 4 night cruise and more. DO NOT BELIEVE IT !! It is a scam. The representative told me «no pressure» and nothing to buy, and that it was only for information. NOT TRUE. High pressure tactics to get you to buy a travel agency «license» to sell travel so you will get some rebate. Also the promissed promotions are difficult to reserve; they do not have the date you want, and the EXTRA CHARGES for the reservations far exceed the normal cost if you when on line to purchase the identical products. They do not want to return your $ 50 deposit, and have the entire process unprofessional and very much a «bait and switch» issue. So BE PREPARED if you go; you will not come out whole.

The staff was very nice and the sale pressures are minimal. The sales person even explained to me that if I am not sure if the product is for me, I shouldn’t buy it because California law allows a 3 day cooling period and I would have cancelled anyway. All in all, I see potential in this travel products.
1. you get a guarantee $ 450 a week condo (s) a year
2. finish the training with Princess and Disney and get a free cruise
3. use their CLIA number for volume discount and get a percentage (s) commssion
If I have a lot of time on my hand to play the agent game and like to travel a lot, this product will serve me good. Maybe when I am ready to retire, this will definitely worth another shot.

gift card that’s more of a spend 20 get 10 off voucher.
Also got a two day voucher hotel & airfare voucher We have been getting the run around for a year now trying to use it. Dates selected as is the procedure and nothing delivered.
Free Travel voucher yea maybe two years later. The whole thing is designed to not to be deliverable. We have already chosen to receive our money back on one of the other vouchers due to the headaches.
Trust me stay away from this company look at their reviews for their other offices
